“Emma was great with our sweet Olive! She was flexible with meeting us on a bit short notice and was not deterred by a few barks from our girl. We will definitely keep Emma in mind in the future!”

“Mike spent a good deal of quality time with our pet. Walks, play behavior, Hygiene and energy were all conveyed in messages . Every day he was early and spent time playing with our pet. I appreciate the photos, too. Five stars for sure.”
“Jahnia is amazing! Responsive, attentive, friendly and has an unending loved for pets! I’m am so very lucky to have found a pet friend I can use for my beloved babies. Certainly an asset to your brand.’ Thank you so much.”

“Meagan was awesome! She followed all the instructions for caring for my boys and they loved her. Her care helped them stay in good spirits while my husband and I were gone on vacation. After we arrived home our cats were happy to see us but, the second night they were waiting at the door for Meagan to come visit them. It was so precious 🥹 Thank you so much Meagan! ❤️”

“Karlie did a wonderful job checking in on my kitties making sure they had fresh litter, food and water. She followed directions and communicated with me so that the visit went smooth. She also helped me out by stopping by on a whim. I will continue to use her services.”

“Janie did a great job with Oreo once again! She always goes above and beyond and is adaptable when there are unforeseen situations that come up. I trust her with my cat and my home 🐾”

“Kirra was amazing and SO accommodating. I am so grateful and highly recommend that you trust her with your pet(s). Her feedback was top tier, pictures were amazing. I felt so safe trusting her with my two dogs - especially after a last minute booking- she exceeded any and all expectations.”

“Wow…. I don’t even know where to begin so I’ll start by saying that Devi is amazing, reliable, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator. I just spent two weeks in Thailand and almost cancelled my trip due to a lack of kitty care. Thankfully, I heard about Rover, and all though hesitant, I spent a day scouring all the reviews for sitters in my area and finally found Devi. She was quick to respond and we set up a meet and greet shortly thereafter. Blue, who is naturally shy, made a friend right away and enjoyed each of his afternoon visits. Devi also made sure to send multiple pictures from each visit and even cleaned up a container of spoiled milk that exploded while I was away (I know…. I meant to empty the fridge before heading out of town). All around, an incredible person and care giver for your pet!”

“Gabrielle was amazing! We were out of the country and our pet sitter had to leave early on our last day as we were traveling back home. We worked everything out with Gabrielle through the app. She showed up when we needed her to, and she did everything we needed so we didn’t worry about our babies as we were traveling home. I will definitely use her again, and I would recommend her without hesitation. And our babies seemed to love her!”
“This kitty is my child & Steven took care of my kitty SO amazingly. I usually stress when away for extended periods but during this time was not worried at all. Definitely will be booking him again 💛”

“Shanna was absolutely great with our cat while we were away. She has excellent communication and always made us feel comfortable during drop-in visits by sending plenty of pictures and updates daily. We highly recommend Shanna and would definitely request her to pet sit again in the future.”

“Highly recommend! At the meet and greet she was so easy to talk to and our dog Luna loved her! While we were away I didnt worry if callie and luna were taken care of, she sent pictures of them getting all the love and attention. I think our house was cleaner than when we left too, 10/10 will be using every time we go out of town!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets, including pet sitting for family friends and friends’ pets. I’m responsible, caring, and experienced with providing pets with the attention, care, and companionship they need while their owners are away. I work part-time currently, so I am able to fit pet care into my schedule mornings and/or nights. I will definitely share my schedule to figure out what time(s)/date(s) works best for the both of us! I decided not to care for pets at my home because my dog is an only dog and is not a huge fan of other dogs. When taking care of your pet at your home, I will ensure that whatever makes you feel comfortable in your dog receiving the best care that I will take extra precaution as our fur babies are just like our children.
About: I’ve had experience watching dogs for my entire life. I know how to give medicine, including injections, to dogs and cats. I am also certified in first aid and have completed a “Stop the Bleed” course. I’m available most days with a few days notice. I am able to come over and walk your dogs or just spend time with your pets. I can easily come to you and do whatever is needed. Walks, feedings, etc. I am very attentive and love to play with your pets.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pungo. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
