“Air was so great!! Bubba can be aggressive, depending on how you approach him, and he immediately ran up to her and gave her a kiss 🥹 He won’t do a lot of things while I’m gone, but she got him to go outside, potty, fetch, and eat cheese - things he wouldn’t even do for my family off the bat. I appreciated the updates throughout the day, as well as the pictures. This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad that I chose Air to watch Bubba while I was visiting for a wedding 🩷 I would ABSOLUTELY rebook if I lived there!!”

“I’m so grateful Casey was available for a last minute booking when our sitter had an emergency. She took great care of our dogs and sent photos and updates on how they were doing. She paid attention to our instructions and left our home in perfect shape. We would definitely book Casey again.”

“Shakira did a great job watching all three of our dogs! She was attentive and very good at communication, we definitely would have her watch our dogs again. Highly recommend!”

“Can’t say enough good things about Arica. She’s watched our 3 dogs many times and most recently one of them had an ear emergency that she flagged and took him to the vet while we traveled home. He had surgery and she even brought him a gift while he recovered. She’s the best!”

About: I recently cared for a new born American Pit Bull Terrier, and 16 year old black American shorthair cat. The experience/care for both animals has helped me understand and appreciate a pet owners everyday task. There is so much sacrifice, dedication, and love that animals need on a daily basis. I would like to alleviate the daily stress that some pet owners may encounter while trying to juggle life, work, and caring for their animals. I have recently been laid off due to covid-19 pandemic. I now have an open schedule, please send me all your fur request. I cant wait to meet them! I care for animals in the same way I care for humans. Animals feel and think in similar ways that we do. Knowing and understanding a animals personality will only make my care for them more enjoyable.
About: My love for animals started long before I began pet sitting. I grew up in a home filled with all kinds of pets ranging from cats and dogs to rabbits and aquatic creatures so caring for pets is second nature to me. Over time, I’ve specialized in caring for both cats and dogs, and I’m comfortable with everything from high energy walks to gentle senior care. Whether your pup needs a long stroll, or your cat needs a quiet feeding routine, I’m up for all tasks. I treasure each and every pet, and I am more than happy to be adaptive and attentive to their unique quirks and needs. Up until August 7th, I have fully open availability so I'm ready to accommodate last minute bookings, daily walks, or extended stays whenever you need me. After August 7th, I'll be available for any drop ins, walks, and feedings starting at 4:00 PM on weekdays. Weekends will be full availability along with overnight stays on Friday and Saturday nights. I always keep my calendar updated and organized, so feel free to reach out and I'll let you know right away if your dates work. I'm committed to being reliable and punctual, so you can count on me to show up when you and your pets need me. At the current moment, my home is not available for any services. As for any client's home, my goal is to give you complete peace of mind so you can relax while knowing your pets and your home is in capable and careful hands. Some ways I ensure safety and trust are but not limited to: - Meet and greet first: If wished for, I am more than happy to schedule a quick visit beforehand to go over routines, restrictions, and any special needs your pet or home may have. - Detail oriented: I keep a checklist for every home whether it's entry codes, alarm systems, pet quirks, or emergency contacts, etc. - Respect your space: I clean up after myself and your pet, and I will always put in the effort to leave your home looking exactly as I found it.

She has a caring personality and they loved that... One of our dogs is a senior diabetic that needs shots. Elly was more than willing to handle that as well as the pills they needed. She sent lots of pictures and notes about how it was going. Everything went well and we plan to request her in the near future. So glad to have someone that we trust with their care.”

About: I’ve cared for my neighbors’ and friends’ pets for years! I absolutely love dogs and cats and have a very flexible schedule. I have experience caring for birds, farm animals, rodents, and other pets as well. I’m dependable, attentive, and always happy to give pets plenty of love and attention while their owners are away! I will take instruction on caring for the pet(s) very close to heart and follow all direction as best as I can. For me, I am not just looking after a dog or cat. I am looking after a family member.
“Marissa house sat and dogs sat for us for 3 nights. We really appreciated her ability to adapt. We have a GP who is a rescue. He has become a very sweet and loving dog with us, but we know he can be very territorial, protective and stubborn. He wasn’t easy for her to deal with, but she persevered. When we returned our house was in great shape and she took good care of our boy. We are so glad that we met Marissa. She is willing to come back and deal with our GP and we appreciate that. We will definitely be contacting her again.”

About: Saying that I am an animal lover is putting it mildly to say the least! I've volunteered at pet shelters across the US and I have been caring for cats and dogs my whole life! Right now my husband and I have 2 fur babies of our own and we also use Rover ourselves so we know exactly how it feels to let someone else care for your pet. You can definitely count on me to pamper your little ones. Working from home, our schedules are very open, so I have more than enough time to help you fill in the gaps. We're happy to help train your dog in basic behaviors and tricks as well! We love opening our homes to pets on holidays too so if you're planning a trip over the next holiday, we've got you covered! Because I work from home with my husband we have plenty of spare time for walks, play time and cuddles with your pup! Regular feedings and lots of exercise are no hassle at all! We offer a smoke free environment. We have a fenced in yard so they can really stretch their legs or just do some sunbathing. Your pet will be given full roam of our 2 bedroom home to play, chill and hangout with our friendly poodle Margo. But if you would prefer them to stay in their own designated bedroom at night just let us know. We also allow pets on furniture for a snuggle/nap but if this is an issue for you we are happy to reinforce your rules/training. Treat our place like your own and we will provide a loving environment to make them feel right at home.
“This is the third time Casey has watched our 2 dogs and house for us and we couldn’t be happier. Casey is reliable and friendly and very communicative with us while we are away. We know we are in good hands when Casey watches our dogs.”

About: Of all animals I have the most experience with dogs. I love dogs all shapes and sizes We've always had a dog at home and I have lots of experience, caring for playing with and walking dogs, including bath time. I'm a recent graduate of heritage high school. I took agriculture at school and worked with the animals on our school farm I'm looking to do rover as often as possible. I don't have any other obligations at this time. So I can dedicate myself to your pets. I am very careful about fences and doors. I'm mindful of owner instructions regarding where their pets can be. And where they are not allowed. I am mindful of them while they are eaten. And while they are playing, to make sure that they remain safe. I checked the pavement before I take a dog out on walks to make sure it's not too hot and always make sure to wash their bowls so that I can help prevent bacteria

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 3,974 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mead Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mead Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mead Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mead Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mead Valley. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
