That's exactly how I treat every pet in my care -- with lots of love, attention, scratches, belly rubs, playtime, and cuddles! Your dog will also have plenty of opportunities to enjoy our fenced backyard throughout the day. I live with two other animal lovers, my mom and boyfriend, so there are always multiple people around to keep an eye on your pet, let them outside, and give them extra attention. We live just blocks from Carondelet Park, too, so dogs who enjoy longer walks will have the opportunity to explore the park and get some extra exercise and enrichment. Inside our home, they'll have room to enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs areas and find a comfortable spot to relax. My home office and “Grandma's” living quarters are upstairs, while my boyfriend and I share the downstairs living space. We also have a door that separates the two levels, which allows us to create a separate space for your dog when needed, whether for safety or just to give them some quiet time and a break from our own animals. When introducing a new dog to our pets, we take things gradually and don't expect everyone to become instant best friends. We allow them to get comfortable with each other's presence, supervise their interactions, and give them separate spaces whenever needed. Every dog has a different personality and comfort level, so we let their behavior guide the pace rather than forcing interaction. I always want pets in my care to have a safe, comfortable environment where they can relax and be themselves while their people are away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very little, however I just got into taking care of them professionally a year ago. I have provided medication, walks, potty breaks, play time, etc. I am currently looking for a long term job, and I am saving for a car so my availability depends on my mothers schedule. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I only recently, in the past couple of years, started taking care of other people’s pups, and I really enjoy it. I treat all pups as if they were my own. I am retired. I play pickleball quite a bit, but I am never gone more than a few hours at a time. My husband works from home, so there is almost always someone around to accompany your pup. My favorite part of the job is showering pups with love. We have mattresses on the floor and if the pups are willing, we love to snuggle with them. About: I've spent much of my life living with and caring for dogs--from growing up with dogs throughout childhood, to helping care for dogs as an adult, to having Spencer, my most recent dog. I'm comfortable following detailed feeding and medication instructions and am happy to care for senior dogs. I'm currently focusing on friendly, reliably housetrained adult small and medium dogs that I can comfortably handle on leash. I prefer a meet-and-greet before a first stay so that both the dog and I can ensure we're comfortable together. And I love sending photos and updates! Getting pictures of Spencer when I traveled always made me happy, so I'm delighted to do the same for you. I work from home Monday through Friday from 9am-6pm, so I’m home much of the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, and plenty of attention into my routine. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street with sidewalks and no through traffic, just ten houses from Sublette Park. I love walking the perimeter of the park, so dogs who enjoy walks will have plenty of opportunities to get out and "sniff the puppy newspaper." I’m happy to take dogs for several walks a day depending on their normal routine and energy level. I do leave the house for errands and activities, so dogs should be comfortable relaxing at home alone for a few hours at a time. I have a quiet, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, and I only host dogs from one household at a time. I have a large, fully fenced privacy backyard for supervised play and potty breaks, plus a dog door that can be closed and locked when needed. Dogs are welcome to relax on my large couch, which is always covered with waterproof pet blankets. At night, dogs can sleep in their own crate in my downstairs den, on the couch, or--if they’re well behaved without a crate--on a dog bed in my bedroom. I don’t provide a crate, so owners should bring one if their dog needs it. I prefer to meet new dogs before their first stay so I can learn their routine and make sure I can handle them comfortably and safely. I’m currently best suited for friendly, reliably housetrained adult dogs who aren’t strong pullers, destructive chewers, or determined escape artists.

About: I’ve always loved dogs, whether they were mine or those of friends. I’ve had dogs for many years, and they have been my best buddies! I adopted Stanley last September from Have a Heart Rescue. Stanley is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is only 17 pounds and full of energy and loads of love. He enjoys “walking” other dogs if he can get ahold of their leashes and loves to do zoomies in the yard and play tag with other dogs. As he is a small pup, I would prefer to only watch dogs up to 40 pounds and must be socialized with other dogs and people. As I am retired now, I would love to start dog sitting in my home and would be open to doggy daycare. I am rarely away from the house for more than two hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. Dogs have always been allowed on the chairs, sofas and on the bed. Who wants to sleep on the floor? I have been unofficially dog sitting for almost 40 years, and have recently started dog sitting for pay. I believe it is a good idea for the dogs and owners to have a meet-and-greet as it’s a great way to make sure we’re all a good fit and gives us the opportunity to meet and talk about our expectations. About: Hello STL pet parents! I am new to Rover but I've taken care of all ages, sizes, and various breeds of dogs since I was young, ranging from Chihuahuas to 110 lb Bouviers. My husband (former dog trainer) and I are the proud dog parents of two friendly rescue chihuahua mixes and we take them everywhere with us when we can and consider them to be our family. We have also had the privilege of caring for a rescue pittie who was skittish around other dogs at first, and a pug lab mix who never met a stranger. I nursed one of my current rescues through heartworm treatment after first adopting her and saw our pug lab mix through chemo when she was diagnosed with lymphoma. I take the care and love of dogs very seriously and believe we owe them the utmost respect. It would be my honor to apply that same philosophy of care and compassion (and fun!) with your beloved family member. I can be available any day of the week, though I prefer notice for weekends. Overall however I can be flexible! If the service is a walk I would prefer that to take place before 6:30 p.m. My yard is fenced in with a privacy fence and if I let dogs into the yard I am always out there with them the entire time. I have two small dogs who are friendly and enjoy gentle playing with others. I'm also comfortable visiting in your home or taking your doggo out on an adventure.
About: I have alot of expirience with animals and have had animals of all kinds . i am responsible and will make sure that your pet is safe and well taken care . Taking care of animals is something i enjoy. Your animal will be fed played with bathed whatever the owners requirements are those needs will be met . ive been looking for a job that i enjoy and am very happy that i found out about rover . I think this is is a perfect opportunity to start on my dog sitting/walking buissness . i have experience with dogs ,cats,bunnies, birds , reptiles ect. If you give me a chance to care for your animal you will not be disappointed thank you I'm currently trying to start up on a dog walking / care business and I think this is a perfect beginning and I am looking forward to gaining clientele and getting to meet and care for these animals I will care for the animals in the clients probably being responsible following basic protocols and also following every instruction that the client gives to ensure the safety of their animals
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. I’ve taken care of dogs all my life and absolutely LOVE animals. I have 3 fur babies that love to make new friends! During the week I am available for walks and drop in visits before and after work; during the workday depends on the location. For boarding, your dogs would be loved and taken care of the same as mine in our home; let out in the yard every couple hours, fed, given treats, and played with to keep active. I have a fenced in yard for your fur baby to play and 3 dogs who love to make friends. I can also crate your dog if needed.

About: Of course you want your fur baby to be treated like family while you're away. That's exactly how I treat every pet in my care -- with lots of love, attention, scratches, belly rubs, playtime, and cuddles! Your dog will also have plenty of opportunities to enjoy our fenced backyard throughout the day. I live with two other animal lovers, my mom and boyfriend, so there are always multiple people around to keep an eye on your pet, let them outside, and give them extra attention. My mom proudly acts as “Grandma” to every animal who comes through our door! My boyfriend, Jacob, is the cuddle king. Even our Sprinkles, who is normally wary of men, has absolutely adored him from the very beginning. I got my first dog when I was 11, but I loved animals long before then. My first official pet-sitting job came when I was just 12, and I've continued caring for animals ever since. I can care for puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. I'm also experienced with administering medications to pets, both oral and injectable. I've personally experienced what it's like to leave your pets with a sitter and come away feeling disappointed, even a little heartbroken, by the level of care they received. Let me love on your pet when you can't, and rest assured that they're in good hands! 💜 I recently transitioned back into self-employment, working from home as a health coach, which gives me lots of flexibility in my schedule for the joys and responsibilities of caring for pets. Because I work from home, I can give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. I can provide walks, backyard time, playtime, cuddles, and potty breaks throughout the day, and I can easily turn my attention to your pet whenever they need me. My flexible schedule also allows me to accommodate different routines and the individual needs of each pet, as well as work with your schedule when you're arranging drop-off and pick-up times. If your dog loves spending time outside, they'll love our fenced backyard, with plenty of grass to explore, sniff, and roll around in. We live just blocks from Carondelet Park, too, so dogs who enjoy longer walks will have the opportunity to explore the park and get some extra exercise and enrichment. Inside our home, they'll have room to enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs areas and find a comfortable spot to relax. My home office and “Grandma's” living quarters are upstairs, while my boyfriend and I share the downstairs living space. We also have a door that separates the two levels, which allows us to create a separate space for your dog when needed, whether for safety or just to give them some quiet time and a break from our own animals. When introducing a new dog to our pets, we take things gradually and don't expect everyone to become instant best friends. We allow them to get comfortable with each other's presence, supervise their interactions, and give them separate spaces whenever needed. Every dog has a different personality and comfort level, so we let their behavior guide the pace rather than forcing interaction. I always want pets in my care to have a safe, comfortable environment where they can relax and be themselves while their people are away.
