“I'm a first time Rover user so I was new to the process and a little apprehensive, but I had nothing to be concerned about- Autumn was amazing! We had a meet and greet with her before our trip and she immediately made us comfortable about leaving the care of our kitties to her. It's clear she loves animals and our two 9 year old kitties loved her visits while we were out of town. She took great care of them and was extremely communicative with us the entire time. I will definitely request her services again in the future!!”

“Zoe did a wonderful job watching after our shy kitty and even got her to come out of her hidey hole for some pets! Will definitely be booking her again for our next trip. Highly recommend.”

“Liz is fantastic. She did a great job taking care of my 2 boys (cats). I love how accommodating she was when I had to keep changing the original dates I had originally booked. Thank you, Liz!”

“Emily was great! We were leaving town for 8 days and had logistical issues. Emily worked with us and took wonderful care of our kitty, who has vision issues. Will definitely book with Emily again!”

“Camille was very sweet and caring to my cat! She really cared about the specific routine we have and sticking to the instructions and tips I left. She left detailed notes through the app and lots of adorable pictures. It was good to know my cat was comfortable with her and enjoyed having someone there to care for her while I was gone.”

“Paulina is fantastic!!! She watched our chickens who are high maintenance gals and she took amazing care of them! She was also able to help water our garden which is so much appreciated. She also cared with our cat Frida who very much enjoyed her company! Thanks Paulina!”

“I hired Natalie for seven visits to attend to my cat while I was gone for a long weekend. She was on time for each visits and sent me photographs of my cat Grey Cloud when she completed a half hour with him. He was fed and his litter box scooped as I instructed. This was my first time hiring a pet sitter and it was well worth it.”

“Katie is an outstanding person to have come visit your furry ones! She was very flexible, understanding, and a great presence for our cat when we were away! Would strongly recommend anyone to trust her to take care of your loved ones! Thanks again, Katie!”

“Just prior to leaving on our trip, one of our kitties had to get a couple staples to close up a wound. Maddy provided above-and-beyond care for our ailing cat which allowed us to enjoy are vacation without worrying to much.”

“Flannery was great with our three cats! She was prompt and consistent with check-ins on her twice/day drop in visits for our two camping trips this summer. She set up a helpful routine with our asthmatic cat who needs daily medication that made it a less stressful experience, and went above and beyond providing play, cuddles, and keeping us well-informed with a detailed description and many great photos at every check-in. Our cats are our babies so we don't like leaving them, but we felt we could breathe easily leaving them in Flannery's capable hands. Will definitely hire again for future pet-sitting needs!”

“Menisha was so kind and sweet. She checked in on our little guy while we were away, felt good to know that someone who loves animals was taking care of him. Thank you!”

“Aiden was great with my cat! He was communicative and sent detailed report cards with several photos for each visit. He was patient with my cat getting over her shyness and she seemed to really warm up to him.”

About: I have experience in vet med, so I will be able to keep a detail-oriented eye on your pet's health and wellbeing. If it comes to it, I can take your beloved companion to the vet clinic while you're out of town and see to any at-home care they need, no problem. I currently make my income entirely through app-based freelance work, making it easy to interweave schedules. I can check in on your pet, go out and work for 2-3 hours, then come back again. ADHD tendencies serve me well in this situation-- I can focus on a show, a book, or working on my laptop, while still being peripherally aware of what your pet is doing, and taking time to check in and give lots of scritches and belly-rubs. I live in a shared housing situation, so I have plenty of experience leaving an environment that is not my own exactly as I found it.

About: I began volunteering at my city's animal shelter at the age of thirteen, dog walking, and I quickly began taking on more responsibilities at the shelter from there. By the time I was fifteen, I was volunteering in vet services, helping with adoption events, and doing critter care, where I socialized and took care of small animals like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and mice. During my time as a volunteer, I began a veterinary assisting program. I spent five days a week providing care to dogs, cats, horses, and rodents while learning proper medical procedures. Within that care, I attentively followed tailored feeding and kenneling instructions meant to keep the animals safe and healthy. Through my time at my tech school, I gained my OSHA 10 healthcare-focused certification, my HIV, Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and I graduated with my veterinary assisting certification. After graduating, I began working at my city's animal shelter as a Student Day Laborer and Veterinary Assistant, as well as pet sitting for people living in and around my city. At the animal shelter, I handled dogs with various behavioral challenges, including nipping, jumping, barking, pulling, lunging, and multiple kinds of reactivity. I maintained a clean and tidy environment by cleaning up many kinds of bodily fluids and parasites to ensure the comfort and health of the animals. During my time there, I fostered several dogs from the euthanasia list to provide them with proper enrichment and training to make them less frustrated and more adoptable. I have experience providing medical care and enrichment to puppies as young as three weeks old and senior dogs. I am a college student, but I am currently on summer break, so I am available every day except for Thursdays and Fridays. I am very flexible with my schedule when it comes to work and am willing to work with people on timing. I am capable of providing medical care and following specific feeding instructions that have been provided to me by the owner. I provide appropriate enrichment and exercise for different age ranges and breeds.

“Anna was terrific. I had just moved to a new town, where I didn't know anybody, a few days before when I had to leave suddenly for a family emergency. I needed to be gone for at least a week. My cats hadn't even had time to adjust after the move. Anna accepted a last minute request, and remained flexible as plans changed in the unsettled situation I faced. Her updates were thorough, and a break from the stressful situation I faced. My cats grew to love her, and I returned to three very happy and well adjusted cats.”

About: I've been helping take care of the animals of neighbors and friends since I was about 9. Since starting my pet sitting journey, I have had the opportunity to care for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and other small household critters. I am an education student beginning my student teaching year, so I'm free on afternoons after 3pm on weekdays to care for pets. The latest I would come to walk a dog would be 7:30 pm, and the latest I would come to do a house visit with a cat or dog would be 8:45 pm. Home Visits: Each home visit would last at minimum 1/2 an hour but not exceeding 1.5 hours. When doing a home visit, I would be happy to feed/water your animal, take it to the appropriate outdoor spot to use the restroom, and snuggle with/play with it as it appropriate for its disposition and intelligence. In the case of an indoor cat, I would also be willing to empty a litter box, upon request. Walks: For dog walks, I am happy to take your dog on a walk lasting up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. I will clean up any solid waste they make on the walk using a tiny plastic bag and dispose of it by placing it in a trash can. I would pick your dog up from your house and then deliver them back when we were finished.

“Marielle took such good care of our dog while we were out of town. He always looked so happy in the pictures. He is a little extra crazy being a 1yr old 80 pound puppy. So we are just grateful she could handle that crazy for us. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

Jön O.
“Jön has always been a lover of animals and a responsible caretaker for them. From a young age he took responsibility for training and caring for our family's dog. As an adult, I've trusted him to care for my cats many times, and he has gone above and beyond to feed, groom, and play with them while I'm away. If my cats could type, they would share that they're always thrilled to see him and would recommend his services to any animal in need.”

Chicory B.
“Chicory is a deeply caring and responsible individual who has loved and interacted with pets and animals in a uniquely tender way every time she has been given the opportunity. I have seen her care for a fish- cleaning the tank, feeding it, ext— with the same attention and respect that she cares for the cats she looked after at the humane society, the ducks she’s pet sitted, and with so many other kind of animals. It’s clear every time she is given the responsibility of a life, no matter how small, she will make sure that it is valued and cared for to the very best of her ability.”
