About: I am a dog lover and former dog mom who has recently lost my beloved boy Zeus after 15 wonderful years together. I adopted Zeus as a wild, very furry, stubborn, 1 year old super-mutt from the King County Animal Shelter in 2009. He won me over with his smile and positive attitude and I was willing to take the training courses to learn to be a good pet owner to this happy guy. Over the years, Zeus and I fostered dozens of other dogs through the Seattle Animal Shelter and private rescues. For Zeus, I bought a fully fenced 1000 sq ft yard in north Ballard for dogs to run around or lounge in the sun. The house is 100% dog friendly with dogs allowed on the furniture and bed. A house is too quiet without a dog and Zeus would want other dogs to get to enjoy his spacious yard. I am semi-retired so I don't work outside the house...just the occasional conference call for one of the non profits I work with. I am home all day to play with the dogs in the yard or take walks. The dogs never go more than a couple hours without a potty break. Inside I have baby gates available if any dog needs their own quiet space. I am home all day when I pet sit, so the dogs are always supervised. If I do need to go out briefly, I make sure my dog and our visiting dog have their own private space with a bed, food, and water and I am not gone for long. I am semi-retired, so pet care is at the top of my agenda when dogs are in my home. Daily walks keep all the beings in the house happy. My house is 100% dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on the couch and the bed. I have baby gates that can be set up if a dog needs a safe quiet place where they can still keep on eye on everything going on.
9. Caroline O.
“I highly recommend Caroline as a petsitter to any of your animals. She took care of our 3 cats for 2 weeks while we were out of the country and we felt very relaxed knowing they were in good hands. Caroline sent us pictures and let us know updates while we were gone, and was able to navigate the differing needs of each cat, which we appreciated (likes, dislikes, mainly the different feeding habits of one). Caroline is an excellent petsitter and housesitter and we're always glad to have her work for us when we're out of town.”
10. Ashley G.
“Ashley checked in on my pet during a long work day and made sure she got some snuggles and some play time! Also thanks Ashley for bringing in my package!”
11. Haidyn H.
“Haidyn did a great job checking on and walking our dog. She was on-time and great at communicating. We would definitely hire her again!”
12. Melinda S.
“Melinda and Steven are great with our dogs Bodie and Max. Bodie is a tree walking coon hound and Max is a 16 year old Cheeweenie. I have observed them both being concientious when taking Bodie out for a walk. He is a bit too handle, but they make sure that they have his harness on correctly and treats awaiting to distract him from whatever he sees. With Max, they take great care in carrying him up the stairs and then blocking the stairway so he does not fall. They are very responsible and make a great team caring for our pups! As a matter of fact, they will be caring for both of them for three weeks come this spring. When our doggies are with Steven and Melinda, I never worry.”
13. Mackenzie B.
“Mackenzie recently watched our two dogs for one day and we came back to happy, calm dogs that I could tell had had a great day. One of our dogs is an adopted dog who used to be on the streets, who has some challenges, but Mackenzie had a great attitude toward working with her. She fed, played with and walked both dogs (which can also sometimes be challenging!) and did great with them. She sent us photos and communicated throughout the day. Highly recommend Mackenzie to take great care of your pooches!”
14. Chelsie M.
“Chelsie is an amazing pet caregiver; great communication, keeping me informed of Beacons activities and behavior. Beacon loves Chelsie so much. 10 out of 10 recommend.”

About: I've been taking care of my reactive husky since we got him 5 years ago as a puppy, so I know what it means to deal with dogs, especially when they're being more difficult than not. I have a tech role at Amazon, but I'm extremely passionate about dogs. I even have a startup in the dog space. You can depend on me for being professional and reliable. The main reason I'm joining Rover is to learn even more about the pet space. Can't wait to meet your doggo soon! I work from home full-time, so my schedule is flexible. Please let me know you're preferred times so I can accommodate your schedule as well! My main goal will always be to make sure your dog is safe. Having an escape artist of my own, I'll make sure your dog doesn't run out of the house or gate. I'll make sure to give food, water, and, of course, pets and rubs as instructed and then leave as if I was never there! You can always let me know if you have any special instructions, and I will be honest about whether or not it's something I can handle.

Erica goes above and beyond to ensure Debra's well-being, always taking the time to understand her needs and preferences. Debra is always excited to see Erica, which is a testament to the bond they've formed. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring to watch over your furry friend, Erica is the perfect choice”
