“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“Oliver was so loved by Svitlana and her family. I had regular updates and photos, and my dog seemed so comfortable and happy while there. Svitlana was very communicative, and I highly recommend her. We will be repeat customers for sure.”
“Candace was amazing with my pup! It was my first time ever using a service like this and she was amazing and calmed my anxiety! She took great care of Charlie, put me at ease and sent me pics to update me during her stay. She has great communication and was very understanding and flexible. I will definitely be re-booking with her!”

“Katlyn was great! Kept us updated on our dog, sent pictures, and gifted him the only toy he couldn’t stop playing with! Katlyn was able to take him last minute and a day earlier to make our trip easier! Very professional and personable as well! Looking forward to booking with her in the future as well!”

“Josie is so accommodating and she also gives love to each pet she cares for. Otto loves visiting with her and her family. I consider myself very lucky to have found her services. A repeat customer for sure!!”

“Amy and Patrick took wonderful care of our 7 month old pup. They have great communication, love for animals and are kind and wonderful people. Very highly recommended. Thanks for taking the best care of our puppy so we could have a great stress free vacation knowing she was well loved!! Thanks for the daily updates as well!!”

“Silvia & Roberto took wonderful care of my big baby girl. When we picked her up, it was clear that she had been well taken care of. She ate well and had fun with other dogs to play with. We have booked her again already and are very grateful for the care she gave of our Newfie!!! Thank you!”

“Bristoe had a ball! Thank you for having him! I loved the texts throughout my stay away from my boy. Theresa was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks again!! We look forward to future stays.”

“Michelle is the best, so we decided our dog deserved a vacation too. Rather than get a hotel room that takes dogs, he got to stay with Michelle and Emmy. He loves it there!💕”

“This is the first time I’ve used Rover and I had my reservations. I was more than pleased with my pet sitter. David was professional, communicative, punctual and very brave to take on my three beasts for a whole weekend. Not only did he care for them better than I do, I was able to leave them having the peace of mind that they were being well cared for in a loving home. David provided regular updates with how they were doing, but not too many to not enjoy my weekend of freedom! I would recommend David to anyone looking for a sitter. 10 out of 10 experience.”

“She has provided us with daily updates/photos of our dog. She replied to our questions promptly. She made sure that our dog feels comfortable at their home.”

“Pam & Michael were excellent hosts of my babies! My 2 girls loved their stay with them and Pam & Michael provided updates to me on them daily while I was gone. I'd highly recommend them for anyone to leave their dogs with!”

“Awesome dog sitter with no problems noted. Able to take dog last minute due to change changes of plans with no prior bookings with the sitter. Send pictures during time and Kygo really enjoyed his time there I think he can’t talk.”

“Titan really enjoyed his stay! Being a pet mother I hesitated leaving my baby with anyone but sewing how much he was taken care of in must say I was impressed. We will definitely return.”

“I was slightly (inconsolably) worried when I dropped off my five year old, anxious, rescue dog for her first boarding with strangers. However, the daily updates and pictures did much to ease my nerves. If I were ever in the area again, I would definitely look them back up.”

“Elizabeth was very kind and our dogs seemed well cared for when I picked them up. We are using Elizabeth's services again in a few weeks. I also appreciated the pictures she sent each day.”

“If you came to the reviews to see if Vasumathy is the right pet sitter for you. The answer is YES!! BOOK HER NOW!! She recommended a meet and greet before booking. Which is a great idea for you to know who will be taken care of your pet and where they will be. Vasumathy took care of my 3 month old puppy Dunkin, with short notice, for a few days while my family and I were out for some hours. She is very knowledgeable and gave us some advice on how to train our puppy as well. She updated us on how our puppy was doing through out the day. Asked questions on how to care for our little Dunkin. She is very personable and you can tell she loves animals in general. You won't go wrong with booking her. I found our future dog sitter and I couldn't be more happy. Thank you Vasumathy!!”

About: I’ve been caring for and loving dogs my entire life, with extensive hands-on experience caring for large and senior dogs. I’ve volunteered over 1,000 hours at Damien’s Gift animal sanctuary, caring for animals with a wide range of needs. I’ve adopted large senior dogs and have experience with breeds including Kuvasz and Huskies. I’m comfortable with grooming, administering medications, and providing the patience and attention every dog deserves. I’ve opened my home to provide a temporary, loving place for many dogs when their owners faced homelessness, medical issues, or other difficult circumstances. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved dog in someone else’s care, and I treat every dog as one of my own. Availability I work part-time from home so I’m usually here with the dogs. I’m home and available most of the time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m happy to work with you on your dog’s individual schedule and needs. Our Environment Your dog will stay in a peaceful, spacious 60-acre homestead at the end of a quiet road, surrounded by a creek and plenty of room to explore. I have a very secure, fully fenced large yard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space to relax. I have miles of walking trails through the woods, around the fields and down to the creek. Inside my home, I have several kennels available if needed, including a large 5’ x 10’ kennel and a 3’ x 5’ kennel. Most importantly, dogs are treated as part of the family and receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision.

Stephanie is great! She kept us up to date with videos and photos of Charlie. Nice home environment with a huge fenced in yard. She gave Charlie daily exercise and provided loving care. I would recommend Stephanie for your dog care needs. Thanks Stephanie! John & Rebecca Butler

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
