About: I have had dogs, cats and tortoises over the last 25 years. Right now we have 2 dogs Max 13 years old, Roxy is a 10 years old little girl we rescued 5 years ago. I also have 2 african sulcata tortoises 17 years old. Before I had Max & Roxy, I had Brandy (15 Years) & Jordan (14 Years) Labradors both were adopted as puppies from the shelter. Over the last 15 years in our home I have taken care of several of our neighbors dogs and cats. I am just about to retire after 34 years 11 months I can't imaging not working and I was trying to find something I could do from home. This seemed like something I could give a try. Currently I am working from home so I thought this would give me an opportunity to give doggie daycare / boarding a try. I am able to take them out to the yard on a regular basis to run around and potty. We also have a doggie door for easy access if they need to go out more frequently. We have about 1/2 ac completely fenced yard, I have 2 very friendly social dogs. My dogs are mostly inside dogs they can go out anytime the like. My pups are allowed in any and all rooms in our home as well as being on the furniture.
About: I love spending time with animals and I have had pets as long as I can remember. Currently I'm attending school and my schedule fluctuates which makes it hard to spend time with my pets which we treat like kids. My sister has adopted a puppy and a kitty and it been awsome to be part of that lately. Petunia the german sheperd puppy is turning one , I like to take her hiking with me. In addition to puppies and I have seniors pup expirence since a couple of my pets have passed away from old age. Giving medicine at a timely but sneaky way lol with lots of treats. I also grew up with cows, 3 years ago my dad got cows. I been relearning on how to handle them, feed them and care for them when I visit the farm. Currently going to school and my schedule fluctuates, but I have plenty of time to play or walk your kiddos. I'm flexible, and i speak spanish and English fluently if you have any question. I have two vacant rooms that are of use that can help give space to your kiddos. No fence yard but i do have a small yard and enclosed private park nearby.

About: I’ve had all kinds of pets ever since I was younger. I used to own parrots, Rabbits, quail, chihuahua, yorkie, and I have a Doberman that is super friendly with all types of dogs. I am currently not working at any other job so I have all the time in the world to take care of pets. I love pets I have a fenced yard all around. I have a tiny fenced area where dogs can be and inside as well I have 2 rooms and a living room available for any pets
About: I have experience with senior care (medication, frequent potty breaks) and puppy (play sessions) care! My house has no children and is typically a calm welcoming environment. I’m currently doing my internship hours and schooling online. I also work as a substitute teacher. This provides me with more flexibility with boarding times. My sister, who works from home, helps me take care of our dog and our boarding visitors when I need to step out of the house. We can provide potty breaks at any time and can attend to your pet’s needs 24/7. I have a fenced yard, however pets only go outside for some sunbathing time or potty breaks. Water bowls are set up in different areas of the house and any feeding schedule can be implemented. Someone is always home which means your pets always has company. My dog, Cece, enjoys having company over, but she typically gives others their space. I only board one dog at a time to make sure that pets feel safe and are not overwhelmed by the new environment. Pets are always allowed on the couch and sleep in my room.
“Elizabeth was amazing!! She was a quick responder and I know Leo was loved and well looked after by all the pictures she sent of him! Would definitely book again with her!!”
“I admit to being a nervous fur Momma. My babies not only loved Kayci, but her doggies and mine play very well together. We searched for 2 years for a replacement to our previous (who rudely moved to Florida. The nerve!) sitter. We were starting to thing our old sitter was a unicorn. Then we found Kayci! We had our first date day in 2 years. I didn't worry once! She's sweet, caring and very attentive. We found another unicorn 🦄”

“OMG!!!! Demelia was amazing with our dog from day one till we picked him up. She was very personable, love what she does, & kept us informed throughout. She sent us live videos daily of our dog having his walks, playing time with her dog “Moon” who’s also amazing, & cuddle relaxing time. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We would definitely book her again & again. Thank you so much for loving on our dog like he was your own.”

“Naydamar was super friendly and very patient with my dog. He is super shy around new people and she took her time with him. She sent photos and a video of his time with her and he looked like he was having fun. Her dog Milo is super friendly and probably made it an easier transition for my dog. Cooper can’t wait for another play date.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,473 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Mead Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mead Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
