About: I am a musician, property manager, & ex-software dev who enjoys taking care of animals. One of my favorite experiences was caring for a small farm (dogs, cats, horses, and chickens!) in Kentucky. I love taking dogs on walks around town & to explore the river! I am committed to consistent and clear communication; I place a high value on the professional relationship between house-sitter and host. I love sending daily updates as requested. I don't work during the day, so I can accommodate feedings, med delivery, walks, and playtime all day long! I try to structure my day around the client's schedule, so that the animals don't experience a disruption in their normal routine. I love doing overnight sits for pets in the environment they are most comfortable in — their own home. I find it easy to adapt to a pet’s schedule and routine and I love exploring new places around town via walks!

About: I’ve had cats and dogs in my house and care for as long as I can remember. I started officially pet sitting when I was 15 and feel especially comfortable with cats, beagles, golden retrievers, & german shepherds, although I truly love every pet! Familiar and comfortable with walking, feeding, grooming, & helping with pet medications! I am currently a third year law student at Richmond Law! I can care for your pets before my first classes at 10am, midday or early afternoon depending on classes, and any evening after 5! I appreciate detailed directions because I like to follow them to a tee. I try my best to help pets keep the same routine so as not to have to get used to anything new besides me.

About: I’m new to Rover sitting so I don’t have many reviews yet, but I’m no stranger to petsitting. I’ve owned and cared for furry (scaled and feathered!) friends my whole life. From cats and dogs, to guinea pigs and bunnies, to fish and birds. I even have experience caring for sugar gliders and a ball python. I’ve worked as a pet uber (with a company called Leash) and volunteered at shelters, socializing events, and cat rescues for several years, so I’m used to all kinds of pet personalities. From shy snugglers, to loyal guardians, to spunky characters, to goofy adventurers, I love them all! You can trust I will love on your baby and treat them with as much care as I do my own fur babies. I am currently an online psychology masters student finishing my thesis and a substitute teacher. Since my recent medical retirement from the military, my schedule’s become more flexible, which means more walks, belly rubs, and playtime for your pets! I am more than willing to do virtual and in person meet and greets to learn pet needs and routines. I will also accept any additional written/typed outlines detailing your pets care. You name it and I’ll do it; whatever is best for you and your fur baby. Dogs under my care will enjoy long walks and dog parks trips where applicable. If you have a puppy (or dog) in training, I love to partner in their learning using whatever commands you prefer. Kitties under my care will get lots of playtime with wands and lasers, as well as tons of snuggles.

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for my own pets, other people's pets, and adoptable rescues, I bring a rare blend of compassion, professionalism, and animal knowledge to every visit. My background spans working at an animal shelter and volunteering at rescues, working at a veterinary hospital in boarding, and being nationally certified in pet massage—which means I know how to handle pets with patience and care. My dog passed away from age and cancer in September of 2025, and being able to care for and spend time with other pets is really enjoyable for me. I really will treat them like my own! Additionally, I've worked with dogs, cats, and bunnies of all temperaments—shy, senior, energetic, or special-needs—and I always adjust my approach to suit each pet's personality. My background helps me recognize stress or discomfort quickly, and I’m often told I have a calming presence animals naturally respond to. Whether your pet needs an energetic jog, a mostly sniffing walk, a slow and steady check-in, or just someone to sit with them while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family—with gentle hands, a big heart, and lots of tail wags. If you have any questions, please ask! I'm happy to answer! Monday through Thursday I'm available from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fridays vary based on my schedule provided by my full-time job. I may also be available after 2:00 during the week if I was scheduled to be off by my full-time job. I will be treating your pets as my own. I only use positive reinforcement. Safety is my number one priority. I do not let dogs meet other dogs on walks. I will also be following all guidelines and requests you have given.

About: I’m Lilly- a Virginia Beach native and UVA graduate! I used to do more sitting and walking in college and when I first moved to Richmond in 2021 but stopped to work full now. Now that I am part time again I have a lot of free time to get back into it. I’m a lover of animals, music, and the outdoors. I’ve grown up always having cats, dogs, and even a parrot so I have lots of experience taking care of pets! I am reliable and responsible but unfortunately don’t have any of my own pets so I love meeting new cats and dogs. I also have my own car so transportation will not be a problem. “Sydney was amazing with my sweet dog PJ. I came to Richmond from out of town for a few days and was grateful to coordinate several dog walks with Sydney. PJ is not a city dog, so I was a little hesitant on how best to handle downtown Richmond. Sydney knows the area well as a VCU student, and she was able to find green space and waterfront walks for PJ. She also did well to secure arrangements with me on short notice. I work from home MWF and off on the weekends , so your dog will have company, attention, and supervision throughout the day. My husband and I are active and love going on walks, exploring parks, and enjoying outdoor adventures. Perfect opportunities for your pup to join in on the fun. Whether it’s morning playtime, mid-day potty breaks, or evening strolls, we make sure pets are engaged, exercised, and happy. Of course, we also love cozy downtime, so there’s always space for blanket cuddles and belly rubs. In your home, we stick to all your guidelines and expectations, making sure everything stays secure and exactly as we found it. At our house, we ask that pups are potty trained since we have carpet upstairs, but don’t worry, I work from home, so your dog can enjoy frequent trips to our fenced backyard for playtime, potty breaks, or fresh-air fun. About: My parents have two dogs back home. We got my sweet baby Velcro at 8 weeks (shes on the left in my picture), and I raised her as if she was my first child. We got her over COVID and we were inseparable. Now I am in school getting my doctorate and I am waiting until after I graduate to finally get my own dog. While in school, I have been the go-to dog watcher for 3 of my friends dogs. I look forward to them going on vacation so I can live out my dreams as a dog owner for a weekend. Then I figured, why not open up my dog watching services to other people! So that is why I am here on rover, not only to hang out with as many dogs as possible in my free time, but the added bonus of paying off some school debt and saving up for my future dog. I will give every dog I meet all the love I have, so thank you for trusting me with your doggos!!! I am currently a full-time student, but I have time in the afternoons on Mondays and the evenings Tues-Thurs to stop in for a walk. I have most Fridays off and plan to stay in Richmond a lot, so I am available to either watch dogs in your home or in my apartment on the weekends. I currently live in an apartment on the 4th floor with 3 other dog-loving roommates, but I have watched dogs here many times and I’ve never had an issue. If I go to the store or something where the dog cant come with, I normally will close the dog in my room with water and food and sometimes I leave the TV on some dog cartoons or music if they like it. I don’t normally leave much on the weekends if the dog comes to stay with me, I’ll normally spend the day studying with the pups with me and go for long walks when we both need a break.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals since I was a child and have always loved it! I am unable to have a pet at this time, so spending time with other people’s pets brings me so much joy. I’m hoping to play a part in keeping your pets active, along with myself! I currently work Thursday through Sunday, with some flexibility, depending on the week. I’m available to walk your pups in the morning on any weekday and later in the day Monday through Wednesday I currently cannot have any pets in my home, but am definitely looking to walk the pups through whatever neighborhood you live in.
