“Allison is a wonderful cat sitter! I booked Allison for 9 days of drop-in visits to keep my cats food, water, and litter refreshed but she went above and beyond! 1. Expect great photos of your cats. Every day I looked forward to seeing cute pictures of my cats. 2. Allison truly loves cats and understands cat social behavior. During her orientation visit, Allison was clearly very observant of our cats' boundaries and allowed them to make the first contact. By the time she left the orientation, they were sleeping on the floor/couch without a care in the world. Missing parents is already a stress for cats. Given this, introducing a stranger to your home is a tough decision to make but I could already tell I had nothing to worry about and that showed in her updates and especially the photos shared. 3. Allison will keep your cats stimulated! Our cats are very human-oriented and get very antsy when they're parents are out of town. Allison takes time during her drop-in visits to play with them and give them the affection they crave. 4. Allison makes sure you come home to a place exactly as you left it. She took the trash out when it needed. She kept the floor around the litterbox clean from litter. Before now, I've never left home for such a period and come back to a place so clean! Some notes specific to this particular booking: We had a power outage for 4 (or 5?) consecutive days while we were away. Allison made an extra drop-in to check on the cats after the storm because she sensed our power was likely out. She cracked some windows and paid close attention to the cats' comfort throughout the power outage. This was a complete curveball and I'm so glad I chose Allison for this booking. When she says "Pets = unconditional love!" she means it! Everything Allison does in service of your pets. I would re-book based on my previous notes alone, but she handled this power outage so well it's not even a question!”

About: I've had 2 shih tzus (who recently both passed away at almost 16 years old), so I love small dogs (and any and all sweet pups!) I also have a calico cat, who is very sweet. Any pet who stays with us should be cat-tolerant, and also they should be OK with kids. I also have 2 kids (a 7 year old and toddler) who love animals. Please, no aggressive animals, as we do not have experience. House trained pets, please. I work from home, and I am almost always home, except for errands, to take my kids to extra circular classes. We are never out of the house for more than a few hours at a time. I have a fenced backyard, but there are steps to go down it. Pets can roam freely at the house. We can also crate your pet if they are more comfortable sleeping in the crate. But they are free to jump on couches, beds, and furniture. We have baby gates to keep pets out of unsafe areas.
About: Growing up, there was never a time when there wasn’t a dog in the house, and I have been a cat mom for going on five years, so I am very understanding of the care that comes with each animal. Additionally, I have experience with puppies/kittens all the way to senior pets and know that each require personalized care (and I have no problem giving it). As an added bonus, I live with my partner, who also is a dog dad and everyday he gives his dog daily vitamins to stay happy and healthy. Plus he used to work at a wild life rehabilitation center, so he is very familiar with how to care for all animals, regardless of species, age or health. I work a hybrid schedule and currently have every other Friday off so I have plenty of time to care for your best friend. My work also allows employees to bring their dogs to work, if it’s something you’re comfortable with, I would love to show off your doggo! I am available for drop off/pickup anytime on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays. Plus my partner is a graduate student, so he comes home throughout the day to care for his own dog. I have a fenced in yard, so there are no worries when it comes to potty or play. Plus, I live with a very playful dog who can’t wait to spend time with your doggo! I also have a cat who is very tolerant of dogs (she probably won’t play, but doesn’t mind their presence). She is also very comfortable around other cats, she’s a tad shy so another playmate will probably do her some good!

About: I've been hanging out with animals all my life; taking care of others' animal babies for close to a decade. No mess is too gnarly; I've popped pills and dispensed hairball meds. Love a long neighborhood walk or a long snuggle. Let me help take care of your fur babies! I do not have pets of my own; I much prefer being the fun pet aunt! I have siblings and close friends with dogs and cats, who I've spent a lot of time with and pet sit often. I'm flexible! Not having my own pets also means I have plenty of time and energy to spend with yours. I work full time M-F, but most weeks I work from home 3 days a week, and that can be your home with your fur baby. Whether I'm popping in for a walk or a potty break or spending several nights with your fur baby, they will be my priority. I love a long neighborhood walk, snuggles, and will take the time to play. Let me know if your pet has any special needs or routine, and I will be sure to keep things consistent. About: I have taken care of animals since I was little. I have had dogs my entire life and have lived with several cats. I have had experience with dogs and cats of all ages and welcome the chance to meet any and all animals. I work a hybrid schedule which will allow me to spend my time with your pets on the days that I’m not in the office! I don’t currently own any animals so your pet will be the priority. My apartment is pet friendly, but does have stairs, so pets with ambulatory issues may not do well there.

About: Hello! I have previously built a small dog sitting clientele in the city of Columbia between the years of 2017-2019. In 2019 I moved to STL and worked through Rover for about two more years until I got a full time job. Currently dipping my toes back into pet care! Although I am in St. Louis I am willing to travel to areas including, but not limited to; St. Charles, Wentzville, O'Fallon, etc. My set days off are Sunday and Monday. I do still currently have a fulltime job, so for the time being I will only be able to do drop in visits and walks. I am comfortable working with either dogs or cats. I have a 4 year old orange cat that I rescued at just 2 weeks old, so I have experience working with very small kittens as well. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I work about 30 hours a week, but will not let this effect how I care for your pet! My days off are always Sunday and Monday, and I am available at anytime either of those days, as well as most evenings and certain mornings. I unfortunately cannot offer services in my own home, but I am more than willing to provide pet watching in the clients home. I am able to do drop in visits, feedings, hair brushes, playtime, walks or whatever your pet needs while you're at work or just out for the day.
About: I have been working in the animal field for 16 years. I also have experience administering medications of all types. I do try to keep to the animal's schedule as best as possible. I'm currently between jobs so I am able to keep your animals active. Once I'm employed again, I'll be able to fit your animal's needs before and after working hours. I prefer keeping your animals in their own home as it is less stressful for them. I keep as close to their schedule as I can on a daily basis.

Allison was wonderful with our two cats! Our request was a big time commitment on short notice and she enthusiastically delivered, arriving on time twice a day all week to provide care and enrichment. We went on vacation for two weeks. Elizabeth took incredible care of our high energy dog. She was very consistent with let outs, food/water and walks with impeccable communication through the app and texts. We didn't have to worry at all about our family dog which allowed us to really enjoy our vacation without worries. She even went above and beyond and took care of some things around the house that needed to be addressed. Very professional and knowledgeable about dogs and animals. Would highly recommend.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
