“Christina was amazing! So friendly and responsive via text. She came for a pre-walk visit to meet our dog and you could tell she really cares for animals. We would happily have her walk Ziggy again anytime! Thanks Christina!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Shannon! She went above and beyond in caring for our dogs and treated them as if they were her own. She even spent a little extra time working with and training our youngest dog Ellie. That kind of care and dedication means so much. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals and takes pride in what she does. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pets like family!”

“Kalyna, did an amazing job with bishop while I was away for the holidays. She is reliable and great with dogs. If you haven’t booked her yet. You need to stop thinking and BOOK HER NOW!!”

“Rebecca is absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and honestly the best dog walker/sitter we have ever had by a wide margin. Her experience and love of animals makes her extremely adaptable, down to the smallest details. Most of all I know that our pups feel loved and safe with her. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Mary takes care of my dog as if he were her own(in fact I think she spoils him even more than I do!). I am at ease knowing I can work double shifts & my boy is being taken care of.”

“Gretchen was very responsive and able to fulfill my last minute needs. My dog looked very happy on his walk with her and her son, and I would happily ask Gretchen to look after my pupper again. Thank you Gretchen.”

“Grateful is one of the first words that come to mind when describing our experience with Leah. That word brings with it respect, trust and a new friendship. We love our pups and want the best for them always but when leaving them for a while, it’s especially comforting to know that they are in such wonderful hands and those hands are attached to a big heart! Thank you Leah!”

“Jordan is the best - so flexible & communicative. We always feel (slightly) less guilty leaving our baby with her knowing that he’s totally obsessed with her. 12/10 would recommend.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I am available for walks, check-ins, or pet sitting every day. I am also available for boarding on a case by case basis. My work schedule allows me to be present for most of the day, so I can remain attentive and take plenty of walk and play breaks. During the times that I am gone I am able to crate them if that is your preference or they can have free access to the main part of the house and I will check in on them regularly through the doggie cams. I am able to dog sit in your home as well as in my own home, which has a large amount of indoor space that they can roam around in, as well as a partially fenced back yard that they can play in on a long leash with my supervision. I have plenty of time for walks and play breaks during the day. And during the few hours a day that I am out of the house, they can be crated, or they can roam around the main part of the house. I check in on them every half hour through the doggy cams set up in the house. I am comfortable walking, feeding, and if necessary, providing medication on the schedule and in the manner that you prefer.
“Alina did great with my dog, Nova! She arrived on time and soothed my worries by taking lots of pictures of Nova, who looked like she was having a great time. She was even amenable to my crazy work schedule and was nothing short of amazing about helping me out last minute two days in a row. Definitely going to request her again in the future! Thank you, Alina!”

About: Hi everyone my name is Danielle. I have over 10 years experience in dog care. I am a teacher full time.I have experience with all aged dogs, from puppies who need training to seniors who are in need of specialized care and medications. I love animals! I grew up with all types of animals, but mostly dogs. I bring to RoverGo vast experience as a pet sitter. I’ve worked with nearly every breed of dog, from tiny 2-pound toy breeds to large 180-pound furry giants. I also work at an animal hospital so I’m very familiar with all the dogs’ different personalities and I’m also comfortable administering medication, should your pet need it. I have been walking and boarding pets for the last 5 years and I’m happy to provide references! I have plenty of time for your pup and you can be assured that we’ll get in plenty of walks every day My family and I love spending time outdoors and we love having our furry friends accompany us! Bring your high energy pups because we love taking long walks or your senior loungers who will have company most of the day! I am a full time teacher so your pup will only be left alone for a short amount of time during the school year! During the summer and school breaks I am home ! I am able to accommodate as many walks and feedings I live in a quiet complex with plenty of furry neighbors! We can take walks so we can socialize or go our own way if your pup isn’t too fond of others. I do whatever you do at home for your pup when it comes to bed time for example if they sleep in a crate, on their beds or free roam!

About: Hi, my name is Vicky! In 2017 I graduated with a degree in animal sciences from OSU where I volunteered in the ICU and have many years of experience in dog walking and training. Previously, I have worked for family and friends but now I’m looking to expand and work with more owners and their pups! Right now I’m available most week days and weekends to walk or watch your your pet, along with taking care of my own furry babies. At home I have two rescues - a 9 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog named Telly and a 12 year old kitty that runs the house. In my free time I enjoy taking Telly swimming and going backpacking around the country. I’m excited to start working with Rover and am looking forward to meeting your dog! I’m currently working from home and have flexibility in my schedule as needed. Although I have listed my availability, please reach out if your needs are outside of the provided timeframes and I will check if I have flexibility in my schedule. I am always very aware of pet safety and boundaries. As my own dog had issues counter surfing when she was first adopted, I am very conscientious of keeping food and important items out of reach of needed.

Jenna has consistently demonstrated care and consideration toward my two senior dogs as she walked them weekly for the past 10 months. One of my dogs is a diabetic and the other is skittish/reactive. She was able to provide individualized care for each. She always communicates professionally and is on time. I know my dogs are in good hands with her. I will definitely be employing her services again and I highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
