“Paula is great! She handled my foster dog with love, care and compassion. She arrived on time of not a little early which put me at ease so I didn’t have to worry about her being late. She went above and beyond, filling my dogs pool up with fresh water, hand fed my dog when she didn’t want to eat and took her for walks. My foster dog absolutely adored her! I will definitely be using Paula in the future!! Thank you Paula!”

“Saige did such a great job watching our cat Church! She kept us in the loop the entire time and even sent picture updates of Church. We felt we were in good hands with Saige the entire time and will definitely use her services again.”

“Kelly did an amazing job with our pets! She took so many photos, played with them and even took the time to clean up their dishes. She is a wonderful person. Thank you Kelly! We will see you again soon 🫶🏼”

About: Hi! I’m Abbagayle — a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, I’m patient, gentle, and very attentive to each dog’s routine and comfort. I always prioritize safety and clear communication, and I love sending updates so you feel totally at ease while your pup is with me. I work a 9–5 Monday through Friday, but I’m available early mornings, evenings, and weekends for walks, check-ins, and care. Whether your pup needs exercise, company, or someone to make sure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away, I’m here to make sure they feel loved and cared for every step of the way. Every pet and household is different, so I’m happy to discuss exactly what you’re looking for through Rover messages or during our meet & greet. We’ll go over your pet’s routine, care expectations, and any applicable additional charges before the booking is confirmed, so everything is clear ahead of time. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I treat every dog in my care with the same level of attention and love that I give my own pup at home. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level so I can create a calm, positive experience tailored to their needs. I’m attentive, gentle, and patient, and I communicate frequently so you can feel confident that your pup is safe, happy, and in good hands. When your dog is with me, they’re treated like family — with structure, supervision, attention, and lots of love.

“Maureen is amazing! She drops in and checks on my Daisy girl. She is so flexible with her time as well.I definitely have peace of mind knowing that she is attentive to the dogs when she is at the house.”

“Kaitlyn and Jesse were absolutely wonderful!! They cared for our sweet dogs as if they were their own!! One of our adopted dogs has a hard history and Kaitlyn and Jesse were so good with him…he warmed up to them and trusted them over the course of the booking. They were so good at letting us know each day how our sweet dogs were doing and sent fun pictures!! We also live in the countryside and had a scare with some local fires. Kaitlyn and Jesse were quick to make contact with us and tentatively plan for how to keep our dogs safe! They are so kind and friendly!! We were so happy we got connected with them through Rover and will look forward to booking with them for future times!!”

About: I adore all animals and caring for yours will not only provide me with income for school but also an opportunity to make money doing something that I love, I guarantee your pet will be in good hands and any specific instructions you leave will be followed. I am currently in school so services will be available after classes. I’ve had dogs and cats all my life so I have plenty of hands-on experience and I will do my very best to make sure your pet, no matter what kind, has the best experience possible. Rain or shine I will ensure your furry friend gets the attention they need. I am taking a few college classes during the week but am completely free on the weekends starting on Thursdays and am always free after class. I can accommodate owners and pets to anything that will meet their needs whether their pet needs to meet a certain regiment, diet, schedule, etc. No pet scares me away, no matter the kind, I will do my best for them!

About: Although I do not have professional pet-sitting experience, I have cared for my own dog and nine cats for many years. I am comfortable feeding pets, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, providing exercise and playtime, and ensuring pets receive the attention and care they need. I am dependable, patient, and love working with animals. I work as a behavior technician on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the mornings. I am available for pet care visits in the afternoons and evenings on those days, all day on Saturdays, and Sunday mornings. I am not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I strive to provide dependable, consistent care and follow each pet’s regular routine as closely as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and following the owner’s instructions. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication directions, exercise routines, and any special care needs. I respect your home and work to maintain your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable while you are away. My experience caring for my own dog and multiple cats has taught me to be attentive, patient, and responsive to each pet’s individual needs.
“Alexa is a great find! My scared kitty that rarely lets anyone see her let Alexa pet her every day we were away. Alexa followed directions perfectly and we were very pleased with her reliability. Thanks so much for taking the stress away so we could enjoy our vacation”
“What a caring a loving individual. If you want someone to love your animals as much as you do, Elaine is your gal! She’s so sweet, trustworthy, and will go that extra mile to send you photos of your furry friends while you’re away! 🥰”
About: Could your dog benefit from more than just a standard walk? We go for hikes! Book the puppy walking rate and I’ll pick up your dog, transport them in a crash-rated crate, and take them for a 2-3 mile hike (60-75 mins), typically the Yucaipa Creek South Loop out of Gateway Ranch in Redlands), and then bring them home! Transportation is included within a 15 mile radius of Calimesa. I have been caring for pets (both mine and others’) since my early teens. Dogs are my hobby, primarily nose work sports and dock diving, but also obedience and trick training. I love getting to play with their different personalities and finding what they like to do. I also have two very dog-friendly dogs (and one who doesn’t make good choices so he doesn’t get to hang out with new friends), so if you’d like your pup to walk with a buddy just let me know! I work a fairly flexible schedule from home, with Friday being my part-time in-office day. My dogs go for walks in the mornings and evenings, and occasionally when I need a break from staring at a screen. Adding a drop-in visit or walk or swapping out my dogs for a customer’s dog(s) is easy peasy! Must have proof of vaccination for your dog (rabies, bordetella, and DA2PP) This is to keep your dog(s) and my dogs safe :) My dogs are also fully vaccinated and I’m happy to provide proof.
“Kathleen has been really great with our two kitties. This was our second Rover booking with her, and she really gave our guys some extra TLC while we were traveling. We'll definitely book with her again!”

The other four days a week I have a lot of flexibility to make myself available to care for your pet. “Air was available at the last minute; I booked her less than 48 hours before the first visit and she happily took the job. She showed up on time each day and provided pics as requested. Very happy with her.”

About: My siblings and I have grown up having dogs of different breeds and sizes. My wife and I have raised our chihuahua for 6 years, german shepherd/husky for 9 years and our long hair chihuahua for 7. Our chihuahua passed away 2 years ago from confestional heart failure. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Calimesa
Saige took wonderful care of our two cats during our two-day trip. She followed all of our instructions carefully, made sure they were well fed, gave them their treats, and spent time playing with them using their favorite toys. One of our cats is usually very shy around new people, but he warmed up to Saige much faster than he does with most visitors. We really appreciated how calm, patient, and gentle she was with both of our cats. It made us feel comfortable knowing they were in such caring hands. Our cats seemed to really enjoy having her around, and we would absolutely book Saige again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Mango and Michael!

Annalissa was a new sitter for us. She communicated well with us right from the start making us believe she understood the needs of our home and our 3 pets. She was prompt in her visits, spent time with our pets, sent great pictures after each visit, and tidied up the house before we returned home. We appreciated her professionalism and happily recommend her!

Paula is the absolute best!!!! Matix loves her. Like he doesn’t trust people easily but when she sends me videos he looks so happy!!! That gives me so much peace and joy! Just to know he’s in good hands and with someone that treats him as her own! Thank you so much Paula! We love you!

This was our first time using Rover and we could not be more happy with Lisa! She went above and beyond our expectations! Our dogs loved her and we had peace of mind! She kept us informed on very visit and sent many pics. Thank you so much Lisa for being awesome! Please don’t hesitate to book with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
