About: I have always loved being around animals, but due to my living circumstances and travel activities, owning a pet has become complicated. After retiring in 2022, I stumbled upon pet/house sitting as a means to satisfy my travel urge and my desire to be around animals. In the three years I have been house sitting, I have cared for dozens of family pets in cities all around the US. I have a part time job working a few hours just a couple of mornings a week at a YMCA. However, I have plenty of room in my schedule when I am not traveling. Rover makes it possible for me to satisfy the urge for animal companionship when I am in KC. I do not have the space or circumstances to allow me to care for other people's pets in my home. However, I am willing to travel to your home to care for your pet when you cannot do so yourself. If you need to be gone overnight, I am willing to come and offer your pet the companionship they need to feel comfortable and safe. Similarly, I am happy to do drop-ins to let them out, feed them, take them for walks, clean their litter boxes, etc. As mentioned, I have been actively involved in pet sitting on TrustedHouseSitters for the past three years and have many 5-star reviews for my efforts.

We did not have any previous experience with her, but the fact that she had 2 Great Pyrenees and we have 2 huskies made us feel confident she would be comfortable around our dogs. Brittany initiated setting up our meet and greet and had great communication. She sent us daily pictures and videos of our dogs and updates. She also did extra stuff such as bringing in our mail and vacuuming/cleaning so the house would be clean upon our return. She spent a lot of time with the dogs during the day and I could tell from the pictures they looked happy and relaxed with her. Thank you so much Brittany for helping our family in our time of need, it means everything. I will definitely be using her services again!”
“We were pretty nervous about having someone in our home to take care of our pets, and have always relied on boarding with out vet, in the past. Shanelle is the first person who we have ever had housesit with our pets. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have had her stay 2 or 3 times, and one time for over a week. She is wonderful! She is the sweetest, kindest person, and really seems to care about our home and our pets. Her fiance helps her from time to time and he is also very nice and reliable. Besides doing everything that was expected, she also made sure our newly planted grass was watered every day, and took our 9 month old puppy to her own home for a playdate with her own dogs. Our house was clean and in perfect order when we got home. We can't thank Shanelle enough for such a great experience, and we highly recommend her! We will have her stay again, for sure!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life! We always had 3 or more dogs in our house at a time! This led to me dog sitting all throughout high school and college! I have a passion for dogs! I currently work full-time but I have flexibility to leave when I need to! I normally leave early on Monday and Tuesday. I also work from home on Thursdays.
