Even though I devoted my education to assisting with the health and care of people, my first love has always truly been with animals. I simply can't imagine life without them! I have successfully fostered multiple dogs through Caitlyn's Vine of Bravery Dog Rescue and Lifeline Animal Shelter. I also have experience with walking dogs and have received many positive reviews including being extra caring! I truly believe a life without animals is not a life at all! Any animal in my care will be treated like my own child. If you need someone to care for your pet while you work or vacation, please give me a try! I work a flexible schedule as I partially work from home running my own business and pick up at the hospital from time to time I live in a townhome with a senior chihuahua and a small fenced in patio. My neighborhood is dog friendly and is nice for walks. Dogs would be with hanging out with me at home or hanging out at a fun park somewhere. When I have to briefly leave, I do prefer either crating or leaving them in my room with water and pads.
“Valerie was amazing with our dog, Guapo! She came by for two days, three times a day, to feed him, let him out, and spend quality time with him. She stayed as close to his regular schedule as possible, which we really appreciated because routine is important for Guapo. She was incredibly patient with him, especially since he’s very suspicious of new people and tends to bark until he realizes they’re friendly. Valerie even took the time to come meet him before her scheduled visits so he could get a little more comfortable with her. When we got home, Guapo was just as happy and content as when we left, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even with my landlord being a bit particular about parking, Valerie maintained excellent communication throughout the entire stay and handled everything professionally. About: I’ve always loved being around animals, and caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy! I’ve worked with dogs of all different sizes, ages, and personalities through working at a dog daycare. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra patience. About: A pup in my care is treated like my own. I typically will take them out and about such as the trail near my home, lots of loving and stern understanding through our time together. I work from home so I have all the time in the world to walk the pup every two hours, feedings through the day and scratches behind the ear often. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
