Full Time Care

I'm a formerly FinTech employed millennial living in New Windsor. I provide pet care services out of my home and having a furry friend around to get me up and around the neighborhood is an added bonus to my day. I've watched dogs & cats for friends, family, and now hundreds of clients who have helped me see how rewarding working with animals can be. Bonding with new pets and getting to know their personalities, habits, and behaviors is always a great time. The dog in my profile picture is actually a client of mine, we went on a hike that day. Just like with him, I want to build a relationship with your dog and become like a family member to them and become a person you can rely on to assist with them as needed. Looking forward to meeting you and your 4 legged loved ones.

David and his family made Jezzie feel at home. I hate to leave ger for more than 3 hours alone. She came back happy and healthy!

David was very professional and was there for me on a last minute request which I appreciate. He was very caring, patient and loving with my puppy. He was attentive to his needs (anxious puppy) and communicated with me in timely manner. I highly recommend David to take care of your pet without any reservation. I will definitely book with him again if needed.

Awesome job was very attentive to my pets needs. Was conscious of the heat that week and kept his paws off the pavement. Even treated a small wound to the paw and my fur son was recovered before I picked him up. David kept me abreast all the way through the sitting period.

Schedule

I'm transitioning into pet care full-time, which means your dog gets my complete attention. They're not squeezed between meetings, but the actual focus of my day. I've been doing this for 8 years, and it shows: I'm a Star Sitter with a 100% response rate (usually under 30 minutes) and 100% of my bookings come with photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I'm also Red Cross Certified in Cat & Dog First Aid and CPR, so you can trust I'm prepared for the unexpected. As far as my schedule I'm now available full-time for pet care. Because I keep a boutique client list of just 2 -3 families at a time, I can be flexible and attentive rather than stretched thin, and I plan availability windows in advance so there's no last-minute scrambling on either end.

Safety, trust & environment

I keep my client list intentionally small — I only take pups from 2 families at a time. That's on purpose: it means your dog isn't sharing my attention with a house full of others, and I can genuinely learn their personality, routines, and quirks instead of just managing a schedule. I have experience with senior dogs, special needs, reactive pups, as well as administering oral medication, so I'm comfortable with pets who need a little extra care. I want to build a real relationship with your dog and become someone you trust completely — not just for one booking, but every time you need care. Generally, I keep the pet close to me for the first 24 hours and aim to do potty breaks every 2- 4 hours until there is a good amount of comfort established. When pet sitting I generally get in a minimum of 5 - 10 miles of walking around a day. In addition, I try to make sure the pet is in a good mental state by doing this. Lots of reassurance, rubs, petting etc.I usually also stay up fairly late to ensure that there is someone with the fur buddy for the first day throughout the majority of the day.

A typical day

A typical day now centers around your dog — multiple walks, active playtime in the yard, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day, not squeezed into breaks. I do a minimum of 5 miles of walking a day with pets in my care, and for new dogs I stay close for the first 24 hours to build comfort and read their comfort level before settling into a routine.

Temperament, personality traits, illnesses of any kind or issues they might have. Aggressive tendencies. Medications that may need to be applied. Generally, I will always ask before a fur buddy arrives what kind of personality they have, what allergies or food and behavior issues I need to be aware of, my number one priority is your fur buddies health, safety and happiness.
