“Jason was wonderful!! Our first time with him and we are very happy! He made friends with our babies in no time, and had a lot of patience with the shy ones ? Thanks Jason for this great experience!”

“Julianna did a great job checking on our cat for us! She was great at communicating how she was doing and patient with our cat that is a bit slow to warm up to strangers. I loved the pictures and could see my cat getting more comfortable with her throughout the visits! We would definitely recommend Julianna for cat sitting to others!”

“Teffni took amazing care of my cats over a long week. She sent lots of pictures and she even got my shy girl to make an appearance or two! I would definitely call on Teffni again in the future. :)”

“Marion is absolutely wonderful. She is always quick to respond, takes amazing care of my Luna Tuna, and clearly has a genuine love for what she does. As a bonus, she even loves plants. I could not recommend her more.”

“Judson is the best catsitter we’ve had. He’s attentive, caring, and consistent. He gets on the floor with the cats and interacts with them and plays with their toys. Our cats are a bit spastic and weird about strangers but they warmed up to Judson quickly which is always a great sign. He sent us multiple pictures every day of the cats along with a note about how they were doing. Choosing a random person on an app is nerve wracking and stressful because you’re putting all your trust in them to not only take care of your animals but also be in your home. Judson is trustworthy and respectful, but he also has a great sense of humor! I would recommend him again and again.”

“Anton was a fantastic communicator and took my stress away about leaving my kitties. I left for 4 days and have 6 cats and he was fantastic. His picture updates were cute & he went above and beyond to play with them and feed them their wet food. Highly recommend him for any of your animal needs.”

“Teresa was an excellent pet sitter for our dog (Luna)! She sent detailed notes, pictures, updates through the days she was pet sitting. She also responded to our questions quickly and made sure Luna felt comfortable.”

“Hazel has been great help for our busy family and taking care of Max our fur baby. Super punctual and flexible and communicative. Max sure enjoys his walks with her. Thank you Hazel 🙏🏻”

“Vanessa did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Sol! She was attentive, reliable, and made sure Sol was happy and well-cared for while I was away. I loved the updates and could tell Sol was in great hands. Highly recommend Vanessa for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”
“Rebecca did great with our cats! She was so patient and kind with our shy kitty who also needs medicine, and was able to troubleshoot administration when things didn't go exactly to plan. Our girls will be excited to see her again in the future ❤️”

About: I have dogs of my own that I take on daily walks. I have two husky’s (11 and 6 yrs) and a pitbull I had for 13.5 yrs (she crossed the rainbow bridge). I enjoy going out for walks because I know it’s a dogs favorite time of the day. I’ve taken my friends and family’s dogs on walks while they’ve been out of town. I’m looking to walk dogs in the evening when I go for my afternoon walks around the neighborhood. There are times where I may have availability during the day as well. I’m flexible and will do my best to fit you into my schedule. I love dogs and I treat all dog as if they are my own. I’ll make sure to make them feel comfortable with me and give them the attention they need.
About: 15 years of own pet care experience. I have cared for pets and volunteered on animal shelters before. I own a frenchie boy who is very calm , never barks and loves to eat. If needed on a case by case basis I can arrange to have your baby in my care alone :) Loved animals since little. I will love your pet like its my own. I’m a civil engineer with a frenchie pup working from home! Dog-walking or pet sitting will be a smooth addition to my daily routine that your pup and I will enjoy! Meet and greets needed for dog sitting. Will send you photos or text to let you know how your pet is doing! Please let me know of any fears your pup has. I typically let my dog sleep my couch or bed but will ask for permission first.
About: I have always loved being around dogs and being able to make sure their needs are met completely. Although I have only owned one dog I have been around different dogs from a young age. I trained my own dog as a puppy but I have family who have owned pit bulls, cane corsos, husky’s, etc. Animals and dogs have become a passion of mine and making sure they are living the best life they possibly can. I’m currently a bio major college student with completely open weekend times along with some weekday times. Tuesdays after 2:30 pm, Thursdays between 7 am to 10 am and after 2:30 PM, and Fridays starting at 11 AM. I understand the responsibility of the job and meeting your pets needs along with keeping them safe will always be the top priority. I also understand how hard it is to trust someone with your pet so I will also take pictures and videos to help making you feel comfortable while your away. Throughout my time I will make sure the pets feel as safe as possible and make sure they are getting the proper attention, care, and supervision.
“Arian filled in last minute for a Rover sitter who never showed up. She was professional and reassuringly consistent. She communicated everyday and, when she had questions. She also sent pictures that let me know our older, finicky cats were in capable, caring hands. I would hire her again in a hot minute.”

About: I have experience with both cats and dogs, mostly in my personal life. I took two of my pups through levels 1 and 2 puppy training classes, which gave me sime insights on how dogs respond to us as humans. I can administer medications as prescribed if needed. I have no preference, big or small, woof or meow. I love them all. Please let me know what you need and we can make a plan to take care of your lovies. My schedule is often flexible for drop-ins and I can also do most holidays. I'm happy to take your fur baby for a walk or just snuggle and brush them. I can also serve their treats and entertain with their favorite toys. You decide what best serves your pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Aspen Hill
I highly recommend Courtney! She watched my two cats, Eddie and Annie, from September 4 to September 8, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in her care. She was reliable, attentive, and thoughtful, and it was clear that Eddie and Annie were well looked after while I was away. I really appreciated her care and would gladly ask her to cat-sit again.

Rae is truly amazing! I always struggle to leave my babies with someone whom I don’t know but Rae made that so easy. She was so patient with our cats, not only gave them food but also played and spend additional time with the cats. That really demonstrates that Rae adores pets. She is extremely easy to work with and very flexible. When we came back everything was so clean! Huge thanks!!

Hudson has watched our 2 cats twice now and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention he gives them. He makes sure they get their pets and play time while we’re away, and sends great pics and updates. He’s responsive, proactive if there’s a slight achedule change, and just a pleasure to work with. I hope he’s available the next time we’re away!

Rebecca is amazing!! I was in a pinch to find someone to care for our kitty and she responded immediately to my request and even fit in a meet and greet on short notice too! She was so thorough in her care and her write-ups about our cat! I wasn't anxious at all while we were away knowing he was in really good hands with her. Thank you so much, Rebecca!

Scott was great at checking in on both our dog and cat! He was a very reliable dog walker, and we greatly appreciated his check-ins and walks with our dog, Ashton, throughout the weekend. I would definitely recommend Scott and will certainly be requesting his services again in the future!

I had a great experience with Melissa! She was on time, very careful, and clearly genuinely cared about my cat. She spent plenty of time playing with him and making sure he was comfortable and happy. I really appreciated how attentive and responsible she was, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend her and will happily book with her again!

As always, Michael is a first class caregiver for our cats, and took care of both of them plus our plants while we were away with his usual superb abilities. He he was wonderful to our two cats while we were gone, and they clearly felt very comfortable with him. Every time he came to visit. We have no hesitation recommending him for anyone who wants a terrific pet caregiver!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
