About: I ensure pets feel safe, comfortable and happy with personalized routines, play time and plenty of love while you’re away. 15+ years of experience of pet sitting/pet owner. I have assisted in whelping puppies and care for my own dog with multiple health issues. I work a typical 8:30-4:30 job in the Ocean and Monmouth county area. But I am flexible with work from home, or traveling for drop in visits. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for running, frolicking and playing. I understand the importance of maintaining their routines and schedules all while providing endless love! I am comfortable with administering medication if necessary.
“Arlene was a pleasure to leave my fur baby with for a few days. She stayed in constant contact with me and sent photos daily. Will definitely reach out again to her if we need a sitter again!”

“My Leah is a wonderful dog but can become sad when we leave her. Joanna was amazing!!! She was very interactive with Leah the whole time she cared for her. Took her out on walks and played with her in her back yard. She also kept me updated the whole time. Sent pictures and updates. She really cared for Leah. I would give her more stars if I could. My best experience with a Rover sitter.”

“Crystal and her family were great and our little guy had plenty of love and attention from all of them. He came home happy and healthy and very well cared for. I highly recommend Crystal and will be using her again very soon!”

About: I have always been a lover of animals. I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, guniea pigs, and hamsters. Every single animal I’ve had has been given the love they deserve. Giving them all their play time, I have a huge fenced in yard for dogs to run around in and play fetch. If pets need their own space, I can accommodate that. If you need me to take extra time out for them I can offer that as well! I’m here to help! I am a hairstylist by trade for 27 years and love what I do, I work part time to be home more with my children. Being a hairstylist, I love helping my clients look and feel good. That being said, I figured I can help people in other ways as well and being that I love animals, why not help people with their pets by taking care of them! I take my dog on daily walks, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays but those are the days I work in the salon, but my husband takes our dog out. She also will go to my mother's house in the summer to swim with us as she absolutely loves the pool! Being that I am home most of the week, watching dogs fits well into my schedule. I will treat other people's pets as if they were my own. As long as they are potty trained, I will allow them to walk freely in my home, I have a huge fenced in yard for them to run and play. As long as the weather is beautiful out, I will take them on walks as well with my family! Myself and my family will treat your pets as if they were ours! We will show them love the entire time they are with us!
“Nicole took such amazing care of our dog Dakota while we were away! We’ve used her twice now, and both times Dakota came home sooo happy. You can really tell Nicole genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. She even recommended a great groomer for Dakota, which we really appreciated. She has a nice backyard, and her kids and dogs are super friendly, so Dakota had plenty of fun and social time while staying there. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Dakota was in such good hands. We highly recommend Nicole — definitely a 5-star experience!”

“I needed a last minute sitter for Cooper and found Rose. She was super responsive and understanding of Coopers needs. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again the future.”

“Scott and Amber were amazing with our two huskies, Memphis and Phoenix. We received pictures, videos, and texts regularly. Scott and Amber eased my worries about leaving our pups for the first time. We highly recommend them.”
“Joanne was so nice and made us feel so at ease. She was very responsive, kind and trustworthy. We highly recommend her and would definitely have our dog stay with her again.”

“Anne was fabulous with our senior dog Nelson! She was so kind and warm. He absolutely had a fabulous time with her, her grandkids and her lovely backyard. She did such a great job taking care of him and giving him all his heart meds on his crazy schedule. We will absolutely be back! Thanks so much Anne 😊”

“Megan take care of my little lulu. very responsive and sending updates all the time. pays attention to tiny details that will make you feel comfortable and safe leaving your puppy with her.”

About: Hi! I’m Sarah 🐾 - pls forgive me for my profile I'm still trying to figure Rover out✨ Scheduling Note: I’m unavailable for drop-offs and pick-ups from Friday evening until Sunday morning. Thank you for understanding! I’ve loved working with dogs for as long as I can remember and have experience with dog walking, hiking, daycare, and basic training support. I’m especially great with high-energy breeds and love making sure every dog gets the exercise, attention, and care they need. Whether your pup loves long walks, outdoor adventures, or just some extra company during the day, I treat every dog like family and focus on creating a safe, fun, and positive experience. 🐶💛 A Typical Day • Morning potty break, breakfast, fresh water, and exercise. • Walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of attention throughout the day. • Rest breaks in a comfortable, supervised environment. • Evening walk, dinner (if needed), and lots of love before bedtime. Some weekdays I work a short shift. During that time, dogs are safely settled, and I only accept bookings that fit my schedule so they continue to receive the care, exercise, and attention they deserve. Boarding Schedule: Friday arrivals are welcome before 5:00 PM. Drop-offs and pick-ups resume Sunday morning. Safety is my top priority so I treat every pet like my own and keep the space clean and secure. Sticking to their routine is really important to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free.
“Hedra takes such good care of our fur babies! He works with each cat and meets them where they are at - our older boy likes lap sitting, while one loves play time, and one is very shy. They adjust well. Which to me means they are comfortable and are in good care!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
