About: I’m a big animal lover and I’ve taken care of dogs for a little bit now. I have 3 dogs of my own who I love dearly. I am currently a university student so time is very valuable. I am free on the weekends and sometimes in between the weekdays as well. I am able to help keep your pet inside of your home, as well as keep them in your backyard. I will follow any specific way you would want me to put the pet away.
About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years, including my own pets as well as pets for neighbors and friends. As an RN, I’m very attentive, dependable, and detail-oriented, which helps me provide safe and compassionate care for every pet. I understand the importance of routines, patience, and making pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with senior pets, administering basic medications if needed, and providing regular updates and communication to owners. I provide a calm, caring environment and treat every pet with love, attention, and respect. et care fits very naturally into my routine because I enjoy staying active, organized, and dependable. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend care depending on the client’s needs. I’m reliable with routines, feeding schedules, walks, litter care, playtime, medications if needed, and regular communication with pet owners. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. As an RN, I’m attentive, calm, and detail-oriented, which helps me provide responsible care in both my home and clients’ homes. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking routines, and household preferences. I also make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away. I respect clients’ homes, maintain cleanliness, and provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
About: I’ve taken care of pets for neighbors, friends, and family for about 10 years and have been taking care of my own pets for longer! I was recently a veterinary assistant for 2 years and have gained tons of experience in animal behavior and care for cats, dogs, and other animals ranging from less than 1 lb to 120+ lbs. I’ve cared for cats and dogs at all stages of their lives and will be able to administer medications and accommodate your pet’s regular schedule to keep them healthy and happy. I love taking care of people’s pets and have missed it since I haven’t been working, so I’d love to take care of yours! I’m not currently working so I will have plenty of time to look after your pets and make sure they’re well taken care of and feeling comfortable! I’ve been home relaxing with my pets and would love to get out of the house to spend some time with yours as well! I have a lot of experience with animal behavior and specifically scared or untrusting pets as most of them don’t like going to the vet’s office, and am able to build trust by reading their body language and adjusting things to make them feel safer. Once a pet is more comfortable they’re open to treats, cuddles, playtime, and the fun starts! I always make sure to build trust with pets first before trying to do anything, and would be able to meet with your pet prior to the service if that would be best! Your pets will be treated with love and care like they are my own!

About: I work/ have been working at a doggy daycare for over a year now, and I’ve been near dogs my whole life. I really enjoy spending time with dogs and would love the chance to spend time with your pup! I’m currently working part time, so I have lots of time to spend with your baby. We will have so much fun together! No matter what type of dog you have i promise we will have a great time 😁 I am a very active sitter, we will mostly spend the day playing with toys (until hes tired) then we’ll eat and watch a show, obviously taking potty breaks when needed.
“Nika was amazing. She stayed at our home for over a week and took great care of our two dogs. She was responsive the entire time and gave us updates that helped us relax while we were away. We came home to happy dogs and a house that was spotless. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Highly recommend.”

“Marissa did an amazing job! We adopted a puppy w/ severe trauma background who is afraid of everyone, who’d never been left alone w/ anyone before. He’s never let anyone near him before. Marisa’s patience and skill w dogs with a traumatic past enabled her to break through his fears and by the end of the day my sweet dog was cuddling with her! It was truly amazing. I highly recommend Marissa.”

“Griselle was great with our two senior dogs they seemed to be comfortable with her. She sent updates and pictures of them and lets us know how they were eating which is always a problem when we leave but they seemed to do pretty well with Griselle.”

“Elle was terrific! We needed care for our 2 dogs while we were gone to wedding. She came over and met us and the dogs ahead of time. The dogs loved her right off. She has a caring personality and they loved that... One of our dogs is a senior diabetic that needs shots. Elly was more than willing to handle that as well as the pills they needed. She sent lots of pictures and notes about how it was going. Everything went well and we plan to request her in the near future. So glad to have someone that we trust with their care.”

I have a big house with a large gated fence, and my roommate has a friendly dog that can either relax outside or indoors with your pet .
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the personalized care and attention I provide to each pet as if they were my own. I take the time to understand their routines, personalities, and specific needs whether it’s a high energy puppy needing training reinforcement, or a senior dog requiring medication, mobility assistance, or extra patience. Above all, I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and truly passionate about animals. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and at ease while you’re away. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily routine. I build my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care whether that means early morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening feedings and cuddle time. I’m organized and flexible, which allows me to provide consistent, on-time care every day. I make sure pets get: • Daily exercise suited to their energy level • Mental stimulation through play, training reinforcement, or enrichment activities • Health check ins like monitoring for any changes in appetite, mood, or behavior • Emotional connection, giving them the affection and attention they need to feel secure Whether I’m caring for pets full time or alongside other responsibilities, I treat it as a top priority because I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s hands. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, routine, and comfort. I tailor my approach based on the pet’s individual needs, personality, and any instructions you provide because every animal is different, and I respect that. In Your Home: • I treat your space with the utmost respect and professionalism. • I maintain your pet’s routine exactly as you’ve outlined, from meals and walks to medication or crate time. • I keep your home tidy—cleaning up after pets, taking out trash, watering plants if needed, and leaving things as I found them. • I also offer regular updates with photos and notes so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and cared for. My goal is to make your pet feel loved and secure, whether they’re in their own environment or mine.

About: I'm Brittany, I have worked professionally with dogs for about 8 years. I started out working at a daycare and boarding facility, providing all sorts of services to pet owners and more recently 5+ years with a mobile dog grooming business. I've worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I am confident there are no dogs I cannot handle. I have a lot of knowledge of dog behavior and cues that will allow us to be safe at all times. For now I am committing my extra time to caring for others’ dogs while I pay my way through school. I have lots of energy and stamina to go on long walks as well as short ones, depending on your dog's needs. And I’m excited for the opportunity to meet some more friendly faces! I'm currently going back to school but I have a lot of down time as well. I would love to spend some of it with your pets! I cannot house any pets in my own home but am more than capable of coming to yours to either watch your dog throughout the day or take them out for some fresh air.
About: I have had four dogs in my life and am familiar with caring for them by providing ample love, ensuring they are well-fed, and giving them access to water. I also dedicate plenty of time to taking them for walks. I am currently working from home. I enjoy taking breaks during the day to go for a walk and am available for boarding at any time to share more love with my family members. I have empty space in my house where dogs can relax on the couch and have plenty of room to walk around. When they go to the bathroom outside, they will be leashed.
About: I've grown up caring for high maintenance dogs (Australian/German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies) so I know the game when it comes to wearing them out, stubbornness, positive reinforcement, hair etc.. Grew up with cats as well, so no discrimination over here. Currently very flexible with my time, which allows me to be available when needed. Can easily adjust my schedule to accommodate drop-ins, walks, extended stays, and last minute care requests. I have a spacious, calm home with a large enclosed backyard surrounded by walls for safety. I currently have no pets, so your dog will get my full attention in a comfortable, low stress environment.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arcilla walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arcilla maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arcilla choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arcilla. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
