âViviana and her family are absolutely amazing! My pup, Ollie the Border Collie, absolutely loves them (maybe more than he loves me đ) I have been working crazy hours, but I am so grateful for a safe and fun place to bring my dog. Viviana, thank you so much for your help the past few monthsâit would've been impossible without your warm and loving hospitality to Ollie. I appreciate your great communication and your willingness to forgive me when I was running a little late đ â

âKalen took very good care of my two little ones. He is very communicative and kept me up to date with photos and even some medical issues that arose regarding my girls spay recovery. Kalen made sure my babies were comfortable and accommodated their needs. Will definitely book with him again!â

âBrianne takes such good care of our little boy. Also, while heâs not used to being around other dogs, she does a great job of integrating him and making him comfortable and sociable. Itâs impressive honestly. I also love that I get updates and pics throughout his stay. Iâll definitely be using her services again!â

About: Since I was a little girl I have always loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. Growing up I have raised and fostered over 20+ dogs, cats/kittens. I have also had the blessing of being able to raise a couple of ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, and some reptiles. Had my mother let me, I would have requested a whole farm, however there were other important teachings in my adolescent years. Pet care easily fits into my flexible schedule as I am completely remote. My company is based out of Ohio and is mostly administration work which allows me the blessing to travel with my laptop and work from anywhere. I have a large backyard and a doggy door. I have three lynx point siamese kittens. All of my pets are fully vaccinated. I have three loving kids and a vast 5 bedroom home. I ask that we are completely open about your furbabys needs, so I can prepare at making them feel like they are on a vacation. And that you have peace of mind while they are here being cared for. If youâre on vacation, your babies should be too. Pet care fits into my schedule 24:7. I am completely remote and can assure you that your fur baby will receive top notch hospitality, love and attention. You should feel safe leaving your furbaby here when traveling. I always prefer a tour of our home with your pet so they feel at ease when the time comes for drop off. Furbabys can sense their owners emotions when entering a new place.

Caring for a dog with anxiety has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding in creating a safe and comforting environment. At home, I ensure my anxious dog feels secure by maintaining a predictable routine, providing a quiet space to retreat when overwhelmed, and using calming techniques such as soothing music, gentle reassurance, and interactive toys. These experiences have helped me develop a deep empathy for dogs with unique needs, which I apply when caring for other peopleâs pets. I am attentive to each dogâs behavior, ensuring they feel relaxed and comfortable, whether through structured activities, gentle walks, or simply offering a calming presence. My goal is always to prioritize their emotional and physical well-being.

About: This is my full time and only job. I do rover because I love it not because I need to. I am a stay at home mom and this is my favorite hobby. My daughter loves animals just as much as I do and is the best helper! We have a cat named Chomp. He is the white and orange cat with blue eyes featured in my photos. He is our only pet at the moment. I had a rescue dog for 11 years until he was around 16. Murphy is the brindle longhaired dachshund mix in the photos. I rescued him from a medical shelter. He had a broken pelvis and both back legs fractured. He had to go through an extensive amount of physical therapy before he was adoptable. He was so energetic and so sweet despite his past. However he still struggled with anxiety which I can only assume due to past trauma. I learned so much from him throughout our time together. He taught me all dogs need love and patience, some a little more than others. I take pride in doing my very best to look after all of my clients pets no matter the needs. Every pet is different and itâs important to understand how they need to be cared for. I am available to be a routine caregiver and can always take on new pets as well. Canât wait to meet and make new furry friends! Rover is my full time job and have a pretty open availability. I dedicate my time caring for beloved pets. I love all animals and canât wait to hang out with your furry best friends! All animals deserve care and compassion! I intend to care for your pets as I would my own. Whatever you and your pets need I am happy to help!
About: I am an experienced pet owner who has had many dogs, cats, birds and farm animal pets in my lifetime. I am caring and responsible and will always have your babies wellbeing and safety as my top priority. I have always appreciated a pet sitter I could trust and now that I am retired, I want to give that same peace of mind to others. You have lots of options and various types / cost of care, but rest assured, I take this responsibility seriously and will be a reliable and comforting choice. I recently retired and am excited to schedule around this new fun job (caring for others pets). I am limiting my boarding to one client at a time and am only taking a few drop-ins at a time within the community I live - Estrella Mountain Ranch. This will provide greater care to YOU because I am close to home.. I have a fenced yard, and I also have a wonderful dog run (fully enclosed for safety) with easy access through an accessible pet door. I will only take one client's pet(s) in my home at a time for overall safety. For my 17 lb pup and my health & safety, I am also only taking pets in my home that are 25 lbs or under and are non-aggressive - we will have a meet and greet to ensure everyone is comfortable. I have room to accommodate pet crates if your pup is comfortable in one. Also, I will make regular visits to care for your small fur babies in their own home, if that is better for you.

If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
