I’ve been a cat mama and a doggy mama but currently just have my two littles but we have lots of extra TLC (and energy if needed) to give special visitors! I work in the ECE Field full time from my home in the south hills and have a beautiful park in our neighborhood that is dog friendly! Any special requests just let me know and I’d most likely to be happy accommodate for your baby! I’m very flexible working from home and lover of all animals so I’m willing to tend to your needs! We have a 4 bedroom home with yard and park nearby and most of our time is spent enjoying home! I try to make it feel like home away from home- make each pet feel safe, cozy, and happy! Every pet is different and we adjust yo their needs!
About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. I promise that your dogs will be treated very well and that they will truly enjoy their “vacation” at my home. It’s difficult to leave your “loved ones” in the care of others and I know that feeling. Rest assured that they will be cared for and spoiled to the best of my ability! I am a behavioral therapist who works with children and families. I have a hybrid job which means that I work from home doing Telehealth services and I also see clients in person at times. I am home for most of the day and this worked perfectly when I cared for my late dog, Arwen. I do not have any pets currently. I have an elevated deck that is only accessible from the house. It is surrounded and my dog loved to spend time out there basking in the sun. I have a yard but it is not fenced in. My neighborhood is quiet and very dog friendly.
“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Tia was a great puppy sitter for our Monty! She updated us throughout the day with videos. Monty was playful and happy. She took great care of our fur baby! Would definitely recommend her.”

“Great experience! Will definitely be requesting another booking. Oliver came home tired which means he had a great day. Lots of pictures throughout the day which eased my anxiety a ton!!”

About: I’m back!! I pet sat when I lived in Orlando and then took a break. I am now in Pittsburgh and ready to welcome some new friends. I work from home full-time, in a single-family home with a fenced in yard. I have made a habit of rescuing animals (especially senior animals) and my pack would love some playmates.Whether it is joining in couch cuddles or afternoon zoomies, your little one will feel like part of the family. I have a lot of experience with a lot of different breeds. Including a few years of kennel experience as well as 30 years of personal experience. I have experience with senior animals as well as special needs animals, including blind, deaf, mobility issues, and incontinent. With those things comes a lot of experience in medication as well. Myself and my crew are excited to meet you and your fur babies. I work from home fulltime and a big home body. The most I leave is if I’m grocery shopping or grabbing dinner in the evening. I have a fully fenced in yard. Any boarding pups will sleep in my second bedroom in an appropriate sized crate/playpen. This is the area they would eat their meals as well.
About: I can be with your dog almost 24/7 because I work from home. We have a fenced in yard. I have trained 2 adult dogs to do multiple tricks, not take food, not run, and be good with children. Along with 10 plus years of things I have forgotten. I have experience with puppies and would prefer not to watch them. (negotiable) I have twins, and I think two human babies are easier than one puppy. I work from home, have a flexible schedule, a fenced in yard, and live in a suburban neighborhood where I can safely walk your dog/s. We have been dog owners for 15 years until our last baby passed in January at the age of 14. We have 10-year-old twins who love dogs and would love to play with yours, so your dog must be friendly with children. They are responsible enough to not bother your dog if it doesn't want to be bothered with though. I will have your pet with me on a pet bed, couch, or floor near me all day while I work from home. I can let them roam around the fenced in back yard as long as they would like. I am able to take them for walks at lunch and any time after 4:30 pm. We have 10 year old twins who love animals and would enjoy giving your fur baby extra attention. They are also responsible enough to not bother your dog if it doesn't want to be bothered with though.
“Laura and her son Jesse were the best with my puppy. She sent me pictures throughout the day to keep me updated and I could tell that they both gave him lots of love and attention. I felt very much at ease leaving my puppy with them while I worked. 1000 percent recommend!”

“Janet is an amazing dog care provider!! She genuinely love my dog like her own, and is very affectionate and attentive to him. She has been very flexible and accommodating when my schedule changes, and always has a positive disposition. She has proven 100% reliable and I am so grateful my dog and I have had the pleasure of getting to know her and her family.”

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong animal lover based in the Pittsburgh area. I understand that pets are family, and when you leave them with someone else you want the same care, attention, and safety you’d give them yourself. I spent 13 years with my sweet mini poodle mix Theo, who taught me how much love and personality can live in one small dog. Because of him, I’m especially attentive to each pet’s unique quirks, routines, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, couch snuggles, or a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most at home. I’m dependable, communicative, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet will be treated with the same patience, kindness, and care I would want for my own. I currently work from home and have complete flexibility with my job to ensure your pet gets as much attention, walks, and love throughout the day as they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide a calm environment, and ensure they are always supervised, secure, and well cared for. I will always send you updates and let you know what we are up to on our days together.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Broughton
Beth is the perfect solution for my rescue pup that suffers from separation anxiety. I tried boarding her at a doggy daycare facility, but it increased her stress level. I needed a new solution and found Beth. She gives my dog the one on one attention she craves! The benefit of being in a home with a large backyard is a huge bonus! Now, my dog is happy and getting the attention and affection that greatly relieves her separation anxiety.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Broughton
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 691 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Broughton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Broughton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 691 sitters in Broughton, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
