About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. About: I have worked in veterinary Kennels and in shelters. I am also a certified Dog and Cat trainer through Animal Behavior College in 2013. I have been trained in animal first aide. I have a military I.D. so I can also care for military families as well! I come home on my lunch break to let the dogs run in the yard (we NEVER leave the dogs outside on their own for safety from hawks etc). The longest they are alone is 5 hours. Our live revolve around our own dogs so they will feel like one of the family in no time. We have a fenced .75 acre yard that we stay out with them for safety. Older pups will be carried on any stairs to prevent any falls. Kenneling is a part of our home for safety. But if we are home they are out. The dogs have their own room where they kennel that has safety film on the windows so they can benefit from the light but are not tormented by the squirrels in the trees. Cats are kept in their own area as well. I know how important your dog is and I will treat them the way I would want mine treated. With the exception of errands and taking kids to school I am home full time. We treat visitors as one of the pack. Often our visiting pups like to lounge on the couch when not supervised in the yard. I have a fenced yard and dogs are not left outside unattended (especially the little ones). We have a multi layered floor plan so if a dog needs to be alone for a bit we have the ability to do so.
About: I've been fostering the last few years and have experience with all sizes and types of dogs. I'm great with puppies and seniors. Our daily routine is consistent and calm. I love getting out for walks and spending a some time in the backyard a few times a day. I work from home and can provide potty breaks as needed. If I have to be out it will be between 1 and 4 hours. We have a good routine at our house of getting out for a walk or backyard sniff session every morning and evening. I work from home, have a fenced in yard and a very calm home environment. I have a 35 lb dog, Charlie who sleeps all day. We live in a quiet neighborhood that's great for walks. If I go out it's usually about 1 or 2 hours and rarely up to 4 hours. If I have more than one dog, I never leave them in the same space while I'm gone... or when feeding. I'm a small human :) 5 ft tall so while I'm happy to take larger dogs they do need to be leash trained for their safety and mine. Puppies need to be crate trained for their safety too.

I recently retired from registered nursing and would love to continue to take care of non humans! I love dogs and am very active. I believe that dogs need love and most importantly exercise!
