“Jenna took great care of our dogs and home while we were gone for 5 days! She texted us an update every day and clearly gave our fur babies lots of love while we were gone.”

“Craig and Chelsea house sat and took care of Daphne, our 2 year old lab, while we were on vacation for a week. They are simply the best! Reliable, great communication, and care for our dog like she is their own. We received notes and pics daily, which was awesome to have that peace of mind while we were away. So lucky to have connected with Craig and Chelsea and will certainly continue to use their services!”

“Jonas was very accommodating to our dogs needs. She was well cared for and we were kept well informed with lots of pictures of daily activities. They kept the house in great condition as well- even watered our many flower boxes and plants. Would definitely use Jonas again”

“Felicia is a wonderful dog and house sitter! This is the second time she has taken care of the dogs for us. She is warm and loving with the pups and very professional with her obligations. The dogs adore her and we are so glad we came across Felicia on Rover. Communication is strong and we lovingly refer to Felicia as our dog whisperer.”

“From the moment I met Rebecca, I knew she was the right person to watch my pup. Her warm spirit and dog loving heart was exactly what I was hoping to find a person to watch my service dog. She was attentive, sent pictures, and assured me the visit was going well at my house. I would highly recommend Rebecca to anyone needing a someone to love and care for their dog.”

“Avery was so wonderful. He handled my reactive dogs, my senior dog, and ours kitties so kindly and patiently. Two of my dogs decided it was the perfect time to tussle, Avery was able to quickly clean them up and back to being buddies again. I was given the perfect amount of updates. Avery is super easy to work with and was willing to help out with watering plants as a last minute request. He left my home tidy making it easy on my family to return to. 100% will hire again.”

“We were so pleased with the care that Amy provided our pups! She was thoughtful and super conscientious, sending photos and updates on their fun! Arriving home to three relaxed dogs confirmed they were well taken care of! Thanks Amy ?”
“Sage was AMAZING. Tons of communication, pictures and she is super reliable. Our one dog has anxiety with other dogs and humans but she warmed right up to her. She is a fantastic human and any fur babies would be lucky to have her pet sit.”

About: I have had at least one dog at all times of my life, ranging from big to small and young to old. I’d say I have been the primary dog walker in my house since I was around 10 years old and have gradually added responsibilities over the years. I’ve been fortunate enough to help watch, walk, or check-in on friends and family pets for years now as well. I currently have two pups, both King Charles Cavaliers. I recently graduated with my Master’s and only working part-time this Summer while studying for my board exam. This allows for plenty of time throughout the week, or at potentially strange hours to do visits or walks. I am happy to offer check-in, walks, or even pet-sitting depending on how much notice I receive. I previously have had senior pets with varying needs and totally understand every situation is different. I’d be happy to follow any directions on specific caregiving for your pets and make them as comfortable and happy as I can.
About: Hello there! I’m currently sticking around in the Brunswick/Topsham Maine area. I have walked dogs for traveling nurses, vacationers, dog parents that want to ensure their dogs have a special play time while they are at work, and specialty care for a dog that had hip surgery. Whether it's light jogging, hiking, frisbee, fetch, parks, or any activities your dog is used to or enjoys doing, I am happy to be that pal to them! I LOVE taking photos and videos of dogs, and would absolutely be sending you photos or videos of how your dog(s) doing! Dog behavior/language is something I have a keen awareness of. I have been around many breeds of dogs, as well as livestock guardian type breeds. I am very open in communication, and find that essential for the best possible accommodation/time with your furry family member, knowing what his/her needs are. I’m a dog mom and have experience with all kinds of breeds and sizes, from livestock guardian dogs that live with goats, to my tiny long haired Chihuahua…Of you have any questions at all feel free to reach out! I am currently available on Friday mornings until the afternoon. I’m am usually available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I can do quick early morning drop ins and very late night drops in ( quick potty breaks, not walks after 10pm) Depending on your dogs individual needs, and comfort level with me, I would be doing drop ins, as well as dog walking. lease let me know any info about medication needs, special needs, aggression, anxieties your dog(s) might have towards strangers, genders, certain noises etc.
About: I am a huge animal lover and have always had dogs my entire life! I currently have two cats, but love visiting all my friends with pups/watching or taking care of them while my friends are away! Animals usually take to me very well and I love all breeds and sizes! I currently have a full time job so whenever I’m not working there I have a good amount of free time and love to go on walks to the ocean and parks! I figured I could easily do that while walking a dog as well! I do not offer services inside my house at this time unfortunately, only due to a no dog policy that is enforced by my landlord.
“Thank Ann! She was everything we hoped for and more. We have a cat who can be a challenge, with his funny ways and she rolled with it - even turning him into a friend. Can’t thank her enough! Also, she left the house as near or neater than when we left! Truly grateful!!”

About: I've taken care of animals since I was young, often a family friend and now often my own friends! I am open to all animals, any age, any kind. I know how stressed animals can get when their people are away, and I believe in providing a temporary replacement that is as near to their normal as possible. I'm not currently working, so I am mostly free throughout each week! I am able to come and go at any time in the day as well! Safety and trust are my top priority with every pet I care for. For house sitting, I stay in your home to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible like sticking closely to their usual feeding, medication, and bathroom schedule, keeping doors and gates secure, and making sure the home stays safe and undisturbed while you’re away. Pets tend to feel calmer staying in their own space, and I’m there to give them company and attention throughout. For drop-in visits, I do a quick walkthrough on arrival to make sure everything is as it should be, follow your instructions exactly for feeding, litter box or bathroom needs, and always double check doors and gates are secure before I leave. For walks, dogs stay leashed at all times unless you’ve told me otherwise and I’ve confirmed the area is safe, and I stay alert to traffic, other animals, and weather conditions. For cats, I’m mindful of their comfort level and never force interaction or handling they’re not used to. Across all services, I send photo and text updates so you always know how your pet is doing, and I keep emergency contacts (you and your vet) on hand just in case!
“We recently had the pleasure of having Katherine watch our two Labrador Retrievers—one a gentle giant at 12 ½ years old and 100 pounds, and the other a lively 7-year old at 65 pounds—and we couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care she provided. Katherine followed our instructions to a tee, making sure both dogs got all the exercise they needed, despite their different energy levels. She also took outstanding care of our home. Her genuine love for animals shone through in the way she handled our dogs. We came home to two very happy and well cared for Labs. We would highly, highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and responsible pet sitter. She truly exceeded our expectations and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away.”

“Amazing! She was able to handle a Great Dane AND puppy Great Dane. Enough said. Great communication, fast response, and gave the dogs all the love they needed and more.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brunswick
Jenna was a phenomenal dog sitter for me--excellent communication, great care, so reliable. I can't recommend her enough. She unfortunately had to deal with my dog getting diarrhea the last night which kept Jenna awake through the night to take care of things. She also came back to check on our dog one more time after leaving to walk her and make sure she was doing alright. Jenna went above and beyond and I'm truly grateful. Highly recommended and I will for sure use Jenna again in the future.
Rachel did a fantastic job caring for our senior dog (& house!) while we were out of town. She was super responsive during booking, sent us plenty of updates while we were away, and we came home to a happy pup and super clean house. We will definitely book with her again!

Craig and Chelsea are the best. They are great with our four dogs, including our especially needy Italian Greyhound. They are super organized and excel at communication. When my husband’s flight was delayed they went the extra mile to make sure our dogs were cared for. Thank you Craig and Chelsea!

Excellent job! All my babies were happy to see me, but I could tell they were enjoying Ryan. I forgot to add my 4th baby but I will rectify that asap! (as soon as I figure out how) Ryan was courteous, and very pleasant to talk to. It is easy to tell he is "good people". I will certainly reach out to you again, now that I have found a reliable sitter.
This sitter spent lots of time with our animals. She was very responsive and took great care of all of our animals. She was able to get all of our animals to chill with her and even took to the time to give our dogs lots of outside time. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brunswick walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brunswick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brunswick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brunswick. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
