“Ann is communicative and caring. She is a great human and has taken good care of our special needs pup”

“Sam was great with our dog Mia. She is very strong, likes to run and pull on walks and can be challenging when she sees a squirrel or another dog. She wants to chase and play. We were confident Sam could handle her and take good care of her. She enjoyed her walks and we will definitely be using him again in the future! He gave us updates daily with pictures, which made us feel even more comfortable being away. We highly recommend Sam!”

“Ben has been absolutely amazing with our dogs! He’s been working, most notably, with our most nervous dog Griswold. Typically Gris is very timid and is slow to trust new people. Ben came over for a meet and greet one evening and we got to know him and he got to meet Griswold and our other two dogs as well. Ben started walking Gris the next week and worked with Gris very patiently when he backed away and ran up our basement stairs. He knew not to corner him and bribed him with treats (this dog looooves to eat) and Ben never got frustrated, he totally understands our dogs needs and nuances. Im so grateful that we’ve found someone our dog can trust now. Ben is absolutely amazing and flexible with our schedule (he’s even dropping in on them Xmas eve!) I could not have asked for a better person to be in our dogs daily life and get Gris the exposure he so desperately needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you Ben!!!”

“Chris is amazing!!! He's incredibly nice and his wife also gave our pups the cutest handkerchiefs. Our dogs love Chris and we appreciate him greatly.”

About: I have taken care of pets for over 20 years. During my life I have cared for 5 different dogs and 8 different cats. I also grew up taking care of and raising hamsters, rats, degus (like small chinchillas), birds, and fish. We currently have a very large (110 lbs.) fur baby named Pablo. He is loved and taken care of with multiple walks a day and is on a complicated prescription medicine regimen. We also have two rescued formerly feral cats, Patches and Snickers. They enjoy hanging out in our basement and outside in our "catio." I am a public school teacher. I am looking to turn my love for animals into a part-time job. I have fairly flexible hours, especially in the summer, as long as I am not out of town. I am organized with a high attention to detail. Whatever instructions or requirements your pet may have, I am confident I can follow them precisely. We have used several sitters for our own pets and I really understand the importance of following a sitting and care plan for an animal.

About: I have been taking care of pets for friends, family, and neighbors for years. I also grew up always having dogs and cats. I am open to helping with any needs as well as training. I currently work full time and my schedule is typically M-F 9-5. I am looking to fill my free time before and after work, as well as on weekends. As most of my services will be outside of my own home, I will ensure to be respectful of your space. If any of my services do require me to be in your home for more than a few minutes I will be respectful of your space and leave it the way it was left. I will ensure to put all pet materials in the same place I found them.

“Emily is the best! Easy to communicate with and flexible with schedule changes. Our dog is excited to see her . We are thankful we found Emily on Rover!”

“Kay has been wonderful with our 3 rambunctious dogs. We have 2-90lb dogs and 1-50lb dog she has been taking care of. She always sends me updates and pictures and GPS of the walks she takes. I love that our most shy dog took to her immediately and she was very good with taking special care with him. Would definitely recommend Kay if you are looking for someone who will take care of your pets just like you would. 10/10”

“Came to our house for the meet and greet, and was perfect for our day trip to NYC. While we were gone Maggie got over a mile walk, and it gave her a nice break during the day.”

About: I have been around all types of dogs my whole life, and I have learned how to care for each one’s specific needs and wants. After work, I have free time in the evenings to walk dogs. I even get up very early, so that mornings would work as well. I am very attentive and alert as to what your dog is doing and needs during our walk. He/she will always be my main focus.

“Dan and Stephanie are absolutely the best! Our dogs are so happy when they come to walk them. I'm thankful I get pictures and videos of their visits. They have been extremely reliable and flexible with our dogs needs. Thanks!!”

“Rachel was amazing with our pups. She went above and beyond to make sure they were OK while we were traveling. She was very communicative and trustworthy!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs cats and rodents since seventh grade. My first period frequent pet sitting job was a pitbull name bonsai for over a year until I had to move. Love all animals all sizes. I can walk big dogs just fine! I also had a pet bunny before so I know how to care for one. I have plenty of time while doing online school. Love to walk/play with cats/dogs/rodents. I can during Wed-Sun every week. This is a good schedule for college. I have a pet cat at my place with me and I feed her twice a day and sometimes give her treats. I play with her every single day and I also give her baths because she enjoys them at least once a week. I am also willing to wash an animal if needed.

“Lexi is wonderful with my Baxter, he took to her right away and has been excited to see her. He is not always a good boy with me walking but he is with her. She is confident with him which is great.”

“Ashley has been walking our Great Dane, Miles, regularly for a few weeks now and he just LOVES her. She is very attentive to his needs and has been so helpful in getting him accustomed to a new routine while we are at work. She is also great at communicating/updating us with each visit and sends lots of pictures which we really appreciate. We are so thankful and happy to have found Ashley (and so is Miles).🤍”

“Samantha was excellent with our dog Gunner. Arrived each morning exactly on time, provided updates and plenty of photos. Highly recommended!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for pets with unique needs, having raised a highly reactive dog who couldn’t be around people or other animals. This experience taught me how to handle even the most challenging dogs with patience and care. I’ve worked closely with trainers, gaining expertise in force-free and LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) methods, ensuring every interaction is kind and compassionate. I’ve also cared for elderly dogs and understand the importance of tailoring care to their specific needs. After dedicating my life to my own dog, who has since passed away, I’m passionate about helping other pet parents by providing the same level of love, understanding, and commitment. Right now I work from home, but three days a week I also go into my field placement. So, I have most flexible availability on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I no longer have a dog, so my home is dog and cat free. I have a fenced in yard, so there is room for your pups to play! When I first adopted my dog we lived in a small apartment. With a reactive dog, that is HARD! So, I know how to make the most of any space! I’m very active and love to hike and play!

About: I am a lifelong pet owner, having cared for all types of pets. I love animals and will treat your family pets like I treat my own. You will have peace-of-mind that your pets are reliably well-cared-for while you are away from home. I recently took an early retirement and now have time on my hands to take care of your pets on your timeline! I am attentive, prompt, and reliable. I respect your rights as a pet-parent and will take care of your pets in whatever way we agree to. Special needs/wishes are not a problem! I can send pictures, videos, notes, etc. if you desire.

About: Your furry friends deserve the best— let me spoil them with walks, love, and playtime while you’re away! Happy to chat about your pet needing care. Working a full time hybrid position has given me the luxury of squeezing in a daily walk, playtime, and adventures with my fur babies so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re needing some extra help! Will always keep your pet on a leash while walking, unless in an enclosed area. Can't wait to play fetch and take your fur babe for a walk!
