We hired Anthea to care for our two pups (one a young very timid yet somehow still energetic yorkie mix rescue pup, the other a geriatric parsons Russell terrier who is dealing with some doggie dementia), and she was incredible. Met both dogs where they were were at and went above and beyond in the care for the pups and the care for our home. Gave our pups lots of attention, exercise, and love; gave us detailed updates and lots of photos on how the pups were doing; and we retuned to a home in better condition than it was when we left for the weekend! Our two dogs were super happy and clearly very comfortable and well taken care of when we got home. He followed all instructions and even our smaller dog who can be shy and afraid of new people became his shadow and played with him the whole time we were gone. About: I have always loved dogs. I grew up with a black lab (age 5-18), and when I was in high school I frequently watched dogs and cats in a pet sitting capacity. Pet sitting for neighbors and friends was my first job, and as soon as I got my drivers license, I expanded my pet sitting clientele. As an adult, my husband and I had a rescue dog (Pitt/lab mix) who was our fur baby. When we adopted her, she had separation anxiety and resource guarding issues. We worked with a trainer to help her overcome those issues, and were grateful for the wonderful years we enjoyed with her. Unfortunately, she died in early 2025. While we are not in a position to have our own dog right now, we would love to continue to snuggle and support local dogs through pet sitting. We do have a toddler at home. She loves dogs and we would never leave her unattended with any animal. While we will be careful to ensure any dogs in our care are set up for success by being separated from our toddler with baby gates, etc., we are only able to host dogs who are comfortable around small children. I am a middle school teacher, so I have full-time availability during school breaks and the summer. I am also available to drop in before and/or after my work, depending on the location. My husband, Cristopher, works from home and loves having a dog as his co-worker to be let out on demand. As dog owners, we never left our own dog home alone for more than 4-5 hours, and we will only accept a boarding booking if our schedule allows the same time commitment to your dog. We treat all dogs like they are our own. As a former pet parent, I know that I can never replace you, but I will do everything I can to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe in my care. We have a fenced yard with no animals in our home (except for the occasional wild bunny). Our yard has plenty of space for dogs to run around and play.

About: I grew up taking care of 3 dogs in my own household, all living to ages 11, 10, and 14 years old. I have experience in agility training and have helped my Uncle train Malinois, some who are K9 certified. I have dog and cat sat(including overnight) for neighbors, family, and friends. I have experience training basic tricks to puppies and taking care of them. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I’ve also taken care of bigger animals such as horses! I have free time to hangout and take care of your pet! I am able to stay overnight, check in, and am available every day of the week! I will follow your household instructions and take care of your dog or cat like it is my own, I will make sure to keep them protected and safe.
