“They did a great job of watching my dogs for me in my home. The dogs loved them immediately and wanted to spend the entire time playing or cuddled up with them. They were also really quick to respond to my last minute message requesting a booking. I really appreciate them being able to watch them and doing such a great job. I would book again.”

“Abbagayle did great pet sitting for our super senior dog Remy who is almost 18. She was kind, gentle, and trustworthy. She has a gentle presentation that’s comforting for pets and Remy seemed to really like her. We have highly recommend her as a sitter for any pet.”

“Harrison was pretty much everything we’ve ever wanted in a dog sitter. He was patient with our youngest who takes some time to warm up to people, and really took the time to make our dogs and us feel comfortable. The txt updates every time he went and tended to them really had us at ease on our trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for any help with their furry loved ones.”

About: Although I dont have any pets myself, I have had plenty experience working and taking care of cats and dogs. I am more than qualified to help because I am patient, and passionate about caring for pets. I have a flexible schedule I usually work weekends part time at a restaurant so I have the time to be able to walk or feed any cat or dog any day of the week. I dont have any pets myself so that would give me the time to be able to help take care of others. It depends on the standards of the owner, with dogs its important to walk them with a secure leash and make sure to let them walk around and sniff before doing their bussiness, I will always pick up after them to ensure a clean neighborhood. With cats and dogs you want to make sure to open the door slowly when walking inside and keep them indoors so they are safe.
“Parker was great with our pups for a nearly 3 week house sitting stay. He was very responsive and took wonderful care of all 3 of our huskies! Huskies can be very demanding on attention and care and Parker handled it with ease - not to mention walking 3 huskies twice a day is no easy task! The pups all took to him right away when we did our meet and greet and we felt very comfortable with having him stay in our home so we could enjoy our vacation without worry. He was very communicative and took great care of the house. He went above and beyond with helping keep the place clean and watering our plants outside! We feel we can take more trips now without worry as we have a great sitter available and knows our pups through and through. We highly recommend Parker as a dog sitter who will take wonderful care of your furry loved ones and of course your home.”

“Air was so great!! Bubba can be aggressive, depending on how you approach him, and he immediately ran up to her and gave her a kiss 🥹 He won’t do a lot of things while I’m gone, but she got him to go outside, potty, fetch, and eat cheese - things he wouldn’t even do for my family off the bat. I appreciated the updates throughout the day, as well as the pictures. This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad that I chose Air to watch Bubba while I was visiting for a wedding 🩷 I would ABSOLUTELY rebook if I lived there!!”

“Noelle was excellent with both our 7lb Yorkie and our 80lb Rotty! She also watched our house with care allowing us to have a worry free mini vacay in LV. Will definitely use her again if she is available!”

About: I have 25+ years of experience as a very compassionate caregiver for pets and people. I love all living things. I am reliable and a great communicator. I love to travel, laugh and keep a light energy that my animal friends love. I go hiking every day and love anything outdoors. I like to wake up early and do yoga. I work very flexible hours online so it is easy for me to find time to look after your fur baby for you. In my client”s homes I make sure our Furry friends have fresh water and food if they need to be fed. I make sure they get to go outside for the bathroom. Sometimes other little things are needed like bringing in packages, mail, cleaning out the litter box, walks, movie time, etc.

“Larissa was outstanding! Very detail oriented, friendly, and a great new friend for our pups! I would highly recommend her and ask her to sit for us again! Thanks Larissa!”
“Ayla did an amazing job watching my dog. She took great care of him at my house, kept me updated, and he was super happy and relaxed when I got back. You can tell she really loves animals. Highly recommend her!”
“Lynn took care of our dog for 2 weeks and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. He was in very good hands. Lots of updates and pics of our baby, giving us the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation.”

About: Since I was 12 I have had pets of my own. Growing up I was always the one in my family to take care of our family animals. When I was in high school I volunteered at YAPS an animal shelter for dogs and cats. Now for the last 5 years I have had my babies, a dachshund and an all black cat. I am currently working part time while going to school for nursing and have the free time to take care of others pets. I am free Friday-Sunday and mainly Tuesday and Thursday after 3:00pm and Monday and Wednesday from 12-4:30 Your pet and their safety will always be my top priority. I believe consistency is key to keeping your pet feeling safe and comfortable so whatever your routine is at home I will try my best to keep that same routine.
“I can’t say enough good things about Emily. From her communication to the way she cared about my dogs, she is just great. Definitely booking again if she is available. Thank you so much for your help Emily”

“Was our first time using Chloe and she stayed 4 days with our fur baby! We were so happy with her and she spoiled him with daily walks, cuddles and playtime! She sent pictures of him and he always looked so happy with her. She went beyond what we asked and came home to a happy boy and a clean house. ( which wasn’t expected)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Calimesa on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,098 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Calimesa. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Calimesa walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Calimesa maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calimesa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Calimesa. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
