About: Hello pet parents! I'm Tori and I have been providing pet care since I was a young girl. I have always felt a connection with animals and it brings me absolute joy to take care of them. There has never been a time in my life where I did not have a pet of my own, so I know how precious they are and how they become a part of your family. I have three years of housesitting experience under my belt. Between a cozy home with two young cats to a full house of two dogs and 12 cats, I have quite a bit of experience in this service. I made sure to feed, water, let the pets out for potty breaks, change litter boxes and take the dogs on walks. I am also more than happy to gather mail, newspapers and packages during my stay. I do believe it is important to provide pets with companionship while their beloved humans are away. Plus it's also nice to have cuddles from some furry friends! I have also been providing drop-in visits since I was a little girl. I first started out watching my neighbor's giant cats and going over two times a day to feed them and give medication to one of the hefty felines. I've also had the opportunity to care for three dogs, one being a senior canine with health issues. I had to administer his medication three times a day and give him eyedrops for his bad eye. I also had a recurring job where I took care of two gentle giants. I had to let the English Mastiffs out for a potty break three times a day, feed once, change their water (because of the drool!), and gathered the family's mail for them. I am currently looking for a new job but in the meantime, I am looking forward to spending time with some new furry friends. I should be available most weekdays and varying weekends. When taking care of the pet at the client's home, I take extra care in making sure that windows and doors are properly secured when I come and go. I also make sure to do a walk through (where I am permitted) to double check if there were any messes made by the pet, both for their safety and to maintain the integrity of the home.

Most importantly, I am an animal advocate! I have had many animals growing up such as: birds, amphibians, chickens, rabbits, and dogs. Recently, I fostered a kitten that I rescued from the streets for 2 weeks until I was able to find him his forever home through the animal shelter I work at. My approach to caring for pets in my client’s home is flexible and tailored to their specific needs. I ensure to follow any special instructions or routines provided by the pet owner. For dogs, I incorporate fun, light training sessions and ensure they get the necessary walks while adhering to their schedule. I always keep treats handy for redirection if needed.
