“Nicholas did a great job with my dog Cody while I was away for a long weekendI had Nicholas come once a day for a long walk with Cody because my mom was alone with the dog all day and it gave her a break from duties and got some of his puppy energy out! I love the pictures he sent to let me know Cody was doing ok.”

About: I have been a pet "Mom" for many years. I treat each furbaby as one of my own. In addition, I'm a reliable, retired home care provider. My own dog is about 80 lbs, and I can expertly manage small, medium, and large dogs. I monitor pets and look for changes. I have partnered effectively with anyone who needs care for their pet. As long as no other owner has booked me, I am available 5 days a week and have flexibility with scheduling at this time. I will follow your instructions with how you keep your pets and your home, including how you manage your routines with food, potty breaks and walks and any special requests you have for their care. I will care for them as I would my own. For myself, I do enjoy quiet activities, and furbaby snuggles are one of those. My dog is a trained service dog. He is welcomed almost anywhere I go. He gets fed twice a day, treats as earned, and lots of love. I would pass these skills and habits along to your home and your pets.
“I’m new to using a dog walker. Finding Deb was a wonderful surprise. I was able to leave knowing Ollie and Penny would be safe, happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend Deb to anyone needing help with their pups.”

About: (FOR ALL BOARDING AND DAYCARE, DISTEMPER/RABIES PROOF REQUIRED) Hi there! I’m Lorenzo, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for all kinds of pets—dogs (from energetic puppies to laid-back seniors, all the way up to hands-on work with service dogs and police K9s), cats, and even farm animals. I love making sure every animal gets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve! I’m also the proud owner of two amazing dogs: Rocco, my Belgian Malinois, and Vito, my Shepherd × Retriever mix. We stay active with hikes, mountain biking, training sessions, and plenty of other outdoor adventures. If your dog loves exploring, I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation! I also offer dog training as a service, so pups can have fun while learning good habits. If your pet prefers a slower pace, I’m just as happy providing calm walks and relaxed companionship. Whether it’s a walk through the neighborhood, an adventure in the woods, a home visit, or a training session, I’ll treat your pet like they’re one of my own. My goal is to make sure every dog feels safe, has fun, and gets the attention they deserve while you’re away. Can't wait to meet you and your dawg! I can be very flexible and accommodating for your pets needs, whether it's daily visits, overnight boarding, or midday walks. Let me know your pet's routine and I'll be happy to accommodate! Your pet’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities! Pets will be treated just like my own, staying in a comfortable home environment where they can feel safe and cared for. I’ll take the time to earn their trust, respect their personality, and make sure every walk or visit is fun, relaxing, and stress-free!
“Catherine was absolutely great with our dog Maple. She did a meet and greet and asked thoughtful questions to ensure she knew the ins and outs of walking our pup. Catherine managed Maple incredibly well and took care in providing detailed rover cards of how the walks went!”

About: Hi! I’m Terri, and I’ve spent most of my life working with people, animals, and creating environments where others feel safe and cared for. I was a teacher for 20 years, so I’m extremely patient, responsible, and attentive to details—qualities that translate perfectly to caring for pets. I also have a strong background in customer service from my time at the Four Seasons, where I learned how important trust, communication, and reliability are. My schedule is very flexible right now, and I’m currently available most days from late morning through the evening. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and provide consistent, reliable care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention to routines, surroundings, and each pet’s comfort level. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I always follow any instructions you provide to keep your pet safe and happy.
“Ashley is so caring and thoughtful! She wants me and my dog to be comfortable, and really understands animals and thier needs. I feel very safe having my dog be taken care of by her! Thank you Ashley!”

About: I was lucky enough to train at a highly established pet boarding facility for over two years, in which time I learned how to provide the best experience for all of our furry friends. I am also CPR certified for adult dogs, puppies, and cats! Aside from that, I have grown up with and around dogs my whole life. I am almost certain, your furry friend/s and I will become best buds, if given the chance! I am currently a full time student at The University of Maine, however my schedule is very light next semester with most of my classes being online. I will also have cheer practice two-three times a week, leaving plenty of time for me to give tons of attention to your pets! Depending on what you would prefer, I am able to take walks, field trips, play dates, and of course lots of snuggles and belly rubs. If requested I am also able to do enrichment activities, for pups with the energy of hundreds!
“Our senior husky loves his daily walks with Audra! She takes great care with him, longer walks when he’s energetic and shorter walks when he needs to take it easy. We hired her because our boy could no longer go the whole day without a potty break while we’re at work and she has been so reliable. Loki is doing much better with this new routine as well.”

“Kristen was great with the pups, kind and caring, but they aren't quite ready for a dog walker- gonna take some time to get these rescues ready for other people to watch them:)”

“Fern did an amazing job with my anxious senior dog, Cookie. She walked Cookie from mid-July to mid-September, 2025, often daily. She was patient and helped problem solve how to have Cookie feel at ease. She built trust quickly, paid attention Cookie's patterns, followed a consistent schedule, and welcomed the cat as a bonus guest to the daily visits :) Fern was responsive, prompt, communicative and accurate in her updates. She has my highest recommendation and I would jump at the chance to have Fern work with our pet family members again. ~Audra”

About: Hi there — I’m a dedicated, experienced pet sitter with 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities. I truly believe there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach when it comes to our pets—every dog has their own routines, quirks, comfort levels, and needs, and I love taking the time to get to know what makes your pup feel safe, happy, and at home. Whether your dog is high-energy and playful, shy and cautious, older and in need of a slower pace, or has specific behavioral or medical needs, communication is everything. Please share any concerns, routines, triggers, fears, or special requests ahead of time—we’ll work together to make their stay as stress-free and personalized as possible. My home offers a large yard for supervised outdoor time, plenty of love, structure, and attention. I’m also a mom to two amazing kids (ages 5 and 7) who have been raised around animals and are very respectful of pet boundaries, body language, and personal space. For overnight stays, I do recommend bringing your dog’s crate if they’re crate-trained or may need a familiar, secure space for bedtime or decompression. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for—while you have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving, experienced hands. I’d love to meet your pup! 🐾 I can do overnights Wednesday Thursday and Fridays! Just reach out to me, schedule updated weekly for other services - overnights stay the same. Thanks! Your pet - your rules! I can play, snuggle, walk, feed, bathe your pet. I can crate your pet if requested. What you say goes!

Nick was great. Promptly responded and readily available and flexible willing to fit my schedule. He was even kind enough to clean up an accident my dog had when we weren't home. We also did a doggy daycare one day that my dog really enjoyed with the other dogs. Its great to see the pictures he sent also. Highly recommend Nick.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
