About: After losing my best friend, Benjamin Franklin, a 13.5 year old Lab mix, in May, I’ve decided to open my heart and home to caring for other dogs. I got Ben from a rescue when he was just 12 weeks old and spent the latter half of his life caring for his complex medical needs, including medications, specialized nutrition, and significant mobility assistance toward the end. I miss him dearly, and I know just how much our dogs mean to us. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors, and am comfortable with administering medications and extra care needs. I work from home, so your pup will have plenty of company and attention in my quiet, cozy home. I also love getting outside for walks and hikes and would love some company! Your dog will be welcomed with lots of love, patience, and snuggles. I know how hard it can be to leave your best friend in someone else’s care, and I want you to feel confident that they’ll be treated like family while you’re away. I currently work from home full-time M-F, so your pup would have company all day! I can board pretty much any day of the week, schedule lunchtime walks and will ensure your dog has what they need to be comfortable and happy. I have a large yard that is partially fenced, but dogs are always leashed when outside and never left unsupervised. I am close to many walking trails that allow a longer, leashed walk if a short car ride is agreeable. Dogs are allowed on the bed and couches if that is the rule at their home. I make it a point to prioritize their comfort and minimize any stress they may feel in a new environment.
About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoids the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.
“My little guy was happy to see Denise and Luca when we dropped him off for our 3rd boarding session, which is always a good sign. Denise takes good care of him, keeps him active, is responsive to inquiries in a timely manner. We are thankful for finding her.”

“Michelle was great, boarding our large dog. Took care of him as family. Frequent walks, fenced yard. Photos throughout the day. Michelle demonstrates care and compassion for our pup.”

“First time i left my dog with someone i didnt know, it was great! Trisha sent me photos, and updates time to time, my dog came back home happy and healthy. Totally recommend!!! ”

“Noreen was fantastic as always! Faye has stayed with Noreen multiple times now, and she always comes back an incredibly happy and (thankfully) tired pup. We are always very relieved when we can have Noreen watch Faye because of how well she cares for Faye during her stay.”

“Ansley was a pleasure to work with. She’s trustworthy, communicative, and kind. Ansley kept us posted with updates and pictures and was accomodating to our requests. Highly recommend Ansley and will rebook with her for future trips!”

“I have used Kathy’s boarding services twice and each time my dog Tessie has had a very positive experience. I feel that Tessie responds well to Kathy and is happy and healthy in her home.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - York Cliffs
Here's how I know my dog had a great time with Nick.... He was excited to see me at pickup, but not freaked out. He's been more social and more relaxed with other dogs since his time with Nick's cavalcade of dogs (that's a great thing). -and he didn't come home smelling like a kennel. It's taken a few tries to find the right place for my dog to go while I'm away... This one was juuuust right.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
