About: I’ve had the joy of caring for many different pets, but dogs and cats always have a special place in my heart! As a big animal lover, I truly enjoy being around them. I’ve trained puppies, cared for adult and senior pets, they all are so special! As a military wife and stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that will allow me to spend time with your pets while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, following each owner’s instructions for feeding, exercise, medication, and routines. My priority is keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while giving them attention and affection.

“She was so easy to communicate with and so kind! She was timely and did such a good job taking care of our guinea pigs, even with all the moving parts they require. We got the cutest pictures of them, too! Highly recommend for any animal need you have.”
“Highly recommend! At the meet and greet she was so easy to talk to and our dog Luna loved her! While we were away I didnt worry if callie and luna were taken care of, she sent pictures of them getting all the love and attention. I think our house was cleaner than when we left too, 10/10 will be using every time we go out of town!”

“Lauren is fantastic! She is so professional, sweet with Mack and a fabulous communicator! We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend!!”

“We had a drop-in meeting today with Anna. It went fabulously. My dog adored her. She was thorough in her questions & care plan, and knowledgeable about dog behavior. I have no doubts my pets will feel comfortable with Anna, and we will be booking with her for a long vacation in the future.”

“I entrusted Jeanne with my dogs for five days, marking the first time I had left them alone at home. She performed dependable drop-in visits, maintained their feeding schedule, refreshed their water, and provided photo updates. She did an excellent job ensuring my picky eater was properly fed. I greatly valued her professionalism and would highly recommend her.”

“Karen was a lifesaver on a recent last minute spring vacation. I even messed up one full day when booking, and she was incredibly understanding and helpful. I’m new to Rover and have a pack of four dogs (a Yorkie Poo, English Retreiver, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and a Pitt). Karen came by, met my babies, and agreed to take care of them. She is absolutely lovely. She updated me every time she stopped by and made sure I knew the dogs were doing well. She was always on time and even picked up after them when needed (kid lost a stuffy) Thank you Karen, for keeping my babies safe and well cared for.”

“Mary was fantastic! This was our second time having her watch out cat and she took great care of him - we knew he was well loved while we were gone thanks to her detailed updates.”

“I can not say enough good things about Victoria. Our dog, Chloe, is a very shy and nervous but she went right up to Victoria. She kept in touch throughout her visits and sent us photos of our furry babies!! Thank you for taking such good of our pets!!”

“Emily did an excellent job taking care of my 16 yr old cat while we were away. She was responsive, reliable, and made sure he got his medicine twice a day during her drop in visits. I would highly recommend her.”

“Madison was absolutely amazing with our 11 year old pitbull! She truly went above and beyond to spend quality time with her and provided us with daily updates and pictures. I cant say enough great things about her service!”
“Ally has been an excellent sitter for my kitties. She spends time playing with them and actually grooms them!! She is my go-to when I need a sitter and I highly recommend her without reservation!!”

“Sara did a terrific job taking care of Scout and McCoy... they even came out of hiding to see her. I am delighted at how comfortable the cats were with her. I will use her again.”

“Gage did a great job for us watching our two dogs. He was there for all the scheduled times and did a fantastic job giving them their meds and getting them to eat. I would recommend Gage to anyone and plan on using him again each time we need a dog sitter.”

“You will absolutely love having Angie care for your fur family!! She is incredibly considerate, timely, professional and so warm and caring!! We will absolutely work with her again, highly recommend her services. :))”
“Ashtyn did so well with my puppy Blazer and kitties Choco, Kimchi, and Cider. I had to be away for 2 weeks apartment hunting, and was afraid Blazer wouldn't do well. As soon as she met him they were friends, and I felt so much better about chosing Ashtyn. She took so many adorable pet photos and even cared for the outdoor kitty Cider that I feed with her scabby ears at the time. The pets seemed to really love Ashtyn, as she treated them all like her own. Ashtyn even cleaned up when Blazer freaked out and made a mess in the kitchen and ate pillows...she really kept me updated on everything. I definitely 100 percent recommend Ashtyn for Rover sitting. She's compassionate, thoughtful, caring, and really has a heart for animals. 5 stars!!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Albemarle Farms
Julia did a fantastic job looking in on our pets. She was consistent, arrived within the time window we asked for and stayed with our pets throughout the duration of the visit. Julia paid attention to the specific needs of our pets and insured each of them received the attention they needed. She also dealt with a bit of a homeowner situation as our water line developed a leak the night before the visits started requiring a bit of creativity when it came to maintaining water access for the animals.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Albemarle Farms. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
