“Once again Savanah is the best! Our senior girl had a medical issue and she called me right away and took great care of her until we could make it home. It is so evident that she truly cares! Thank you again Savanah!”

“Kayleigh did an amazing job taking care of Phoebe. During the fireworks she was attentive and patient. This was my first time booking with Kayleigh and we looking forward to re-booking her in the future.”

“We’re so thankful she was able to accept our last-minute urgent request—it really helped us out. She took great care of our pets and followed all the instructions we left, which we really appreciated. She also tidied up, which was very sweet and appreciated.”

“Absolutely amazing dog sitter! Rachel took such great care of our dogs and kept us updated the whole time with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would absolutely book with Rachel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“This was our first time having Lexuz care for our animals and home and we’ll certainly be seeking her out for future needs. I love that she can work from our home during her stay so the animals have lots of company rather than being left alone for long stretches.”
“Faith was great and really communicative! Our dog is quite shy and Faith did a great job updating us on how he was doing. We will definitely use faith again in the future.”
“Caitlin did a wonderful job with our two doodle dogs, Ridley and Poe. We were gone for several weeks and really needed someone that could be present a majority of the time. We really appreciated her providing the dogs that comfort and attention. She also sent daily dog and house updates and photos which we really liked! It was very nice to come back home to happy, healthy dogs and a clean house. We highly recommend her services.”

“We recently moved to the area and were nervous about leaving our skittish rescue dogs with someone new. Beth was incredible from the start—she took the time to come over beforehand to meet them, approaching them in such a calm, warm, and reassuring way. She clearly understands how to handle nervous dogs without overwhelming them. Throughout the day, she sent so many pictures and updates without me even having to ask (which, for me, is a must!). Her communication was excellent, and when we got home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be using her again! Highly recommend!”

“My dogs loved Alexandra. I could tell how happy they were when we got home and in their interactions with her. She was responsive, communicative and we felt so comfortable with her in our home. Murray and Livie can't wait for her to come back and stay with them!”

“Sheyna was fantastic in every way! She was very communicative with us from start to finish, and took the best care of our 3 dogs. We will definitely be using her again!l in the future! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve pet sat different kinds of animals from dogs to tortoises, as well as having owned birds, dogs, fish, and more! I’m a non smoker non drinker, and love being active! I work part time and do online school so I have plenty of time to care for animals. I can’t keep your animals in my home as there are no pets aloud, but I love spending all the time I can with them! I don’t smoke or drink and I pride myself on my cleanliness, and attention to detail. If I am staying somewhere I like to leave it in a way that makes it feel like I wasn't even there. The only way you'll know I came is your happy healthy animal.

About: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember! I am new to the Rover community but I am not new to loving on the pups as I have committed myself to learning the best ways to adapt and give the best care for them. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs, I will dedicate my time to loving them (which is SO easy for me to do). I would be honored to take them to a dog park where they can also interact with the other puppers while you’re away! While I have had dogs of all sizes my entire life, I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment. This means I am full of energy and love to give to you and yours! I currently work from home part time so I have lots of time and love to give! This is intentional as I would like to spend more of time around the doggos. I am mostly available M-F but can be available on the weekends as needed, spending time with your pup is something I look forward to! My apartment has a dog park for both small and big dogs, as well as a full park just down the street. I do not own a crate of my own at the moment but I am able to set up their home crate in my space if needed.
“Kailyn communicated well and arrived and departed as agreed to. She left the house in the same condition it was when we left and washed her bedding and cleaned the dog bowls. Our dogs were content upon our return. We appreciated her professionalism!”

“Had Jay come stay with my 90 lb boxer while I was on work trip. It’s not always easy to find someone who is a fit for a large dog but no issue for Jay and took her in multiple walks/day which was a big plus. He sent daily messages/videos of what was happening and updates on meals, walks and asked for clarifications etc. (probably the best communication I’ve had with a rover sitter)! He also did nice job picking up and having house clean when I got home…very thoughtful. Most of all, I think having someone stay at the house is the least stressful / disruptive option for my dog when I’m traveling. Jay worked at my house during the day which provided much more in-person time than sitter who comes at night and leaves in the morning….that was extra peace of mind for me and a big benefit for my social dog. Thanks Jay! Coco and I really appreciated your help!!!!”

“This is the second time I’ve used sierra to watch my dogs. She is incredibly attentive and very communicative. She did a great job taking care of them and is also very trustworthy for house sitting. Will definitely continue to use her when I need to.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Buckeye is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Buckeye
Billie took excellent care of our dogs while we were away and our dogs absolutely love her! In the past we haven’t been able to find anyone who was willing to stay with our dogs and care for them that they also liked. When we got home they weren’t anxious they acted like we had been gone as few hours instead of almost a week. She sent us pictures and texts daily to let us know how they were doing. In the future she is our number one choice for the care of our dogs.

Virginia was great/ she kept me informed the whole time, sent me plenty of pictures and videos. Our pups are not high maintenance by any means but I like for them to stay active and not just lay around and she did a good job of keeping them entertained through out the day. Will be using her for drop ins that how much we enjoyed her !

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Buckeye walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Buckeye maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Buckeye choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Buckeye. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
