About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. I also don’t mind if they snuggle next to me on the bed or if they want to relax on the couch.

About: Fostered a dog for 2 months and provided her with a loving, warm home. Previous dog sitting that included long term (2 weeks) and short term (a couple of hours). I try my best to have a stress free environment where the dog can be comfortable and loved. I work from home full time so can be readily available to give them company and attention. I also live in a very dog friendly neighborhood with lots of walking trails and paths, ready for them to explore! I try my best to care for other pets as if they are my own. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and I’m a real dog lover. I understand dogs and, more importantly, I understand that every dog is different. They all have their own personalities, habits, likes and dislikes. I’ve always had a natural connection with dogs. Dogs tend to like me and are usually very comfortable and calm around me. I enjoy getting to know them and figuring out what makes each one happy and comfortable. I know how important it is to trust the person taking care of your dog. I’ll take care of yours the same way I’d want someone to take care of mine. I do consulting work primarily from home and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m around most of the day. I can easily work around your dog’s normal routine for walks, feeding, playtime or just hanging out. They won’t be left alone for long stretches of the day. I want your dog to feel comfortable and at home with me. I’ll follow whatever routine and instructions you give me, including feeding, walks, medications, sleeping arrangements or anything else they’re used to. I pay attention to dogs and their behavior, and I’m not going to force a dog into something they’re uncomfortable with. My goal is pretty simple - keep them safe, happy and relaxed while you’re away.

About: Beginning in childhood, I’ve had several dog breeds (over 20!) that I’ve been tasked to take care of, play with, keep healthy and whose needs I’ve grown to pay attention to and understand. I adore animals and I approach them gently and mindfully, always considering what support will help prolong their lifespan and keep them happy, yet trained and behaved. My friends and family often call on me to either keep their pets company, train or housesit them, and I’m always more than happy to spend time with their animals. I firmly believe pets are not toys, and much more like our own kids, deserving of care, compassion, joy and attention. I have 17+ years experience taking care of and loving French bulldogs and pugs, who notoriously require extra responsibility, attention and instruction, as they can be stubborn and prone to health and breathing issues (often brought on by heat). I have cared for senior dogs who deserve nothing but love towards the end of their lives, and also puppies who need time spent on training and feeling safe, and lots of play and activity to stimulate their growing minds. I am a graduate student, with flexible availability between Saturday to Tuesday, during my off days, when I’ll be studying from home, often lounging and relaxing in my space. Having a pet to look after, feed and care for would not only be a very welcomed time commitment, but would make my space feel even more homely and bring me joy. I have enough time to play with dogs, pay attention to their unique needs and keep them active and joyful, or to simply accompany them while they rest and rejuvenate. I have a spacious apartment and a shaded dog park within my apartment community, as well as a dog wash corner next to the park - helpful during hot days in Florida. I am extremely mindful towards any pet staying with me, and provide them with a comfortable, safe and cooled space, in which I am committed to staying aware of their habits, likes and dislikes, and learning to understand their groove. There are several areas for them to use the bathroom outside, take a walk within the apartment community, as well as designated pee pads inside the apartment. I am happy to be in touch with the clients as often as needed, to help them feel at ease about letting their little one stay with someone new. I care about building trust with a dog, and taking the time to grow our bond, so they can be at ease in their surroundings and reduce any anxiety from a new environment.
