“OMG!!!! Demelia was amazing with our dog from day one till we picked him up. She was very personable, love what she does, & kept us informed throughout. She sent us live videos daily of our dog having his walks, playing time with her dog “Moon” who’s also amazing, & cuddle relaxing time. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We would definitely book her again & again. Thank you so much for loving on our dog like he was your own.”

“Yummy loved her and his experience away from home. Tanesia was so gracious and kind. We asked her to watch my pup while we attended funeral services for my father. It was a rough time for us but she made it a little easier by giving yummy a place to go where he felt comfortable and was well cared for. This was yummy's first puppy sitting experience, and despite his apprehension to strangers and mild separation anxiety, he did super well. He gravitated to Tanesia and was made to feel right at home. She sent photos and video of his day to help appease me. I will definitely be using her services for Yummy again in the future. Thanks again, Tanesia! 🙏🏽💛”

“Emperatriz was warm and welcoming to our dog, Bailey. She was pleasant and made the experience of leaving Bailey less traumatic for us and Bailey. I would recommend Emps to anyone in the area that is looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. I’m absolutely in love with all dogs and animals in general. My fur babies are spoiled and I will treat your fur babies as if they were mine. I’m a stay home mom and have plenty of time to enjoy your pets company. I love to go for runs/walks outside so taking your dogs out for walks will be part of my exercise routine. We have a fenced backyard and two Boston terriers your fur babies can play with. I can also keep them separate if you’d like. Our dogs are inside dogs and we don’t mind keeping your pet indoors as well if they are inside dogs. I frequently let our dogs out to use the potty throughout the day but occasionally let them sun bathe in the back for a little if they’d like to.

About: I have over 30 years of experience with dogs and cats that were just born babies to fully grown and elderly. Growing up, my family would take in pets whos owners had past away. This included many different breeds, but also most of them were elderly that needed some extra love and care. I also had my own range of pets from fish to frogs to mice to geckos growing up and of course cats and dogs. I have 6 years as a desert tortoise biologist and love all kinds of pets. I recently started a part time job, so I am flexible and mostly at the house. I am able to board pets starting from 5pm to 8pm and can start daycare for most days at 7am. We have a yard with a fenced off runner and a separate grassy area for your pups to play in and do their business. We do have a cat, but we have a gate that can separate the upstairs from the downstairs. We have plenty of room for kennels or crates if your fur baby needs them.
“We really love this family so much. They are incredible. We have used them so much now because they take care of our two doodles so well & the girls love them. Both our girls come back so happy & exhausted from playing. Absolutely recommend them & we will be using them again & again. Thank you Carrie so much!!!”

“Whitney is absolutely amazing! I cannot be thankful enough to have found her on Rover! She is absolutely incredible and will treat your fur baby like her own! I got the cutest photos of Atticus and updates throughout the day, it looked like he had an absolute blast once again! Thank you Whitney for everything! I can tell Atticus is always so excited to come to your home! ♥️”

About: I have experience with senior care (medication, frequent potty breaks) and puppy (play sessions) care! My house has no children and is typically a calm welcoming environment. I’m currently doing my internship hours and schooling online. I also work as a substitute teacher. This provides me with more flexibility with boarding times. My sister, who works from home, helps me take care of our dog and our boarding visitors when I need to step out of the house. We can provide potty breaks at any time and can attend to your pet’s needs 24/7. I have a fenced yard, however pets only go outside for some sunbathing time or potty breaks. Water bowls are set up in different areas of the house and any feeding schedule can be implemented. Someone is always home which means your pets always has company. My dog, Cece, enjoys having company over, but she typically gives others their space. I only board one dog at a time to make sure that pets feel safe and are not overwhelmed by the new environment. Pets are always allowed on the couch and sleep in my room.
“Salma was very kind & cared for our puppy very well. She provided a lot of pictures and a thorough report at the end of the day. Our puppy was so calm and tired after spending the day with Salma and her dog. Would definitely trust her again to take care of our puppy 🤍”

“This was our first time leaving our Dog Cooper with a sitter and we were a bit nervous. As soon as we met Karen we immediately felt at ease! She is awesome! She sent us picture's and video's of Cooper while she was watching him and it really gave us peace of mind knowing that he was in really good hands!”

“Sandra and her home are very welcoming and we appreciated her making the time at a last minute stay. Sandra made sure they had their potty breaks, got exercise, and ate well. We got updates and let us know how the day went”

About: ***NEW to Rover? SAVE on your first booking using my code*** PHILH60301 https://www.rover.com/sit/philh60301 I grew up in a loving home with many dogs. My parents were very kind, patient and loving and they taught me how to love and care for our pets. I can’t imagine life without a faithful companion right beside me. As a husband and father I know the importance of loving, protecting and caring for my family/pets and making our time as fun and meaningful as possible. I’ve trained and raised our dogs mostly from puppies and have cared for our “senior dogs” as they have aged in life. I’ve always been the go to for them when it comes to vaccinations, veterinary appointments, grooming, feeding, walking and cleaning up after them. I am extremely attentive and “in tune” to them always receptive to their verbal and non verbal cues. I truly enjoy caring for them, nurturing them & spending time loving them. BOARDING REQUIREMENTS For the health and safety of our guests, I require up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, Disptemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. I am fortunate enough to currently work-part time from our home so I have complete flexibility and freedom with my pet care and sitting schedule. 🙏🏼 My professional background is Risk Management/Security & Safety I’ve always had a watchful eye and can anticipate hazards or mishaps before they happen. Our home is safe, loving and hazard/escape free. Your cherished pets will be loved, cared for and protected when they are in my care. ❤️

As of September 2026, there are 2,507 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Good Hope. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Good Hope commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,507 sitters in Good Hope, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
