Our dog took to Cristina, and it made me feel at ease the way Cristina interacted with our dog. She was personable, and my dog came home tired from her stay, which is a good thing for us. We would absolutely use Cristina again!

About: I've been around and owned large dogs throughout my life, as well as other small and exotic pets. All guests will meet Gracie, our very friendly service-dog-in-training, who loves to make new friends! Every dog I've owned, I've done at least basic household obedience training with. I'm self-employed, work from home, and have a very flexible schedule. Please check the calendar for blocked dates. Gracie and I typically start our day at 8:00AM, but we can receive visitors as early as 7:00. We start the day with breakfast and yard time before the heat comes in. When it starts to cool off in the evening, Gracie and I walk a 3-mile loop from the house to a nearby wooded trail and back. We have plenty of super chewer toys and treats for larger dogs, and a large fenced in back yard with room to run! Depending on weather, the dogs would spend most of the time in the house during the day. All time in the back yard is supervised. Housebroken dogs are allowed on couches and to roam the house. We also have kennels upstairs and downstairs, if needed.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our fur baby. This was our first time leaving our girl with someone we didn’t know but Alex answered all our questions and we felt more than comfortable leaving her for the day. We loved getting videos of her playing and having a good time with all her new friends. If in the KC area again, we would definitely take her back!

We knew we were going to be happy with leaving our Stella at Josh’s house, just from the meet and greet we had with him. His home is in a country setting and there is a huge fenced yard for the dogs to play in. Josh sent us several pictures during the day of Stella playing with the other dogs, and we could tell she was having a great time! His hours are much more flexible than the boarding place we have used before. When we got Stella home, she was totally worn out from playing so much. We will definitely be bringing Stella back to Josh’s for day care and boarding!!

I am military and I am able to access base when needed. I am 21 years old and I LOVE animals!! Due to my Army career I live in a loft with my wife, my dog. Taking care of animals is my calling! I have now been in the Army for three years. I joined to further pursue my college education and become a veterinarian in the future. I am extremely passionate about the care that animals receive. I have volunteered for lots of shelters since i was young to learn all about animals and their needs, so it is my duty to ensure that your fur baby is well taken care of. Being that i worked with a lot of trained animal handlers, I have experience with animals who have many special needs such as diabetes, aids, cancer, seniors, etc. I also have experience with many different ages and breeds of dogs/cats. I previously worked at a groomers and volunteered at a pet shelter. At both establishments I fed the animals, bathed them, played with them, and took them out for restroom breaks. | love to stay active so I go on a daily walk/run and I would love for your pet to accompany me. I have plenty of room in my schedule to spend quality time with your pet. This would include going to the park, play time, and even cuddle time! While you are gone from your sweet fur baby, I will be available for communication 80% of the time. I am more than happy to send updates on how your pet is doing upon request. Anything that makes you and your pets comfortable I am more than happy to do. The less stress there is for you and your fur baby the better! I am here for your needs!! I am extremely excited to be pet sitting again as l did this before I joined the military. I work from 9-5 for the time being until my shift changes but am truly excited to be able to rush home and care for your pets. I will always keep you updated on my schedule being that my hours change every 3 months. I have a dog and a kitten right now and I constantly do research on their diet and behavior and their well being to make sure I am giving them the best possible life that they deserve.

About: I have loved dogs all my life. In the past few years I walked over 100 shelter dogs and took training for nervous and shy dogs. I have also worked with reactive and sensitive dogs, and fostered a few puppies. I enjoy all dogs including high energy and active dogs. I only work part time so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. Most days are devoted to caring for animals around here. I am very conscientious about safety with pets. I have a secure fenced yard at home but always watch the dogs when they are out. My German shepherd Husky mix helped me dog proof the house as well

About: I’ve taken care of all different types of pets in all stages of life since I was 8 years old. I grew up with dogs, cats, turtles, birds, and hamsters in my household so I know how to handle a variety of situations. I’m currently on break from school and I work part time so I am available on weekdays and morning/afternoons on the weekend. My schedule can be adjusted so feel free to reach out and we can work something out for your pet care needs. I live in a gated apartment complex with two fenced patios in my unit. We share numerous outdoor lawn areas for pets, but I will always keep your pet leashed when outside for safety and security. When caring for your pet in your home, I will ensure your pet is given attention and love along with their proper everyday care. I am respectful of other peoples homes and will make sure it stays as a safe place for your pet.

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, from beagles to Akita’s, shitzus to lab/Great Dane mixes. We have a Morkie and a Pit/Weimaraner mix who love having doggy play dates! I work remotely, so your pup can lounge with me in my office on the guest bed or dog beds, or can hang out outside in the large fenced in yard. I live in a home with a large fenced in yard, so they have the option to hang out inside or out throughout the day. My bigger dog really enjoys being outside and my smaller likes to be near me all the time so only likes to go out for potty breaks during the day.

About: I have worked in veterinary Kennels and in shelters. I am also a certified Dog and Cat trainer through Animal Behavior College in 2013. I have been trained in animal first aide. I have a military I.D. so I can also care for military families as well! I come home on my lunch break to let the dogs run in the yard (we NEVER leave the dogs outside on their own for safety from hawks etc). The longest they are alone is 5 hours. Our live revolve around our own dogs so they will feel like one of the family in no time. We have a fenced .75 acre yard that we stay out with them for safety. Older pups will be carried on any stairs to prevent any falls. Kenneling is a part of our home for safety. But if we are home they are out. The dogs have their own room where they kennel that has safety film on the windows so they can benefit from the light but are not tormented by the squirrels in the trees. Cats are kept in their own area as well. I know how important your dog is and I will treat them the way I would want mine treated. With the exception of errands and taking kids to school I am home full time. We treat visitors as one of the pack. Often our visiting pups like to lounge on the couch when not supervised in the yard. I have a fenced yard and dogs are not left outside unattended (especially the little ones). We have a multi layered floor plan so if a dog needs to be alone for a bit we have the ability to do so.

About: I have owned dogs my whole life. Trust me when I say I will treat your dog like they are my own and I treat mine like they are apart of my family. I have dog sat for several family members and friends. I absolutely love dogs and dogs do love me too! I am actually called the dog whisperer amongst my friends. I know how it feels to have to let someone else take care of your baby or best friend (dog) and how worried you might be, but trust me I will take great care of your dog. You could even say that I treat dog sitting like baby sitting because your dog deserves the best care just like a baby does. I am very loving, respectful, and trustworthy. I guarantee you will be satisfied with how your dog has been treated and taken care of. I’m a new mom trying to get myself out and about again doing something I love in addition to caring for my baby, so I will have plenty of time to play and take care of your fur babies! I will try to make sure your fur babies are as comfortable as possible during every visit. I not only want to provide a safe and trusting environment for your pet, but I want to build a relationship with your fur babies as their babysitter and friend. I want your pets to enjoy my presence as much as I know I will enjoy theirs and make each visit a positive experience.

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats for 20+ years! Animals are typically very comfortable in my presence and warm to me quickly. I am comfortable with caretaking for senior pets (my cat that recently passed lived to 16 years old) and with the needs and training for new puppies. I am self-employed and create my own work schedule, so with a day or two notice, I can typically work your needs in! My job requires me to be out in the car often, so I am happy to stop in and check on your pets. Please note that in the evenings and weekends, my son may join me. He really enjoys helping. If your pet does not like children, just let me know in the booking request. I have a fenced in yard at home. At your home, I will take the utmost caution to make sure your fur babies are safe and comfortable and respect any guidelines you provide.

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for friends and family members over the last 9 years. I love to cuddle and give animals attention! I am a reliable person to feed, walk, and take care of your fur babies. I volunteered at Wayside Waifs for 3 years during undergrad, taking care of both dogs and cats. I work full time during the week, but have nights and weekends off. My husband works from home and can help as needed! We have a dog, Raven, who we must work into the routine! She is sweet and playful and loves to play with other dogs. Safety is a top-priority when watching someone else's animal. I do my best to follow the animals routine, including crating, potty breaks, and feeding schedules. I do my best to keep them comfortable and keep their routine. FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Maltby

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 681 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Maltby. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Maltby commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 681 sitters in Maltby, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
