About: ABOUT MY DOGS I have been a dog lover since before I can remember! I was able to learn dog-sitting skills from a young age when my family got our first dog when I was 5-years-old. We rescued Lucky while on vacation when his owners could no longer take care of him. We realized the first day we had him that he fetched the newspaper; it was like a scene right out of a movie! Lucky loved the water, so my parents and I would walk him to the beach and let him play in the waves until he was too tired to swim. When I was 14-years-old, my parents decided Lucky needed a friend, so we traveled to our local animal shelter and got Spankie. They loved each other from the start! My dogs have brought me so much happiness and I feel as though having animals in my life from a young age allowed me to learn responsibility, patience and the true meaning of loving someone else. DOG LOVER TURNED CAT LADY I am now a full-fledged cat lady, caring for my orange tabby cat, Toby. I am (more than) willing and able to care for your feline friends as well! WHY ME? I am a full-time employee at University of South Florida and live in South Tampa; my routine for your pet would include the following: a walk in the morning before work and plenty of play time and walks when I get off work around 5:00 p.m. each weekday. My weekends are flexible, allowing me plenty of time with your dog. My parents live far away, so I do not get to spend much time with my dog throughout the year. This experience will allow me to care for others’ dogs and give them the love I have always given my own. I am an extremely empathetic and caring person, coupled with my love for dogs, makes me a great match for Rover.
