“Maryline is wonderful with my puppy Josie. She is reliable and flexible when it comes to my work schedule. She also keeps me updated throughout the day with plenty of photos from their walks.”

About: I have 3 dogs from ages 1 to 13, so I’m experienced with everything from puppy training to senior care—every dog gets personalized love . Pet care is already a part of my everyday life. As the owner of Daisy Pet Spa, I spend my days caring for dogs and making their comfort and well-being my priority. At home, I also have three dogs of my own, so my daily routine naturally revolves around feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and lots of one-on-one attention. I only take on a manageable number of bookings so every pet receives the time, patience, and personalized attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and low-stress environment where they receive plenty of one-on-one attention. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest. I always use secure leashes and harnesses during walks, keep a close eye on pets at all times, and make sure they have a safe space to relax. I treat every pet like one of my own and respect your home by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind.
“Tracy was amazing when she first came home to acquaint herself with our dog Alex. They both got along well and she was confident that she would be able to take Alex for a walk. She arrived promptly on the day of the walk and kept sending us messages and photos of Alex during her entire visit. Alex looked very comfortable and happy with her. We are very pleased with Tracy and will continue to hire her in the future. Also, we would recommend her to our friends as well.”

“Gretchen was very responsive and able to fulfill my last minute needs. My dog looked very happy on his walk with her and her son, and I would happily ask Gretchen to look after my pupper again. Thank you Gretchen.”

“Melony is great! So nice and friendly. Very accommodating and flexible. This is my first time hiring a dog walker and she put me at ease. She’s a dog mom too! Thank you melony!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and understand them very well. I now have a cat of my own and looking to look after both. I am currently working part time so will have plenty of time to tend to your furbaby. I can go to your place and take care of them. I can easily handle different temperaments of cats and dogs and look after them in your own home. I also have 1 cat that is friendly.
About: I've taken care of my own dog and cats for over 10 years, as well as others' fur babies. My love for animals makes this a job that I actually enjoy and feel passionate about. Your pets will be safe and happy with me. I am stepping down to part time at my current job so that I can make more time for sitting/walking! My schedule will therefore be much more flexible. Whether your yard is fenced in or not, I will cautiously watch your fur baby and make sure they are safe at all times (doors closed/locked, leashed when walking, etc.)
About: I have 3 dogs of my own and I have always been an animal lover. I also love to exercise so dog walking is perfect for me. I have trained my dogs to understand their basic commands and they have excelled. I also am a volunteer at the animal shelter so I have worked with all kinds of dogs throughout different ages. I work from 9-4 Monday-Friday which would allow for me to do the later shifts when walking or watching a dog. On the Weekends I am available all day usually because that is my time off from my Daycare Job. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, my top priority is ensuring their safety and comfort within a familiar, stress-free environment. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and preferred play or rest habits, to maintain consistency and reduce anxiety. I take the time to understand the layout of the home and make sure any potentially hazardous items—like loose wires, open trash bins, or accessible medications—are safely out of reach. I always double-check that doors, gates, and fences are secure before and after outdoor time. When walking, I use only the client-approved leashes, harnesses, or other safety gear and avoid unfamiliar or overly busy areas unless instructed otherwise. I also keep a close eye on the dog’s behavior and body language to quickly catch signs of stress or discomfort. Clear communication with the owner is essential—I provide regular updates and follow all instructions carefully, including dietary needs and any medications. My goal is to ensure every dog feels safe, secure, and loved in the comfort of their own home.
About: I personally have a cat that was initially my daughter’s but I inherited her and have grown to love immensely. I have cared for my daughter’s chameleon and tortoise in her absence on several occasions. I’m a big dog lover!!! They bring me lots of joy. I have had shepherds, Belgian Malinois, mixed breeds, and labs in my life. Currently I continue to have two full grown labs, and a yellow puppy lab in my life through my great friend. I could not imagine life without them. They are the definition of unconditional love. I’m currently working full time, but if needed I can be available in the evening for dog walking. And on the weekends I have availability for dog walking, feeding, or playing. I will care for them as if they were my own with care, compassion, and love. And ensure that they are always safe in my hands.
“Kayla was great! She had also has a mini aussie so the two of them became fast friends. She was knowledgeable and amazing with our dog - you can clearly tell she knows how to take care of dogs.”

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments, belonging to family, friends, neighbors, or brand-new clients. My care is full of love, snuggles, and focused attention. I’m detail-oriented and follow owner instructions carefully, ensuring your pet stays safe, healthy, and happy. I have experience with everything from energetic puppies and kittens to gentle senior dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable administering medications or handling special diets. For me, spending time with animals is more than a job—it’s a joy and a privilege I look forward to whenever I have the opportunity. I look forward to meeting your pet! Since my full time job is remote and computer-based, I am able to accommodate in-home care for 1-2 weeks at a time. I care for pets by giving them loving attention and following owner instructions carefully. I make sure I understand all that is needed at the beginning of a job, and if questions arise, I never hesitate to contact the pet owner. I enjoy playing with pets and taking dogs out for walks, or even hikes if they and the owner are open to that. I'm basically ready to be their new favorite playmate :)

About: I’ve been taking care of different kinds of animals over the last few years. I’ve always loved meeting and getting to know other animals in my neighborhood!! I’m always free in the afternoons! I work mornings at a doggy daycare and I’m usually available by 1:30. Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance for any services. I typically use a flat leash leash, but I always make sure that the animal have as much space as they need to do what they need to do. I always try to provide some type of treat or enrichment on walks.
About: I have petsit and watched over a multitude of animals my entire adolescence. From dogs to cats to even ferrets, I made sure they were loved and well cared for the whole time ❤️ I am fully available every day of week the during the daytime. On weekends I work part time, however, that will not interfere as I can make sure to care for your pets both before and after my shift! I prefer to keep the animal in the house that they reside in, as it is less stress than changing their entire environment. I will make sure to abide by any house rules and make sure your baby stays safe while you’re away!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Castle Point
Jenna has consistently demonstrated care and consideration toward my two senior dogs as she walked them weekly for the past 10 months. One of my dogs is a diabetic and the other is skittish/reactive. She was able to provide individualized care for each. She always communicates professionally and is on time. I know my dogs are in good hands with her. I will definitely be employing her services again and I highly recommend her!
I am so happy I found Jasmine - she was so communicative and came to visit Sherlock before his first walk with her on the same day. This gave me total peace of mind. She spent time with Sherlock, walked him and kept me in the loop when she finished. She is lovely, easy to work with and most importantly, Sherlock took to her immediately!

Emily has been walking my two pups for a couple days and she has been great. She’s goes above and beyond for our pups who she just met! Glad I went with Emily, she sends me updates on each walk and has been helping us tremendously! Our pups get excited to see her! I highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
