I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets, from cats and dogs to reptiles and beyond. I currently have a corgi named Loaf, who loves dog parks and agility training. About: I've been around animals my entire life, growing up on a farm caring for them was part of my daily routine. In addition, I volunteer at shelters and have experience fostering both dogs and cats as well as watching family and friend's animals when they are away. I do not currently work outside of the home, so I have a flexible schedule and time to dedicate to animal care, including walks, drop-ins and overnight stays. I enjoy spending time with animals and will provide them with lots of attention and companionship. We currently have three dogs and a cat of our own, so caring for animals is truly part of my everyday life. One of my dogs is reactive, which has given me firsthand experience in understanding triggers, reading body language, and creating a calm, structured environment to help them feel safe. I'm mindful with boundaries, slow introductions and importance of routine for dogs who need a little more support. My schedule is very open and flexible right now which means I can accommodate a variety of schedules and can be very attentive to each pet's needs and routine. If I'm staying in your home, I treat it with the utmost respect and keep things clean, organized and secure. I bring a grounded, mindful presence to pet care. I practice yoga and truly enjoy creating a peaceful environment for both people and animals. I am active and enjoy getting outside so your pets will get the exercise and attention they need, balanced with companionship while you are away.
“Maria takes care of our Cane Corso (140lbs), she is so good with him and he loves her. She sends pics daily and truly cares for your baby. I highly recommend her for your sitting needs.”

“Skylar was awesome! We traveled from out of town and last minute decided we needed a dog sitter for a couple days in our hotel room. She was very accommodating. Her response time was always immediate and she sent updates as well as photos of our boy while she was with him. If we come back to California we absolutely will use Skylar again!”

About: I am extremely reliable, I treat animals with a one of a kind type of affection. I pay good attention to their needs and wants. I don’t have a weekday job, when I do work it’s for a brief 3-5 hours on weekends or online work. I am able to give the pet any extra attention needed. My home is extremely safe. We live in a nice neighborhood with a close by park. My family adores animals. We have a clean living area.
“This was our first time using an in-home dog sitter after losing our previous dog unexpectedly at a boarding facility, so we were understandably very hesitant. From the moment we met Vickie, she immediately put us at ease and gave us the confidence to leave our new pup at home while we were away. Vickie went above and beyond by visiting a few times before our trip to help our pup feel comfortable with her in our home. While we were gone, she kept us updated with daily photos, which meant so much to us, and she even took the time to water our garden. We came home to a happy, healthy pup and a house in perfect condition. We’re so grateful for the care and attention Vickie provided and would absolutely love to work with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Marissa did an amazing job! We adopted a puppy w/ severe trauma background who is afraid of everyone, who’d never been left alone w/ anyone before. He’s never let anyone near him before. Marisa’s patience and skill w dogs with a traumatic past enabled her to break through his fears and by the end of the day my sweet dog was cuddling with her! It was truly amazing. I highly recommend Marissa.”

About: Hi, my name is Gianna, i’m 18 years old. I have much experience with dogs, my family owns many dogs, one of each size. I can promise your animals will be safe with me, i also get along very well with cats, i have one of my own. I’ve understood that cats take very long to get used to and comfortable around new people and i am patient enough for that. Every morning before work, i let my aunts 4 dogs outside. i fill their food and water bowls as i take them out around 9 am. i bring in my aunts Argentinian dogo’s food bowl at 5pm (very big dog btw LOL) and throw in extra boiled chicken that they have made for him already. I try to help as much as i can with them. I care for pets by ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met, whether in my own home or a client’s. This includes feeding them the right diet, providing fresh water, and offering daily exercise through walks or play. I also monitor their health for any signs of discomfort. I always make sure I create a safe, comfortable environment for my clients pet it is a top priority. I also communicate closely with pet owners to ensure all specific care instructions are followed and address any concerns promptly.

About: Within my family we have multiple different dogs of different sizes. In highschool I was apart of my schools vet class as well as the school competitions. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and at a local veterinary. Currently I’m on summer break so I have unlimited time to take care of any pets. I would like to communicate with the owners and hear of what expectations they want so I can provide it. When going to a customers house I follow all rules that have been provided. I’m also careful with what I bring with me so no harm can come to the animals I’m watching.
About: I recently cared for a new born American Pit Bull Terrier, and 16 year old black American shorthair cat. The experience/care for both animals has helped me understand and appreciate a pet owners everyday task. There is so much sacrifice, dedication, and love that animals need on a daily basis. I would like to alleviate the daily stress that some pet owners may encounter while trying to juggle life, work, and caring for their animals. I have recently been laid off due to covid-19 pandemic. I now have an open schedule, please send me all your fur request. I cant wait to meet them! I care for animals in the same way I care for humans. Animals feel and think in similar ways that we do. Knowing and understanding a animals personality will only make my care for them more enjoyable.
About: Hey my name Is Cameron O’Connor. I am a total animal lover and have been around cats and dogs my whole life and have had a total of 2 dogs and a cat personally. I am 24 years old and new to the area so I am looking for a way to earn some extra money while also doing what I love so I thought this would be a perfect way to do just that. What sets me apart from other sitters would be my dedication toward making your pet as happy as possible as it brings me great joy to see a happy pet, as well as ability to follow directions I will do exactly what is needed to make this pet as comfortable as possible while under my supervision. Thank you :) I am relatively new to the area of Menifee, and I have very open availability. And I thought what better way to show my passion for animals and get to meet new friendly faces than with rover! I treat all animals with the kindness and respect they deserve and anything I can do that make an impact on man’s best friend makes feel me more happiness than anything

“Kerrie was fantastic. She came to our venue picked up our pup and watched him at our hotel room while we got married. He was able to be a part of our special day but not take away from it. We came back to him fed, walked, did his business and ready for bed. She’s great!”

“Michael was great. Hank had a little trauma when he witnessed his brother Rottie pass away and gets a little anxious on occasion when we leave but Michael took great care of him. He walked him and was super attentive to my texts and Hank seemed to really like him. I received daily texts and photos/videos which kept me from being sad and missing Hank :). I feel confident that we will use Michael again,”

“There are no words to rate or describe how wonderful Alivia was with Owen (16 year old dog). She arrived ahead of scheduled time and left after time allotted. She watched and kept Owen company for 3 days 8-5. They went on Adventures everyday rather than just sitting in a hotel room. The pictures she took and sent were amazing. She took Owen to an awesome pet store, had picnic and showed him the sites of Fresno. He was smiling and happy. Alivia made a horrible visit to Fresno (had trial in court) a good one and didn't have the stress of worrying about Owen. I definitely highly recommend Alivia-5++++++ stars. Thank you for your love and compassion.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Perris on Rover is $69.93 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

As of July 2026, there are 3,514 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Perris. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Perris walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Perris maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Perris choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
