“Christina was so thoughtful, kind, and communicative! She charmed both of my cats with 24 hours (one of whom is quite shy) and provided the highest level of care. Anyone would be lucky to work with her! Thank you 🖤”

“Very thorough daily communication. She was caring and loving with our pets and became best friends with even the most skeptical of our pups. Will definitely be rebooking her services for trips in the future.”

“I was very happy with my overall experience with Rover. It was easy to set up and choose someone to care for my 2 cats when I was out of town. Nancy was great! She came when she said she would and gave me updates at each visit. When I came home, the house was so calm and peaceful. The cats were safe, fed and happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy and will use her again in the future. Thanks! :) Rose G.”

“Karena was amazing! She was flexible with scheduling, sent lots of photos, and it was really reassuring having her look after our pets. It was our first time leaving them and we will definitely be using Karen's services again!”

“Maritza was an amazing sitter! She sent photos and updates every time she took care of our cats, Buddha and Gagoots. You can tell by the photos that they really liked her. She played with them and really cared for them from a Wednesday through Sunday! We will definitely use her again! Highly recommend her.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Ava as our dog walker. She walks my pitbull, Giovanni, and my Frenchie, Jerry, and is so gentle, patient, and calm with them, which means everything to me. Ava is incredibly reliable, always on time, and treats Giovanni and Jerry like her own. I love the updates I get after walks, and I always feel like they are safe and well cared for when they’re with her. Both dogs are happier, calmer, and get so excited every time Ava shows up. If you’re looking for someone you can completely trust with your dogs—especially strong breeds—Ava is the best!”

“Adriana was great! Our dogs warmed up very fast to her. She is very respectful of the dogs and their environment, prompt, and great communication. We will be returning for Adriana's service.”

“Gianna has been a pleasure to work with this month. December can be challenging but she remained flexible and up beat despite the weather. My mini dachshund is absolutely in love with her. Thank you 💕”

“AnnMarie helped us with a last-minute request and we couldn't have asked for better care! She was communicative, friendly, and seemed to really love our cats. Highly recommend!”

“Daniela was very sweet to my pets. She was punctual, spent time with them and communicated well. Normally after a day or two away my dog is very depressed but when I got home he very upbeat and happy. I would definitely rebook.”

“Theresa did a great job caring for my black and white cat Leo who needs injections of insulin and for my orange cat Oliver. She was able to accomplish everything needed and was very pleasant to work with!”

“Jackie was a great sitter for our cat! She’s played with her and sent us a video everyday which helped us a lot as we were gone for a while and missed her so so much! We will definitely work with her again.”

“We hired Kalyna for a home visit just to meet her and have her spend a little time getting to know our dog. Everything went great, and we hired her for a home visit next weekend. We look forward to working with her!”

“Vicky is wonderful! She was very easy to work with and my little guy really enjoyed spending time with her and it was such a relief to know that my senior dog was being taken care of when he needed.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Newburgh
Rebecca was awesome with my two cats. Both of them are really shy around new people, but my Tom warmed to her and was asking for snuggles at the end of her stay. I’m so thankful for the communication and updates; it’s clear she loves animals and sincerely wants them to be well taken care of. I would recommend her to anyone in the area!

Jeanette was amazing with our cats when we had to leave for a few days from a medical reason. She was so flexible and spent quality times with them. The cats were well-fed, happy under our care. We didn't have to worry about a single thing. I cannot recommend her enough.

Catherine (Gianna) was GREAAAAAT. This was my first time booking someone to watch my cats rather than asking friends/family, so I was a bit apprehensive, but Gianna made me so comfortable. We did a meet and greet before our booking which was great. I have a skittish cat who doesn’t like to come out when there are other people around but to my surprise she had no problem coming out when Gianna was there. She sent pictures and gave me updates and even picked up a frame that had fell and cracked. Amazing experience and I will definitely be using Gianna to watch my babies during my next trip!

Loren went above and beyond in watching our cat while we were away for a week! This is the first time we’ve ever had someone outside of family watch our cat and we’re extremely anxious, but Loren put all that to ease! From the meet and greet to the final visit has been extremely stressless for us. She sent extremely detailed notes every visit and even brought up our garbage cans and vacuumed up litter in the basement. Would definitely book again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
