“I feel very lucky to have discovered Leah. She came for a meet and greet and I saw immediately her love of dogs and her devotion to her business. My dog is still getting used to being by herself. Leah was wonderful with keeping in touch with me to tell me how she was doing. I appreciated the pictures and she even sent a video. I'll be booking Leah again!”

“Jordan is the best - so flexible & communicative. We always feel (slightly) less guilty leaving our baby with her knowing that he’s totally obsessed with her. 12/10 would recommend.”

“Christina was amazing! So friendly and responsive via text. She came for a pre-walk visit to meet our dog and you could tell she really cares for animals. We would happily have her walk Ziggy again anytime! Thanks Christina!”

“Gretchen was very responsive and able to fulfill my last minute needs. My dog looked very happy on his walk with her and her son, and I would happily ask Gretchen to look after my pupper again. Thank you Gretchen.”

“Rebecca was fantastic with my pup! He took to her immediately and got excited whenever she came. My dog is a rescue, so he often struggles to trust. Rebecca had great communication and very flexible. I will definitely be using her for my dog walking needs in the future.”

“Kalyna, did an amazing job with bishop while I was away for the holidays. She is reliable and great with dogs. If you haven’t booked her yet. You need to stop thinking and BOOK HER NOW!!”

About: I've taken care of my own dog and cats for over 10 years, as well as others' fur babies. My love for animals makes this a job that I actually enjoy and feel passionate about. Your pets will be safe and happy with me. I am stepping down to part time at my current job so that I can make more time for sitting/walking! My schedule will therefore be much more flexible. Whether your yard is fenced in or not, I will cautiously watch your fur baby and make sure they are safe at all times (doors closed/locked, leashed when walking, etc.)
About: Collectively, I have accumulated many years (5+) of pet care experience throughout my life. Having been a pet owner and sitter for family members and friends, I have definitely gotten a head start in the pet care arena (haha)! I have walked dogs, given awesome night time baths, given excellent belly rubs, made home cooked meals for the pets, played fetch and tug-of-war, trained puppies to potty on puppy pads and I've even been know to teach an old dog a few new tricks! I have traveled domestically catering to the needs of our furry friends and I have enjoyed it tremendously! If you want a super sitter to care for your super cute fur babies, don't leave this profile without giving me a shout, a woof, or a meow! ;) I pet sit full time, and sometimes, around the clock. I work remotely as visual artists, so your fur babies would have plenty of company and love. Pet sitting is my main priority and a way of life for me! Just reach out to me for my availability! I will come to your house to sit with your furry friend or walk them for you when you need a helping hand. I make sure to establish a relationship with the fur babies where they feel safe, understood, and loved. I'd love to take care of your adorable fur babies. You'll be able to enjoy your travels knowing your beautiful fur babies, and your home are being well taken care of. I am a clean, caring mature person who loves traveling via pet-sitting. You can see 5 star reviews on my profile and references from trusted friends, family, and colleagues whom I've helped by looking after their furry family members. I also have experience with plant care. I'd love to talk more about pet sitting for you and taking care of your darlings. Please take a look at my profile, and feel free to set up a call or chat with me.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I work from home full time as a software engineer, so I am available for walks as well as check-ins and house or pet sitting every day. Although I am working, I have very few meetings during the week and no set work schedule, so I can remain attentive and take plenty of walk and play breaks during the day. I am also available for boarding on a case by case basis. As I mentioned, although I am working during the day, I am able to remain attentive all day and have plenty of time to spare for walks and play breaks during the day. I am available to house or dog sit in your home as long as I can be provided with an acceptable internet connection. I am also able to dog sit at my home. I have a fenced in yard as well as a very friendly, calm and well behaved Cavapoo that will be happy to have a friend for the day if they are comfortable with other dogs. If they are not, It is not a problem to keep them separated.
About: Most people feel stressed or guilty when leaving their four legged friends alone for a long weekend or week, but boarding them in the right environment where they are well cared for, feel safe, have structure to their day and are exhausted from play or just catching up on naps gives you peace of mind. Boarding your pup at this home will allow you to sleep like a baby and enjoy your time away to recharge or take care of business. The home is quiet, low key with plenty of room for your pup to stretch their legs out, have zoomies, bird watch from a window or enjoy the sunshine & fresh air in the fenced in yard. The resident dog is an older pup who isn't bothered by much and loves the company of a four legged friend. While Boarding here, walks around a quiet neighborhood occur 3-4 times per day due to the request of the resident dog unless you would prefer not to have this service and use the yard, play time is encouraged and belly rubs or ear scratches will be given as well. Please note, extra precautions will be taken around holiday weekends noted to have fireworks, during thunderstorms or cold weather when there is a lot of salt on roads/sidewalks. Lastly, the home often fosters dogs from the South who were rescued from being euthanized or out of a horrific situation, these pups are vetted & vaccinated prior to arriving and safety is always a priority. This is mentioned because your dog/dogs will be the only guest unless there is a foster in need and you will be notified of this. You can be personally assured that all the fosters that have stayed in the home arrived shy and after a few days realized they were in a safe place and have been sweet, loving & have become fast friends of the resident dog. Please note, if you are local or traveling to Beacon for the weekend or an event, accommodations for your pups pick-up locally or at the train station can be arranged. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns so your pups stay is pawfect! Your pup will have 24 hour care while they are boarding, please be sure to provide any specific instructions for medications and check your calendars for when preventatives are due which can be given to ensure they are administered on the correct day of the month. Dog centered care is provided 24/7 until your return; experiences with all types of personalities, separation anxiety, shy pups, high energy pups, geriatric pups & reactive pups. While we can offer dog beds, toys and a crate if preferred, you can pack your pup an overnight bag with all you would like them to have while you are away as well.
“Lex is amazing! We needed someone to walk our pup and hang out with her for an hour and Lex was so sweet with her (and our kitties). Super communicative, sent cute photos and great to work with. Thanks, Lex!”

“Alina did great with my dog, Nova! She arrived on time and soothed my worries by taking lots of pictures of Nova, who looked like she was having a great time. She was even amenable to my crazy work schedule and was nothing short of amazing about helping me out last minute two days in a row. Definitely going to request her again in the future! Thank you, Alina!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Beacon
Jenna has consistently demonstrated care and consideration toward my two senior dogs as she walked them weekly for the past 10 months. One of my dogs is a diabetic and the other is skittish/reactive. She was able to provide individualized care for each. She always communicates professionally and is on time. I know my dogs are in good hands with her. I will definitely be employing her services again and I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
