Averie did a great job pet setting for our 18 year old dog Remy. She provided a calm, nurturing presence for him that made him feel comfortable. I would highly recommended Averie for house sitting/pet sitting.

Maureen came a few days ahead of time to meet my two dogs. She is very good with large dogs like mine. The day of the dog sitting she was on time and sent me lots of photos of my dogs. She is very nice and kept in touch with me on the day she sat with my dogs. I would book with her again!

About: I've dog sat for friends for several years and had a variety of pets growing up. I'm good at following directions for a specific pet's care. I work part time remote, so I'm flexible for house sitting or drop-by services. If you happen to have a bird, I can take care of them, too! I have a parakeet who lives in a large cage inside -- he doesn't know how good he has it, LOL! I also cared for a variety of pets growing up.

About: Hello! I have over 7 years of experience working at a kennel, caring for both cats and dogs. I also personally have a German Sheppard mix and 3 cats. I have walked old dogs, puppies, 100+ lb dogs and little 5 lb dogs. Whatever you need, I can handle it. I currently work part-time as a soccer coach, my typical schedule is only 3 hours a day. I can visit in the morning and the evenings, or can stay in afternoons of weekdays I am not coaching. With my years of experience at the kennel, I have worked with some of the hardest, craziest dogs. With that being said, no cat or dog has ever gotten injured or sick under my watch. If an emergency ever arises, I am always cool under pressure and will do whatever it takes to take care of your pets!

Macy did an awesome job. Our senior dog Layla required extra attention with medications and Macy did it without hesitation. Everyone loved her, one of our dogs Bailey has separation anxiety and she warmed to Macy immediately. We were gone for 6 nights and Bailey slept with Macy every night, which made us happy. Our Riley would lean against her like he does with us when playing. Bentley and Bailey played ball with her like crazy. She left the home clean and neat just as when she arrived. She did a marvelous job, we can't say enough good things. We will definitely book with her again.

About: I’m an experienced, intuitive dog caregiver who blends calm confidence with playful, genuine affection. I’ve worked with pups of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m especially skilled at reading body language, easing anxiety, and building trust with shy or energetic dogs. My hospitality background shows up in the way I communicate clearly, stay organized, and anticipate both the dog’s needs and the owner’s peace of mind. Whether it’s maintaining routines, handling medication, managing multi‑dog households, or keeping high‑energy pups happily engaged, I bring steady reliability and a warm, joyful presence that dogs connect with right away. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I work part‑time on weekends and I’m on summer break from school. I have plenty of open time during the week for walks, drop‑ins, and longer visits, and I balance my weekend job with consistent pet‑care hours. This flexibility lets me give each pet focused, reliable attention and maintain steady routines for kittens, senior cats, pregnant cats, and dogs alike. I provide a calm, stress‑free environment for every pet I care for. In my home, I offer a quiet space with no children, a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, and a relaxed atmosphere where pets can settle in comfortably. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, keep their space tidy, and make sure they feel secure and comfortable in their familiar environment. Whether I’m hosting or visiting, I focus on safety, consistency, and creating a peaceful experience for each pet.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and other animals since I was 10 and I have always treated them like family. I’m currently studying to become a veterinary technician, so I’m learning more about animal health, safety, behavior, and proper care. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs. I understand how important it is to give pets love, attention, exercise, food, and a safe environment while their owners are away. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I have availability during weekdays and weekends and can make time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and giving your pets the attention they deserve. I’m happy to communicate with owners and follow each pet’s normal routine and care instructions. I have a fenced yard with no pets currently. I’m attentive to your pets individual personalities and routines and will carefully follow your instructions for feeding, playtime, medication, and other needs. I’ll also keep you updated so you know your pet is safe and comfortable while you’re away.

About: Saying that I am an animal lover is putting it mildly to say the least! I've volunteered at pet shelters across the US and I have been caring for cats and dogs my whole life! Right now my husband and I have 2 fur babies of our own and we also use Rover ourselves so we know exactly how it feels to let someone else care for your pet. You can definitely count on me to pamper your little ones. Working from home, our schedules are very open, so I have more than enough time to help you fill in the gaps. We're happy to help train your dog in basic behaviors and tricks as well! We love opening our homes to pets on holidays too so if you're planning a trip over the next holiday, we've got you covered! Because I work from home with my husband we have plenty of spare time for walks, play time and cuddles with your pup! Regular feedings and lots of exercise are no hassle at all! We offer a smoke free environment. We have a fenced in yard so they can really stretch their legs or just do some sunbathing. Your pet will be given full roam of our 2 bedroom home to play, chill and hangout with our friendly poodle Margo. But if you would prefer them to stay in their own designated bedroom at night just let us know. We also allow pets on furniture for a snuggle/nap but if this is an issue for you we are happy to reinforce your rules/training. Treat our place like your own and we will provide a loving environment to make them feel right at home.

About: Hi there, my names Natalie & I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. Horses, dolphins and dogs are my top fav. I have grown up with dogs since I was 5, I was always in charge of feeding, play time, bathroom and bath time. Having dog or cat sitted for friends or family throughout my life I am very comfortable around any animal big or small. Previous work at a vet clinic and animal shelters along with kennel jobs have provided me with the adequate animal care and skills needed to care for your fur baby! I’m a full time mom so I prefer to work hours while my child is in school. Night or weekends can be planned as well. I can take your pet out for walks, hikes, or dog park trips if allowed. Air was so great!! Bubba can be aggressive, depending on how you approach him, and he immediately ran up to her and gave her a kiss 🥹 He won’t do a lot of things while I’m gone, but she got him to go outside, potty, fetch, and eat cheese - things he wouldn’t even do for my family off the bat. I appreciated the updates throughout the day, as well as the pictures. This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad that I chose Air to watch Bubba while I was visiting for a wedding 🩷 I would ABSOLUTELY rebook if I lived there!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Moreno Knolls

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Moreno Knolls on Rover is $31.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,061 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Moreno Knolls. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moreno Knolls walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moreno Knolls maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moreno Knolls choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moreno Knolls. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
