“Darling young sitters who took great care of our Sandy. She was very comfortable with them and they sent quite a few pictures to put our minds at ease. It was super convenient since we had an appointment at Stanford Medical Center and they live right on Stanford campus.”

“Best sitter we've ever encountered for our dog with many needs for her happiness. Well she came home so happy and better yet tired from all the walks which takes a lot. He kept sending us photos of her so we knew she was having a great time. He really understood our dog for not only the needs but her wants. So lucky to have found him.”
“Odin had a great time, settled right in with the pack. Edward and Elisha are very communicative and provide lots of photos, they have been great to work with. Odin will definitely be going back for more fun!”

“Our puppy had such a great time with Ying! She was super attentive to all our puppy’s needs and sent lots of pictures. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. Her dog has also been a great playmate for our puppy, so they get lots of energy out too.”

About: I cared for my own dog for 8 years, which gave me a strong foundation in daily routines, exercise, feeding, and understanding a dog’s behavior and needs at different stages of life. I’m especially attentive to each pet’s individual personality—whether they’re energetic and playful or more shy and reserved. I’m patient, calm, and detail-oriented, which helps pets feel comfortable and safe. I’m also very reliable and will follow your instructions closely, whether that includes specific feeding schedules, medications, or preferred walking routines. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I take the time to make sure each pet gets the attention, care, and affection they deserve while you’re away. My goal is always to make the experience as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet. I recently graduated from UC San Diego and am currently back home while searching for my first full-time role, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and extended visits, and I can easily accommodate different routines and timing needs. Whether your pet needs consistent daily care or more last-minute support, I’m happy to be flexible. Because of my availability, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and not rush visits, ensuring they feel comfortable and well cared for. I always focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely and do my best to keep your pet’s routine consistent, since that helps them feel secure and at ease. I’m attentive during visits and make sure pets are safe at all times, including keeping doors and gates secure, watching for anything unusual in their behavior, and providing updates so you know how they’re doing. I’m also patient and respectful of each pet’s personality and boundaries. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or anxious, I want them to feel comfortable, cared for, and well looked after while you’re away.
“Angela and Kangwoong are real dog lovers. Xico came back home very alert and excited. It is wonderful to have a family with kids share their precious time with Xico.”

About: I love taking care of dogs! I've grown up with dogs my whole life (1 Maltipoo, 2 Shih-Tzus, 1 Aussie Doodle, and 1 Poodle), each of which has had a distinct personality. I also have experience dog-sitting for larger dogs in the area, including Golden Retrievers and Black Labs. My family's current pets are quite needy, so I am used to frequent walking and particular routines. However, I'm also happy with a more relaxed dog. Over the summer, I will be working about 5 hrs/week in person and 10 hrs/week remotely. I am very flexible for dog walking, including in the morning and the evening. I live in a 2BR/2BA apartment building on Stanford campus. The building is very new. It is surrounded by several fields and playgrounds, so there is plenty of space for dogs to be walked. I have no personal pets.
“Great service from Michael! Potter had a good time with Chloe and some other pet friends! Michael took well take care of him today and took him for a walk. Michael made sure he had a good time and that he had some fun with his friends. I will definitely use his services again ☺️😉😁”

About: Dogs and cats have been a meaningful part of my life for the past 18 years, and caring for them has taught me how much love, patience, and trust goes into pet care. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who will truly pay attention and treat them with kindness. What sets me apart is that I’m very detail-oriented and empathetic. I notice small changes in behavior, energy, appetite, or mood, and I adjust based on what each pet needs. I’m especially comfortable with senior pets and pets who need a calm, gentle approach. I can also help reinforce basic routines like feeding schedules, leash manners, and calm behavior. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved. Here’s a good way to phrase it: I’m currently between full-time roles, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and consistent care, and I can usually accommodate mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Because my schedule is open, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, stick closely to their routines, and be reliable for last-minute or recurring bookings. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. In my home or a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, medications, and any house rules. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I always pay attention to the pet’s behavior and comfort level. I keep the environment calm, clean, and low-stress, especially for senior dogs or pets who need extra patience. I’ll also provide updates so owners know their pet is safe, cared for, and happy.
“Crystal is the best! She is very responsive and informative, and welcomed us warmly. Thank you for taking such good care of Hilo, providing updates, and sending pictures. You've earned our full trust!”

“Courtney took such great care of Otto! She sent me lots of pictures throughout the day and even gave him a bath for me! He came come squeaky clean, happy, and tired.”

About: I grew up in a home with multiple pets, including dogs and cats, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. My daughter has been asking for a dog, and while we’re not ready for our own just yet, we truly enjoy welcoming visiting pups into our home and treating them like family 🐕💛 I work from home full-time, which means your dog will have constant supervision and plenty of attention throughout the day. We enjoy daily walks 🐾, playtime 🎾, and lots of cuddles, while always respecting each dog’s unique personality and comfort level. I’m attentive, patient, and happy to follow your dog’s routine closely — whether that’s feeding schedules, special diets, walk preferences, or exercise needs. My goal is to make your dog feel happy and at home while you’re away.
“Thank you Kimberly for taking care of Basil! Kimberly was quick to respond, asked questions and sent lots of updates. Basil enjoyed her walks with Kimberly and I appreciated peace of mind knowing that my dog was being tended to while I was at work.”

“Jessica was fantastic with Ollie! She took great care of him even though he wasn’t feeling well and had intricate care instructions. She is very punctual and communicative. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: I grew up with the sweetest Shih Tzu in the world named Dak (a small computer chip). And I think my style of pet care came from taking care of him. I was attentive and gave him lots of love. He loved driving in the car with me, actually :) I have been pet sitting for friends and on other platforms for over 5 years in their homes. And I took care of a neighbor's bird way back in high school. For the most part I have specialized in cats and small to medium dogs. I also have a calm spirit that many animals are drawn to. So we can chill together for a long time. In addition, I'm responsible and respectful, caring and considerate not only for pets but also for owner's homes. I am able to communicate well and clearly and can problem solve to resolve any situation which might arise. In short, I have the know-how to be able to feed, entertain, clean up after, and love cats and dogs and their living spaces. And I can communicate well to their parents to keep them safe and happy while mom and dads are away. I currently work part-time teaching English online. I also am writing my doctoral dissertation. This means I am home a lot and very happy to spend lots of time with pets, even at my desk with me or curled up on the sofa. I strictly watch pets in their own homes. Firstly, because I am missionary and I've been staying temporarily in my parents house in North Carolina and now here with my brother in Palo Alto. Secondly, because I think pets are much happier if they can stay in their own homes and in familiar surroundings.
“Silvana took incredible care of my very anxious dog. He typically has separation anxiety and takes a while to get use to a new place, but she made him feel comfortable right away. She took him on walks, took him to the park to play with another dog he felt comfortable with, and made sure I was updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. When I went to pick him up he gave her kisses goodbye :) We absolutely will re-book with Silvana. Thank you, Silvana, for taking such great care of Jackson!”

Barron Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had a late-night, last minute need for a sitter for our 9-week old puppy. Crystal immediately and enthusiastically responded and the whole experience could not have been smoother. It was obvious our puppy received excellent care and lots of affection. Thank you Crystal!

I was nervous leaving my sweet but fearful GSD with anyone. Ying was very comfortable with Anderson. She sent me many updates, pictures and videos. Anderson played well with her GSD and Anderson slept for at least 90 minutes after we picked him up. He is an adolescent with a ton of energy so that was great! He’s going to be so excited to see Ying and Charlie again!

Mel and his two kids took care of our dog for three days, brought her on a hike, sent us lots of pictures, and clearly made sure she was happy and well cared for the whole time. When she came home, she looked exhausted from all the fun she had, and honestly seemed like she missed them :) Would definitely recommend

Teilyn and her wife are absolutely wonderful sweet people and I was so happy to find them on Rover. They have such a lovely backyard area for pups and were great with my 5 month old husky puppy, Yermo. And their two little Chinese Cresteds are awesome! Yermo came home absolutely wiped out (a godsend) and I got check-ins and photos of him helping with gardening and also out at his first protest (so proud). Really thankful for the new experiences and socialization for my puppy and to find great pup sitters.

Anna was great. She responded to my request for daycare right away and was always texting back promptly. My puppy is 6 months old, he is chewing on everything. Anna played with him and gave him lots of toys. She also took him on a nice walk and played fetch with him. Anna has a great house with a fenced yard. Anna also made a lot of nice pictures of my puppy with the toys and the ball. I highly recommend Anna for puppy care. Thank you Anna!

Sjofn is always excited to get to see Guilherme! I’m always thrilled to know she is safe and happy. Guilherme is also great about communicating before and during her stay so I know exactly when to expect him and he’s great about picking her up to. To put my mind at ease he sends plenty of pictures of her having a good time. I admit as a service dog she can be a bit nervous about being left with other people but she is never nervous about staying with Guilherme and Edina. I highly recommend him for any care your pet needs
