“Hannah was awesome! Even tho our request was last minute, she was very professional and responsive. She took care of Khai like a 5 star hotel would. We definitely recommend Hannah and will be rebooking. Thank you!!”

About: I truly believe that pets are part of the family and am here to treat yours as my own. I am the first person my friends turn to when they need a sitter, and have both hosted dogs in my house and stayed with them in their own. I also enjoy pet visits and walks! I work as a teacher, so most of my availability is on the weekend and during summer months, although I am available for evening visits or walks during the week. I have a large fenced in yard that is great for running and playing and live in a neighborhood ideal for walks. I have a large crate available, if your dog’s routine includes crating. My own golden retriever would love to be friends with and keep your pet company! While I allow pets on my furniture and beds, I will follow the rules established for your pet. Your pet will receive plenty of love and attention!
“I would definitely recommend Sarah for watching your dog. She took such good care of my Murphy while I was away on an unexpected work trip. Sarah sent lots of pictures and updates. Murphy seemed right at home there on her big comfy couch.”

“Sarge absolutely loved her visit! They welcomed her like she was a dog of theirs but more importantly Sarge relaxed with them immediately with no barking which she usually does. We are so thankful that now we have a regular sitter for Sarge who will treat her like we do!”

“This was my first time using the app and Jordan made it seamless! She communicated timely and made me feel at ease leaving my baby with her for 5 days. I got pictures and updates throughout my trip and I loved that she was willing to come over and meet us prior to booking. Highly recommended!”

“Alexandra and Robert did a great job with my dog, Baxter! He is a German shorthaired pointer and has a ton of energy. he had plenty of safe space to run and let all that energy out. He sent photos daily and told us how he was doing. He seemed very happy and would love to stay there again in the future. I will have Baxter stay with them again and highly recommend them to anyone!”

“Kathy watched our dog for a week and Nova had a great time! Kathy pays attention to every detail and ensures our dog is comfortable and happy! This was our second booking with Kathy and we hope she is always available if we need her!!”

“Oliver was so loved by Svitlana and her family. I had regular updates and photos, and my dog seemed so comfortable and happy while there. Svitlana was very communicative, and I highly recommend her. We will be repeat customers for sure.”

“Alexis and her husband are kind people who are obvious animal lovers. I love that she only takes in one pet at a time to reduce my girl’s stress being away from home. My Russell loved playing with her kitties and I enjoyed the photo updates she provided—they treated my pup as their own. Very grateful for them and their help, this rebooking!”

“We recently had to board our dog, Coco, with Joyce on very short notice due to a family emergency. We can’t thank her enough for her incredible care and support during this difficult time. From the moment we dropped Coco off, it was clear she was in good hands. Joyce was attentive, kind, and made sure Coco felt comfortable and loved. We truly appreciate the extra effort Joyce put into making our pup feel at home. We’ll definitely be returning for future boarding needs. Thank you, Joyce, for being such a wonderful host!”

“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

About: I’ve been caring for and loving dogs my entire life, with extensive hands-on experience caring for large and senior dogs. I’ve volunteered over 1,000 hours at Damien’s Gift animal sanctuary, caring for animals with a wide range of needs. I’ve adopted large senior dogs and have experience with breeds including Kuvasz and Huskies. I’m comfortable with grooming, administering medications, and providing the patience and attention every dog deserves. I’ve opened my home to provide a temporary, loving place for many dogs when their owners faced homelessness, medical issues, or other difficult circumstances. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved dog in someone else’s care, and I treat every dog as one of my own. Availability I work part-time from home so I’m usually here with the dogs. I’m home and available most of the time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m happy to work with you on your dog’s individual schedule and needs. Our Environment Your dog will stay in a peaceful, spacious 60-acre homestead at the end of a quiet road, surrounded by a creek and plenty of room to explore. I have a very secure, fully fenced large yard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space to relax. I have miles of walking trails through the woods, around the fields and down to the creek. Inside my home, I have several kennels available if needed, including a large 5’ x 10’ kennel and a 3’ x 5’ kennel. Most importantly, dogs are treated as part of the family and receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision.
“Deb was terrific, her home was wonderful wirh a nice large yard set far back off the road. She was very accomodating considering our last minute request for an overnight stay for our pup Dyson. He came home pretty happy!”

“I couldn't have asked for a better person, or a better family to watch Stella while we were away for 11 days. When we go away again, I am 1,000% using Alexis and her family again!!! She gave daily updates, and most importantly I could tell Stella was very happy!!! More than pleased with the entire dog sitting/boarding process. Thank you to Rover, and GIANT thank you to Alexis and her family!!!! 🙏”

“Kelly was great! The property Leo stayed with her was big and spacious with lots of space to run around. her dogs adapt well to other animals and Leo soon became part of the pack. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up and didn't see nervous or traumatized at all. Kelly was great about sending picture and updates to us while we were away.”

This is an beyond excellent sitter. I received several pictures everyday. Response was super quick when asking a question. My pup looked so happy in every single picture. You can tell he was treated as part of their family. I am beyond pleased with the boarding service provided ❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I definitely will use this sitter whenever I go out on a vacation if they are available. Thank you again!

Amy and her family are the absolute best! They took the best care of our pup who is deaf! They made sure he was cared for and took the time to learn his hand signals and work w him! He had the absolute best time playing and running around all day w their family in the yard and came home happy and tired! We will definitely be booking with them again in the future!!!

Katiuska was amazing! She was able to help us with a last minute overnight stay, and I’m so grateful she was available. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. She was also super flexible with drop-off and pick-up. The biggest compliment I can give is that my dog, who is usually very anxious, had such a great time that she didn’t even want to get in the car when I came to pick her up 😂. That has never happened before! I would absolutely book with Katiuska again and highly recommend her.

Ashton was wonderful with Willow! She got lots of walks and play time during her stay. She has separation anxiety but did very well, she was much happier to stay with Ashton instead of a boarding facility. I would definitely recommend him, especially if you have a large breed dog! Ashton was very easy to reach through the Rover app under short notice and communicates quickly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
