About: I started training dogs at 12yrs old… Ive trained my boy to be a world champion two years in a row. I train service dogs, police, protection, and more! Dogs make my world go round. I train dogs for a living. And would love to help others relive their babies while they’re at work, and I have free time to help! I care for your pet the exact way you ask for ! They are your pride and joy. I treat each dog as if they were my own, and make sure I’m a person I would trust to leave my dogs with
“Nicole took such amazing care of our dog Dakota while we were away! We’ve used her twice now, and both times Dakota came home sooo happy. You can really tell Nicole genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. She even recommended a great groomer for Dakota, which we really appreciated. She has a nice backyard, and her kids and dogs are super friendly, so Dakota had plenty of fun and social time while staying there. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Dakota was in such good hands. We highly recommend Nicole — definitely a 5-star experience!”

“Kai LOVES being with Crystal and her kids! They give him a lot of love and attention. He has stayed with them a few times and Crystal will always be my first choice whenever I need a sitter for Kai.”

“Arlene was a pleasure to leave my fur baby with for a few days. She stayed in constant contact with me and sent photos daily. Will definitely reach out again to her if we need a sitter again!”

“Scott and his family were the best. Our puppy loved her stay! We would highly recommend Scott. He's very personable and has everything you need to feel comfortable and everything your dog needs to be well taken care of. He went the extra mile for our puppy and let her sleep with him because at the time she wasn't sleeping in a crate. We'll be using Scott again.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. As a stay-at-home mom with a dog of my own, your pup will be treated like a member of my family and receive plenty of attention, companionship, and love throughout the day. I provide a safe, comfortable home environment where dogs can relax, play, and feel at ease while you're away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're gone. Because I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time, each guest receives personalized care and attention. I work from home, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, and your dog will never be left alone. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks, and making sure every pup feels comfortable and cared for while they're with me. I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to safely run, play, and explore. Your dog will be treated like a member of my family and will receive lots of attention, affection, and supervised outdoor time. My friendly family dog, Ollie, loves making new canine friends and helps visiting pups feel right at home. To ensure a calm and safe environment, I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time and encourage meet-and-greets before boarding. You'll also receive regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pup is happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

“Anne was fabulous with our senior dog Nelson! She was so kind and warm. He absolutely had a fabulous time with her, her grandkids and her lovely backyard. She did such a great job taking care of him and giving him all his heart meds on his crazy schedule. We will absolutely be back! Thanks so much Anne 😊”

“Patty is a great sitter with compassion and was very caring to our dog Milo. She shared tons of pictures during his stay at her house, in the yard and during walks. Tucker was a great companion at our dogs overnight stay and we highly recommend Patty to care for your Pet. Thank you Patty & Tucker.”

About: I have always been a lover of animals. I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, guniea pigs, and hamsters. Every single animal I’ve had has been given the love they deserve. Giving them all their play time, I have a huge fenced in yard for dogs to run around in and play fetch. If pets need their own space, I can accommodate that. If you need me to take extra time out for them I can offer that as well! I’m here to help! I am a hairstylist by trade for 27 years and love what I do, I work part time to be home more with my children. Being a hairstylist, I love helping my clients look and feel good. That being said, I figured I can help people in other ways as well and being that I love animals, why not help people with their pets by taking care of them! I take my dog on daily walks, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays but those are the days I work in the salon, but my husband takes our dog out. She also will go to my mother's house in the summer to swim with us as she absolutely loves the pool! Being that I am home most of the week, watching dogs fits well into my schedule. I will treat other people's pets as if they were my own. As long as they are potty trained, I will allow them to walk freely in my home, I have a huge fenced in yard for them to run and play. As long as the weather is beautiful out, I will take them on walks as well with my family! Myself and my family will treat your pets as if they were ours! We will show them love the entire time they are with us!

This was our first time using Matt for an overnight for our dog Gino. Gino had the absolute best time! Not only did Matt send us updates and pics which made us feel so comfortable and happy knowing he was having fun, Gino loved Matt’s dogs Jax and Henry. (And so do we!) We are so lucky to have found Matt! Thank you for taking such good care of Gino! See you next week!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
