Jonathan is a very thoughtful, caring and patient dog walker. Our dog struggles with separation anxiety and we were expecting that she would have a hard time adapting when one of us started working full time. But, Jonathan is making this transition so much easier by being very attentive to our dog’s needs and providing us with very useful information about how she is doing on their walks. We strongly recommend him.

About: Ive been caring for animals my entire life, my home has always been filled with cats and dogs. Whether it’s our pet, pet sitting, or fostering I have been taught how to care for animals in the best possible way. I’ve cared for multiple puppies and a senior so I am well versed in both sides of the spectrum! As a pet owner myself, I am knowledgeable and experienced with dogs with different anxieties and fearfulness. I will be able to accommodate and ensure that your pet is as comfortable as possible on our walk. With different levels of energy I am also able to run with a high energy dog if they love running! Whatever preferences your dog has I will try my hardest to provide! I am a college student home for the summer and am working part time. I am very flexible to be able to take care of your pets at any time of day! I will make sure your dog has the best experience with finding clear/safe walking routes for us to explore. My priority is to make sure our walks are the highlight of your dogs day!

About: I am attentive, patient, kind, and empathetic toward all animals. I’ve spent my whole life around pets, grew up with four huskies, and have always wanted more pets in my life. I currently have two cats, a senior named Gatsby and a kitten named Pippin. I look forward to meeting and caring for your pets! I work from home full time and set my own schedule, so I can be flexible with timing of walks and drop in home visits. I have a car and easy access to all forms of transportation. I can visit your home and stick to your and your pets’ routines, or pop by in the middle of the day for walks and trips to the dog park.

About: I grew up a family that is never complete without a four legged sibling. I learned to care for our dogs early on, and was raised to walk, clean, medicate, feed, and train just like I was raised to make my bed as a part of my routine. During weekdays I work as a daycare teacher, and I check on my pets before and after! On the weekends, I come by morning, afternoon and evening to make sure that they are enjoying their weekend as much as I am I always check water and food after greeting your pet, and administer medication as needed. For cats, I’ll check the litter box, and for dogs I’ll take them for a walk. Afterwards, I make sure to spend some quality time playing with them!

About: Hello! I'm a lifelong animal lover who has been both a dog and cat owner for more than 20 years. Caring for pets has always been a meaningful part of my life, and I understand how important it is to know your furry family members are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I currently do not have any pets of my own, which gives me the flexibility to help other pet owners enjoy their summer travels with peace of mind. I especially believe that pets are often happiest when they can remain in their own familiar environment. Staying in their own home helps reduce stress and allows them to maintain their normal routines, providing a greater sense of comfort and ease. I am dependable, timely, and clean, and I take pride in treating both your pets and your home with the utmost respect. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I will provide attentive, personalized care tailored to their needs. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and helping make your time away as worry-free as possible. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to accommodate your pet's specific needs and routine. Whether it's daily walks, feeding schedules, medication reminders, playtime, or check-ins at particular times of day, I will do my best to work around the schedule that keeps your pet comfortable and happy. I understand that consistency is important for pets, and I am committed to maintaining their normal routine while you're away. Simply let me know your preferences and your pet's needs, and I will be happy to accommodate them. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. I enjoy caring for pets in their own homes because it allows them to remain in a familiar environment with their established routines. I believe this minimizes stress and disruption, helping pets feel more comfortable, secure, and relaxed while their owners are away. Building trust with both pets and their owners is very important to me. I take the time to learn your pet's habits, preferences, and daily schedule so I can provide care that is consistent with what they are used to. Whether it's feeding times, walks, playtime, medication, or special instructions, I am committed to maintaining the level of care and attention you provide for your animal every day. I also understand the responsibility that comes with caring for your home and your pets. You can count on me to be dependable, respectful, attentive, and communicative throughout my time with your furry family members.

About: My entire life I have grown up with pets, dogs cats bunnies guinea pigs lizards birds, you name it we had it! Good pet care to me includes knowing their needs way ahead of time . In my time around animals, I have yet to meet one that doesn’t like me, whether it’s a energetic puppy or a lazy house cat. I’m extremely responsible and trustworthy, in addition to being creative at a moments notice. Taking care of animals means you must be ready for whatever may happen, and patience is a key. These are all qualities I possess! To me, being a people person means you also are a pet person. You and your beloved pets will be happy, healthy and safe with me! I’m currently working part time as a yoga teacher, so I have lots of time to take care of your pet kiddos! Whether it’s a walk around the park, some quality play time at home, or meal support, I am open to it all. Meeting a new animal is all about establishing safety and trust with them first, to show them I am a safe human that’s here to love and care for them too. Once they feel safe, we can get to the fun stuff of play time and walks!

About: Welcome! I go by “Nancy!” 🐾🐈🦮 I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have had pets for over 25 years. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life, not just a hobby. Over the years I’ve had different kinds of pets, and I currently have two budgies and a betta fish. I enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and earning their trust at their own pace. I’m naturally attentive and tend to notice when something seems off or when a pet needs a little extra patience and care. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I would care for yours the same way I care for my own. Animals have always been a part of my life. I’m currently a student chaplain, a full-time mom to two girls, and a pet mom to two budgies and a betta fish. Caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and in my free time, I’d love the opportunity to spend time with and care for other pets. While I’m new to this platform offering dog walking services, I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. 🐾 I treat every pet as if they were my own. I focus on safe, enjoyable walks, follow the owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they need. I also provide updates so owners know how their pet is doing.

I highly recommend him, and will defintely ask him to take care of my pup next time I travel.

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
