“Air was so great!! Bubba can be aggressive, depending on how you approach him, and he immediately ran up to her and gave her a kiss 🥹 He won’t do a lot of things while I’m gone, but she got him to go outside, potty, fetch, and eat cheese - things he wouldn’t even do for my family off the bat. I appreciated the updates throughout the day, as well as the pictures. This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad that I chose Air to watch Bubba while I was visiting for a wedding 🩷 I would ABSOLUTELY rebook if I lived there!!”

“Shakira did a great job watching all three of our dogs! She was attentive and very good at communication, we definitely would have her watch our dogs again. Highly recommend!”

“Anna was a wonderful pet and housesitter! She took excellent care of our dog and cat. Our dog is a rescue with some special needs and she bonded with her and cared for her perfectly. Her experience with animals shows. Our family highly recommends this caring, trustworthy, responsible petsitter!”

About: Professional groomer for 3 years, Pets are my passion, they're what gets me out of bed in the morning. They bring me joy, being around them, working with them in all aspects. I am comfortable handling and caring for all breeds of dogs and species of pets including but not limited to cats, hamsters, birds, lizards, turtles, fish and bunnies. Pets are my passion, they're what gets me out of bed in the morning. They bring me joy, being around them and working with them in all aspects. I currently work in a corporate grooming salon grooming 5-8 dogs a day on average. I work with dogs of all breeds large and small dogs from carin terriers to great pyreness . I am able to adjust speed and care based on individual needs. Age/weight/health/temperament all are taken into consideration and signs of stress always monitored. My fur family consists of 4 cats and 1 dog, who I do most of the maintenance for. Waste management is completely my responsibility along with managing each of their dietary needs. I keep stock of all needed food, litter, treats and toys to actively enrich their environment, keeping them happy, healthy and entertained. I'm a groomer looking to transition into full time sitter/walker. I will have open availability!!! I walk my own dog and have an active lifestyle taking her to dog parks/beaches/mountain for hikes and to take in the view. I have 4 indoor cats and 1 dog whom all get along. My dog is well trained, although she can get excited sometimes her training does pull through and she is good listener. My backyard has a fence and a pool for summer swims. In a clients home, I am respectful of their space, I am able to provide care that is more comfortable in their home.

About: Growing up with dogs has left me with some great experience from dog walking and playtime to feeding and administering medicine. Of course your pup will get the best treatment but that comes with a good eye. I believe that I am great at understanding their needs based off their behavior, age, and energy level. Accommodating to their needs won’t be an issue. When caring for your pup overnight, nothing will change when it comes to giving them my full attention and making sure their needs are met. When caring for my dog Max in his last years he developed a cough which required extra care such as giving medication at late hours or simply being in their presence with some scratches. This experience taught me the importance of caring for an aging dog, being patient, attentive and compassionate. I promise I will care for yours as if they were my own! Thank you 😊 I am currently working full time although I will be available for night walks after 6pm on weekdays (Monday-Thursday) and boarding on weekends (Friday-Sunday). I can offer your pups toys and attention, whether it be in or outdoors. Whatever special request you have I would do my best to achieve. I only wish to create a happy and safe environment for them 😄
“Joshua arrived when promised and took good care of our 2 dogs. They both liked him immediately, which was a feat as our larger 90 lb dog doesn't take to people quickly. House was left spotless and all was well!”
“Absolutely fantastic! Our experience with Arica as a dog sitter and house sitter was beyond compare. Not only did they take exceptional care of our beloved furry friend, but she also ensured our home was in great condition upon our return. Her attention to detail, reliability, and genuine love for animals truly set them apart. We couldn't have asked for a better caretaker and highly recommend their services to anyone in need of top-notch pet and house sitting!”

About: I have a lifelong passion for animals. With years of pet ownership, I’ve honed my skills in training and caring for my own dogs. Though I lack formal professional experience, my journey truly began in 2019 when I welcomed my German Shepherd. I was committed to his training and enrolled him in boot camp, followed by ongoing socialization efforts. Additionally, I've cared for my own pets and stray cats, ensuring their well-being. My experience makes me a reliable and nurturing pet sitter, dedicated to the happiness and safety of your pets. I'm currently a student, with my semester concluding for the spring and resuming in the fall. Until then, I am available with flexible hours and can easily accommodate your scheduling needs. During May through summer, my availability will increase, allowing for even more flexibility. I'm here to ensure your pets receive the care they deserve at times that work best for you! I believe that every pet deserves personalized care and attention. My approach includes understanding the unique needs of each animal, whether it's a specific diet, exercise routine, or special medical considerations. I prioritize creating a safe and loving environment, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure. My experience with my own pets and local strays has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and playtime in building trust. I aim to provide not just basic care, but a nurturing experience that keeps them happy and healthy.

About: Saying that I am an animal lover is putting it mildly to say the least! I've volunteered at pet shelters across the US and I have been caring for cats and dogs my whole life! Right now my husband and I have 2 fur babies of our own and we also use Rover ourselves so we know exactly how it feels to let someone else care for your pet. You can definitely count on me to pamper your little ones. Working from home, our schedules are very open, so I have more than enough time to help you fill in the gaps. We're happy to help train your dog in basic behaviors and tricks as well! We love opening our homes to pets on holidays too so if you're planning a trip over the next holiday, we've got you covered! Because I work from home with my husband we have plenty of spare time for walks, play time and cuddles with your pup! Regular feedings and lots of exercise are no hassle at all! We offer a smoke free environment. We have a fenced in yard so they can really stretch their legs or just do some sunbathing. Your pet will be given full roam of our 2 bedroom home to play, chill and hangout with our friendly poodle Margo. But if you would prefer them to stay in their own designated bedroom at night just let us know. We also allow pets on furniture for a snuggle/nap but if this is an issue for you we are happy to reinforce your rules/training. Treat our place like your own and we will provide a loving environment to make them feel right at home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred March Air Force Base walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in March Air Force Base maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in March Air Force Base choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
