About: I’ve been caring for pets since 2015, although I’ve always grown up around animals. What started as helping friends and family while they were out of town—sometimes for weeks or even months—quickly became something I truly enjoy and take pride in. I believe that building trust with both pets and their owners is key to providing the best care possible. Before any stay, I like to meet the pet and owner together to get familiar with their routine, any special activities they enjoy, and any health needs I should be aware of. This helps ensure a smooth transition and allows me to care for each pet as if they were my own I recently moved to Maine in May, and I am excited to make this my forever home. While I’m currently job searching, I’m fully available and would love to focus on pet sitting in the meantime. I have open availability and can be flexible with scheduling to meet your needs At our home, I have a spacious 1.1-acre property with a beautiful front yard, a peaceful pond, and a large backyard all of which are unfenced. Pet guests enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time in these open areas. I always meet with the owner ahead of time to learn about the dog’s routine, preferences, and any special needs. From there, I create a care plan that helps your dog feel comfortable and keeps their routine consistent while they’re with me.

About: I've been a proud dogs and cat owner my whole life! I have 8 years of experience dealing with reactive dogs and regularly volunteer at MidCoast Humane animal shelter. I am happy with both high energy and lower energy animals, able to go on a run, throw a ball or cuddle up at home! I am a student-athlete at Bowdoin College and can mold my schedule around caretaking. I am both an early riser and night owl and have a car on campus for commutes! I pride myself on cleanliness and time management. My goal is to always leave the home better than I found it while giving the animal as much care as they need.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was young, pet-sitting for our neighbors. I have experience with all sorts of breeds of dogs of all ages and cats. I have experience with feeding, walking, training, and bathing dogs. I am currently working full-time throughout the weekdays. I would be available for daytime care on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am available throughout the week days after 5 pm. I can take your dogs out for walks around town, the dog park, or your neighborhood. If transporting in the car I have multiple ways to make sure they are safe including harnessing them, crating them, etc. I am also able to bathe the dog if desired.

I used to pet sit/ house sit a lot in college since it allowed me to be closer to campus and get to spend time with animals as I couldn't have my own. I have enjoyed making sure that they are my number 1 priority. I provide good walks when needed and give them all the love and care they deserve. I will keep my schedule as updated as possible. My work is quite independent and flexible so I will be able to provide breaks throughout the day and walk dogs when needed. I always do my best when pet sitting to keep the dogs routine as similar as possible to make them at ease. I make sure to a watch for cues in case they appear stressed and give them attention when needed. It is not always easy for them when their owners are gone.

About: Taking care of my two rescue dogs is what I enjoy. One is now 10 years old, and the other 16 years old. I have taken care of many other families and friends pets as well. They have always been extremely pleased with care provided. I hope to one day open and operate my own non profit dog rescue. Schedule is wide open as I am in transition between careers! I like to stay physical by walking, going to the gym and enjoying the outdoors. I follow the pet’s routine given by the owner and add in some extra love and attention! I’ve always been a trustworthy person to have in your home and I’m very good with pets, even the difficult ones.

About: I worked at a friend’s grooming shop for 3 years on the side during college. It was not a glamorous job most would say, however, I loved it. My task was the bathe, dry and clip their nails. What made it worth it was how scared they were, and how I could comfort them. I learned how to handle aggressive dogs, understand body language, and share the same love with their owners. I lost my dog last year who meant everything to me. She had significant medical issues. She had cluster seizures and had to take very regimented medication. I had timers for every six hours starting at 6am- 10pm. I know how to give rectal medication, I understand when a seizure is coming on, if she had 2 or more we would immediately go to the ER. She was playful and didn’t allow her medical issues to dictate her life. I have cared for both large and small dogs. I have walked many dogs since losing mine to fill the hole that’s been left behind. If they enjoy the woods, that’s where we go. I’m very familiar and comfortable removing ticks and looking for them (the grooming days). Please ask if you have any questions. I work in finance with a lot of wiggle room throughout the week. I have the ability to make up time throughout the day. There’s nothing more enjoyable to me than watching your baby enjoy themselves. It’s so heartwarming. I care for any animal as if they were my own. In fact, when I last dog sat, I worked from their location all day so that I didn’t leave their pup alone. The only time that I would leave would be for an appointment with a client. I’m a pretty serious homebody, and love snuggling and skritching if your animal is open to it. The last nugget I watched I visited without payment. It truly is payment enough to spend time with them and watch them enjoy their lives. There’s nothing better than watching a happy pup. I take rules of watching anyone’s animal very seriously. With my prior experience I understand diet restrictions, medical emergencies, when to play, reading body language. I was a bit of a helicopter mom with my dog. Nothing really goes unnoticed. I am respectful of people’s property as well as cleaning up after accidents. I’m familiar with incontinence and have used diapers and pee pads as directed. I am someone who wants all the little details of how you care for your animal. I also am ALWAYS ready to send videos and pictures. I know I needed these if I wasn’t around.
