“Excellent care and attentiveness. My dog was comfortable right away, during a rough week of meeting lots of new people and lots of change. But my dog loves Matthew’s son, which is the secret sauce 🤣”

“Alison is so great! She was super flexible with drop off and pick up time and my dog loved staying with her during the day. Once we were two blocks away he would start running and whimpering.”

“Courtney and Stella (our pup) had a beautiful day together! Courtney took such good care of Stella, giving her lots of outdoor time (fenced-in yard) which she loves. We will DEFINITELY be requesting Courtney again to care for our little Stella. Thank you so much, Courtney!”

“Daniela was really wonderful, attentive and patient and flexible. Goguma is still in his puppy phase and got to play with her dog. She checked in several times. I felt like Goguma was in great hands and look forward to future dates with Daniela.”

“I had to find a sitter very last minute due to an unexpected conflict, and Kat truly came through for me when I was in a bind. She responded quickly, was extremely understanding of my situation, and immediately put me at ease. Her communication was excellent—she sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which really helped calm my anxiety and let me know my pup was happy and well cared for. Kat’s building was a huge bonus—it’s extremely dog-friendly and has the cutest pups lol There was a private dog run right along the water that she was able to take my sweet dolly to,and a gorgeous park just across the street. It was clear from the updates that my dog was getting plenty of outdoor time and stimulation. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Reliability is everything when trusting someone with your pet, and Kat exceeded expectations. She was warm, professional, and totally dependable. I would absolutely book with her again 💖”

About: I’ve worked with dogs professionally across different platforms; daycares, shelters, and a training facility. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments; I’ve yet to be scared off by a dog! Not every dog loves strangers but I’m dedicated to putting in the effort to gain their trust. My schedule is pretty open, so I’m happy to watch your dog whenever you need. Whether it’s a regular appointment or the odd drop-in as your schedule changes, I’m happy to help! I have a partially fenced in yard and two dogs of my own. Birdie loves to play with other dogs but is reactive at first so she requires a slow introduction. Once she knows a dog, she’ll play as much as her friend will let her! Luna, however, is not exactly a social butterfly. She can coexist peacefully with other dogs but would rather not play with them. My girls are not great playmates for every dog, and that’s okay! Some dogs prefer human friends and others prefer a specific quality in their doggy friends that my girls may not have; no worries! My main goal is always for your dog(s) to have a great time with me. If they prefer a structured or training based walk, we can do that. Some dogs like the freedom of a long leash walk, and we can do that too. Others like to throw a ball, and that works too! Whatever will get your dog the most excited is what we’ll do (within reason, of course). I love to watch dogs be dogs. I’ve worked with several dogs that don’t trust people easily, and I’m dedicated to taking the time to gain their trust. I’ve worked with dogs with a couple of different special needs as well, so just let me know what specific care your dog needs and I’ll be sure to ask if I have any questions. My dog Birdie underwent a hind leg amputation a year ago and in my time at shelters I’ve assisted with surgery recovery with a handful of dogs. I’m known to pay attention to every little detail of the dogs in my care. If there are any changes in your dog’s behavior, I will let you know immediately. I truly come to love every dog like my own, and I can’t wait to meet my new friends!
“What can I say? Tara responded quickly and she asked very pertinent questions before we met and that alerted me to how careful she would be about caring for my puppy. He was nervous going in but Tara quickly reassured him and not an hour later she sent me photos that erased my worry. He enjoyed his time there and she had many insights into him when I picked him up. I will use Tara again and recommend her to anyone looking for care in the Newburgh area. She knows a bunch about breeds and how they act and that is comforting.”

About: Growing up, I cared for a variety of pets including cats, a dog, a turtle, fish, and even butterflies, which taught me how to be attentive to different needs. I’ve always focused on making sure animals feel safe and respected in their environment. I’m also very consistent with routines and rules, which helps pets feel comfortable and secure while in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I live an active lifestyle and enjoy being outdoors. I already plan time in my days for walks, exercise, and fresh air, so adding in pet care feels like a natural extension of that. When caring for pets, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and engaged. For dog walks, I provide plenty of exercise while keeping a steady pace that matches each dog’s energy level, always prioritizing leash safety. For doggy daycare, I have a fully fenced-in yard with non-toxic plants and natural shade from trees and shrubs, giving dogs a secure and relaxing place to play and explore. I also have cameras that detect movement and human faces for added safety. Along with outdoor play, I provide rest breaks, fresh water, and lots of attention so each dog feels cared for throughout the day.
“This was my first experience using Rover. I needed to find a last minute sitter for my pup while traveling and Mario came through. He was responsive and a good communicator and I could tell my dog would be comfortable with him the moment he answered the door due to his kind and happy energy. Definitely would recommend Mario as a pet sitter.”

“Kimmie is so sweet, and she's a wonderful, calm presence around my dog! He had a great time at her house. We can't wait to be her regular client. She's extremely communicative, welcoming, and listened to all of our needs. Thanks Kimmie!”

“Maryline is amazing! It was my first time leaving my puppy all day, and she made it way easier than i thought. She is so sweet and caring and my pup felt comfortable right away. She sent so many pictures that made me feel as ease and her you could tell my puppy loved her sons, and they kept him playing and busy which tuckered him out. Highly recommend her for any of your fur babies needs. I know that she is now my #1 go to person for my little Theo!”

About: Hello! I have 24 years of experience living with and taking care of dogs. I have volunteered to help dogs throughout my adulthood, including walking dogs and working at the local shelter. I also have experience with managing aggressive dogs (towards people and other animals), although please note I have a dog so your pup needs to be pet-friendly to stay at our home. I work from home Monday through Wednesday and my pup Ralphie would love to have a playmate and/or nap partner during the day! We are also available for overnights Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. My pup gets a walk before work, during lunch, and after work, and goes out into our fenced yard to hang multiple times per day. “Highly recommend. My senior dog had a great doggy daycare day with Taus. I wish I lived locally so I could rebook. I got photos and videos of her galavanting around town (with my permission), visiting local shops and having the time of her life. Communication was super smooth leading up to the day, and we even got to video chat before the booking. Taus asked what else could be done to make Myrtle’s stay as comfortable as possible, which was very sweet.”
