“Savannah is an absolute gem! She recently took care of our 3 pups and our home while we spent a week at the beach, and she went above and beyond! She made sure we were updated on how the pups were doing and actively looked for ways to help us around our home to make our return so much easier. Our pups were so happy when we came home, we could tell they received so much TLC. Highly recommend!”

“Sivani was a wonderful dog, cat and house sitter for us! She is honest, reliable, conscientious, timely and kind. She’s the type of person to excel at whatever She chooses to do because she wants to do it well. Our dog is pretty high maintenance and needy as he’s a cute little fluff ball and is used to being treated like the baby of the family! She took such good care of him. It was so nice to know he was in good hands while we were enjoying time away with family. We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her!”

“We left for an overnight trip and Emily house sat with our babies. She communicated well, sent great pictures of our pets and left the house clean. We plan on using her again!”

“Jill was amazing! She took such great care of our home and our doodle, Gumbo. He absolutely loved her! About: I have lived with dogs since I was 6 years old. In college, I fostered dogs with my roommates. Neighbors, friends and families have either relied on me or hired me to take care of their dogs in different fashions since I was 13. I am a returned Peace Corps volunteer who just returned from 27 months spent teaching English in México. I am an elementary school teacher, but due to the timing of my return, I will not be returning to the classroom until August of 2027. As such, I have wide open days and nights. My service will vary on my client's needs and expectations. If the expectation is multiple daily walks, there will be multiple daily walks. If the expectation is crating, there will be crating. If the expectation is belly rubs to fall asleep, then belly rubs will be given. Each home and each pet comes with its specific set of requirements, and no one knows those better than the client themselves.

About: I’ve had a dog my whole life from babies to full grown adults! We play, go on walks and hikes. Also always room for cuddles! I work from home most of the time, unless I am out on an appointment. My dog is usually roaming free and when I’m away, he is in the kennel. I live in an apartment home that has a dog park and a park less than two minutes away from me for a bigger and better environment to play.

My wife, Léy, will usually partner very close with me to meet your pets needs, so you may very well see her around or at the meet & greet. She’s a veterinary assistant so she’s very attentive! She has also trained our daughter in animal awareness, safety & control, & together, caring for animals truly enriches our family experience. Please know that your pet will always be safe & with multiple eyes & experienced, helping hands on them. We also have experience with senior pets, pets requiring medications & injections, wound care, specialized diets, and animals needing extra patience and attention, including supporting dogs in labor through to delivery. We customize routines & enrichment around each animal & follow your instructions closely, while maintaining any training or structure you’ve already established. I’m naturally calm, nurturing, playful, energetic, & highly attentive. “Aaliya was amazing from start to finish. Before our trip, she took the time to come meet us and June so we could make sure everyone was comfortable, and right away we could see how much she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. We were away for over a week, and having Aaliya stay with June gave us so much peace of mind. She kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos, took June on walks, and stayed in touch with us throughout the entire trip. It was clear that June was well cared for and loved while we were gone. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we would absolutely choose Aaliya again to watch June in the future. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Alison is awesome! This was our first time using Rover. We have 2 big dogs that are high energy. During our meet-and-greet, we could tell Alison was comfortable with their size and energy. She answered all of our questions and we felt good making the decision to choose her as our sitter. We came home to happy pups and our home was just as we left it. Will definitely book Alison again!”

“We had to find a new sitter on a last minute notice and we are so happy we found Lydia because she was amazing! She took amazing care of our boys, followed instructions, and was in constant communication with us. Could not recommend her more and we will be using her in the future :)”

“Hannah is amazing! She is very communicative and put all of our crew at easy. She sends plenty of updates and pictures of our doofuses chilling and playing and even some funny face candids. Would 100% recommend for dogs AND cats...because we have plenty of both and she takes good care of them.”

Lizette was so caring and kind with our elderly Chihuahua and our precious cat. We were so very pleased with the attention she gave to them, including administering a powdered medication to our dog. Excellent communication and was on time with all of the visits (door code gave updates)

She’s the type of person to excel at whatever She chooses to do because she wants to do it well. Our dog is pretty high maintenance and needy as he’s a cute little fluff ball and is used to being treated like the baby of the family! She took such good care of him. I believe this was our 5th time booking Carson to housesit. He always takes such great care of our home & dog. Our dog had somewhat of a medical situation, and Carson was quick to call an emergency vet & contact me to ensure my pup got the support she needed. So grateful to have someone that I trust completely with my dog, so we can travel knowing she is well taken care of.

Jill was absolutely wonderful! She stayed in our home for three weeks and took excellent care of our dogs. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups and a house that was just as we left it. Jill was reliable, communicative, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We would happily have her stay with our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Joe did an excellent job dogsitting Sky. He was very attentive and kept in contact with me the entire day. He also sent me photos throughout his stay and let me know how Sky was doing each day. He’s a very caring and loving dog sitter who will treat your pet as his own.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost of House Sitting in Arrowind is $32 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $28 and $43 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.
As of November 2026, there are 4,826 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Arrowind. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arrowind walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arrowind maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arrowind choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
