About: Located just 10 minutes west of the Legends of Kansas City, your fur-baby will get the TLC that you’d provide in your own home. Plenty of attention and room to run! I currently work some evenings and weekends in order to homeschool during the day so we are home often. I will be clear about availability during bookings. My family is fur-baby friendly with 4 goats, a flock of chickens, two sweet puppies, and a cat currently. During bookings my two dogs (one is an outdoor farm dog) and cat will be kept separate to ensure the safety and comfort of all. Any medical, training, attention, and care needs will be accommodated as requested by the owner.

About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. I treat every animal like a family and I willl give your pet loving care whether it's for a quick walk or an overnight stay. I have a very flexible schedule so I can fully prioritize pet care. My days naturally revolve around the animals I am caring for and I enjoy creating routine that suits their needs. My home, farm in the woods, is a dog paradise where they can relax, go for walks or play. In client's home, I'm respectful of their space and routines, I communicate with the owner, send updates and make sure the pet has all my attention.

She spoke so highly of my puppy and it really made me feel like she cared about her. She spent time training her every day and adhered to the schedule I provided for structure. She set up play dates to socialize my puppy as she doesn’t have any pets in her home. She went above and beyond training on concepts I hadn’t introduced to my puppy yet. She was thorough in our initial meet and even recapped with me at the end of the week. Her daily recaps shared so much info about my puppies day and I loved hearing about everything they did together and how much she enjoyed her time with my puppy. Jamie is a stellar caregiver, accommodating of my schedule, loving towards my puppy, and great with communication.”

About: Currently only interested in 1 visit a day that can bd flexible around my work schedule. I’ve always had animals, dogs & cats mostly but others too. Caring for them when your away would be my pleasure. I currently have 3 dogs & 2 cats! My work schedule is crazy! Changes daily! I can only visit your pet once per day & it needs to be a rather flexible time but I will do my best to accommodate your schedule as well. Our yard is NOT fenced but due the landscaping most dogs stay close, I don’t mind clipping a leash on & walking with them too. I enjoy giving belly scratches & brushing out the loose hair. Kittens always should get a good ear rub & loving! We feed twice a day, morning & evening. Water bowls are all over!

About: I have worked in veterinary Kennels and in shelters. I am also a certified Dog and Cat trainer through Animal Behavior College in 2013. I have been trained in animal first aide. I have a military I.D. so I can also care for military families as well! I come home on my lunch break to let the dogs run in the yard (we NEVER leave the dogs outside on their own for safety from hawks etc). The longest they are alone is 5 hours. Our live revolve around our own dogs so they will feel like one of the family in no time. We have a fenced .75 acre yard that we stay out with them for safety. Older pups will be carried on any stairs to prevent any falls. Kenneling is a part of our home for safety. But if we are home they are out. The dogs have their own room where they kennel that has safety film on the windows so they can benefit from the light but are not tormented by the squirrels in the trees. Cats are kept in their own area as well. I know how important your dog is and I will treat them the way I would want mine treated. With the exception of errands and taking kids to school I am home full time. We treat visitors as one of the pack. Often our visiting pups like to lounge on the couch when not supervised in the yard. I have a fenced yard and dogs are not left outside unattended (especially the little ones). We have a multi layered floor plan so if a dog needs to be alone for a bit we have the ability to do so.

We recently had to let our 14 year Manitou, our beloved German Shepherd mix go. We adopted her when she 2 months old!! My daughter was 8 at the time and got to grow up with her “sister.” When she got her own place at college and wanted a dog of her own, I helped my daughter find and rescue her own 2-month old dachshund puppy, Margot. We spent the summer together crate training and potty training the newest member of our family, my grandpuppy. We attended Puppy Training classes together where Margot learned good manners with people and other puppies her age. A little about myself; I worked as a Paralegal for over 20 years. January of 2020 I decided to start petsitting full time. I saw the need for “dog nanny” services, housesitting & caring for some dogs who do not handle new environments as well as others or other dogs. So I focus on one on one care. I also open up my home for “dog lodging” where the dog is treated as a guest & I make them feel as comfortable as possible & stick to their normal routine. Our home is smoke-free & our fenced in backyard is chemical free (I like dandelions!) Our dogs are like our children and grandchildren. I understand how much yours mean to you, and I will always take care of your dogs as if they were my own.

About: I am available for drop ins over the holidays! I have spent my entire life around animals! I have extensive experience with cats, dogs, and horses, as well as some experience with small pets, including rabbits, ferrets, and aquarium animals. I am certified in Cat & Dog first aid through the Red Cross, and I have previously worked full-time at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, so I have plenty of experience with all different types of dogs. I am also comfortable administering oral and topical medications, and have limited experience with injected medications. My schedule tends to be very flexible; however, I appreciate requests made well in advance. Please be aware that on a typical day I am ONLY available in the mornings and evenings, not at midday. I have experience taking care of many anxious pets, so I always work hard to make sure that each animal is as comfortable and happy as they can be! During walks, that means sniffing if they want to sniff and running if they want to run. I do not interact with other dogs or people on walks, no matter the friendliness/reactivity level of your dog, to keep yours as safe as possible.

About: For as long as I can remember, my family has always had dogs! I have been around a variety of breeds and am comfortable with all kinds. I haven’t gotten another dog since my last dog received his angel wings but I love to be a sitter! I have a large backyard that is great for potty breaks and play time! I am home all day every day. I am looking for a fun part time job for the time to go along with my weekly schedule. I’ve always had dogs up until my last dog received his angle wings. I miss the doggy snuggles and outdoor play time. I would love to care for yours when needed.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my house since I can remember. I’ve learned the different signals they use to communicate their needs with us. I’m currently working part time and in the process of switching to a remote job. Either way- I will be able to pay plenty of attention to the animals in my care! I have an unfenced yard, but I will take dogs for walks frequently. If they are an active pup, depending on the comfort level of the owner and dog, I can take them to a dog park!
