“This is the second time we have used Natalie and couldn't be more happier. She always keeps us informed on how our dogs are doing with texts as well as pictures. One of our dogs gets really nervous during storms and she took the time to sit with him to calm him down. When planning our trips we will make sure she is available before we book anything.”
“Briley was amazing. She was conscientious with our senior dog and coaxed him into taking his many pills. Our little rescue who doesn’t like most people let her guard down with Briley and made a new friend! She followed all our instructions to a T and we will hopefully be having her back soon!”

“So thankful they were able to take care of our dog, who was on medication, while we were out of town for over a week. It was a last minute need as our boarding facility was not able to take our pup. They made the transition as smooth as possible and everything worked out great!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life with different needs and personalities, I've also had family and friends come to me to take care of there pets. I'm currently working part time at a jackson animal clinic, i work 5-6 hours a day about 4 days a week. My schedule changes every week. I have a fenced in yard with two cats that are very friendly. Trust i will have full attention to your pet and make sure their needs are met.
“Lilia was amazing with our rescue pup, Berkley! She is super calm and kind - we could tell our Berkley already felt comfortable around her the first time she met her! She sent us many photos throughout the weekend. She was very communicative and professional. We would recommend her to any friend or family member!”

“Daniel was fantastic! He took amazing care of both our dogs, cats, and house. It was the most stress free experience I’ve ever had on vacation. He sent daily updates and photos, tidied up the home, and followed our dog’s routine making it a seamless transition. Our rescue who struggles to be around new people warmed up to him quickly. I highly recommend Daniel! We will definitely be using him again for any future trips.”

About: I’ve never known a time during my life when I didn’t have a pet. My family had several dogs and I even owned some exotic pets. My current doggo is Kali, a five year old Bernedoodle. As somebody who is highly empathetic by nature, I connect really easily with animals. For this reason, family and friends always trusted me to take care of their loved fur friends. I work well with young to old pets, and am accustomed to very gentle training and care with lots of love. This is my full time gig. I’m autistic, so being around animals is both therapeutic and what I enjoy as I find it to be much less stress inducing than work that requires socialization. I also have a special connection with animals as I’m a very empathetic person and read energies well. I have a yard and a friendly, trained bernedoodle that works very well with other dogs. She’s been in training and daycare since she was a puppy. Your pets are more than welcome to have a playmate if they’re friendly as well. I also have a large crate if your pet needs kenneled. I give pets constant attention and honestly spoil them, so to me they are just another family member.

“Erica took great care of our dog while we were away. She was communicative and sent daily updates with pictures and videos. We will definitely book her again!”

“Shantanice was great! I left with no worries about her taking care of Murphy and our house. We came back to a happy dog and a clean home! I got regular communication and check-ins! Would definitely book her again!”

“Susan is always amazing with our fur baby! She gives us daily updates with pictures. Our doggie has a grass allergy and her paws gets red and sore from her licking them she asked about what to give her and even had have some suggestions for us. We have booked her several times and will continue to book her when needed!”

“Jessica is so attentive to learning and naturally knew how to read Brody’s needs and wants. I felt so comfortable leaving him with Jessica. I think he fell in love with her immediately. She is wonderful.”

“He did a great job hanging out with my dane. They got along great and he was in tip top shape when I returned. I could tell he liked him because he was glued to him before he noticed I was home.”

“Olivia was great! During our meet and great she was open about the time frame she was available so we made a slight adjustment for Sunday which was easy enough but if we hadn’t known in advance it would have been a stressor! I loved the updates she gave us and the pics were soooo reassuring! Gunner was 100% himself when we got home and the next morning which is a true blessing. We will definitely be using Olivia for now on!”

“Amanda was great! Very responsive, setting up a meet and greet was quick and easy, and she checked in with pictures regularly so we never had to worry. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I always insure that pets are comfortable! I’ve taken care of old cats and dogs, and I when they are old like that it’s important to meet their needs first, as most of the time they need a lot of guidance and help. I am currently going into online college, so most of my day is free! I often sit down and watch TV or play video games, but I mostly enjoy writing and drawing in my free time I personally like to ask owners how there pets are in the company of others, as well as if any weather bugs them! The comfort of my pets, and owners is always my number 1 priority! I want to make sure that they are comfortable around me, and I never approach any animal until I’ve let them sniff me, it’s important that they trust me to be around them.
“we were so worried about leaving our babies but Courtney took all of those concerns away. She took pictures for us and on our arrival, our babies seemed almost concerned that Courtney wasn’t the one. ? would most certainly recommend her to everyone and would choose her first.”

“Our dogs seemed so happy bin the pictures and they sent daily pictures of all 4 of our fur babies! They came a day early to meet our dogs so they would be more familiar to them. Definitely recommend!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Leavenworth
Jenna was amazing! Very open & communicative. Bella very clearly loved her as a sitter - she took great care of Bella and our home. Couldn’t recommend more! (Reluctantly leaving this review because we very much hope Jenna is available next time we need a dog sitter; but we won’t gate-keep—truly a great experience all around.)

Natalie was so great with our animals when I went to California. She gave me updates multiple times a day on my babies including pictures of them. I knew they were very well taken care of. She went above and beyond what I adied and took my trash to the street for trash day, brought my mail inside and even watered all of my plants for me. Our house was cleaner than the way we left it. Couldn’t recommend Natalie more.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Rachel and could not recommend her more highly. From the moment we left, we felt completely confident that our home and pets were in great hands, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation without any stress or worry. She took exceptional care of our home. Communication was excellent throughout our time away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing everything was being handled so thoughtfully. Finding someone trustworthy enough that you can truly disconnect while traveling is invaluable, and she absolutely exceeded our expectations. We would gladly have her stay in our home again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, responsible, and genuinely caring.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leavenworth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leavenworth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leavenworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
