“Cassidy and Cody are always great with Stella, and she loves being able to play with their girls and dogs. We always get her back worn out and happy! Would book again!”

“Betsy took care of our dog Pickle this weekend. Betsy and her husband, Ron, could not have been lovelier. We felt very comfortable leaving Pickle in their care. We won’t hesitate to leave Pickle with them again when we need to go away.”

“Lisa was wonderful. She sent me updates and pictures throughout Emerson’s stay! Prior to confirming booking she went out of her way to give me a phone call to get to know his routine and him as a pup so she could make sure she was was best suited for him which I appreciated. He will be 6 years old at the Enzo f this month and this is the first time he has been boarded/staying with someone outside of my family/ friends. This experience so far has been a good one which made it easier to enjoy the vacation knowing he was being loved and cared for.”

“I don’t think I could give this an honest review because it’s only a five star review and my experience with 10 star! My boxer is two years old and has spent his entire life by my side since he was six weeks old, I had to go away for a vacation and worried about him not acclimating to a new environment. None of my fears came true, he was very well taken care of, and I would strongly recommend using Brionna! I never went anywhere for long but now I can rest assure that I have a fantastic pet sitter….. more trips may be planned in the future”

“De'Andra and Robert were, loving, attentive and nurturing caregivers that took the time to care for our Cockapoo and her special needs. It was a relief and comfort to receive many pictures and updates over the course of the week. Our pup seemed relaxed and happy in their home, making our time away worry free.”

“LAUREN AND DOUG ARE THE BEST! It is difficult to be away from my pup for a week, but I know that he is in the greatest care. I get the perfect amount of photos and updates. Whenever he is there, he receives so much love!”

“Charissa, Shawn and kids showed my Oliver nothing but love. He seemed extremely happy to be there. I would definitely recommend your family to anyone that needs a dog sitter. Will definitely request your services again in the future. Again! Thank you!!”

“My dog had a great time and was given the space and care he needed while we were away. Very happy with Tara's updates and willingness to handle Lucas' anxious personality.”

“Genalind is reliable, trustworthy, and incredibly caring! Her and her family watched our pup - Hershey - for 10 days and provided excellent care. Communication was perfect throughout the entire stay, she provided both pictures and videos, daily, of our pup enjoying his stay at her home. Hershey was so happy and content when we got home. 10/10 service—we will definitely book again!”

About: There's never been a time in my life when I didn't have a pet - dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc. I've helped take care of friend's and neighbors pets while on vacation since I was a teenager. We recently had to say bye to our dog, Bateman, of 13 years and as much as I'd love to welcome another pet into our lives, we're just not ready yet, but we'd love to show some love to your fur babies! We have a big, fenced in backyard and we are attached to a park that's great for walks, so I'd love to see Bateman's space put to good use. I work from home and don't have a set schedule so I can be flexible and available throughout the day. I also take daily walks at the park attached to our neighborhood, so I'd love to have friend to take along with me for some exercise. I used to have my own little escape artist at home, so I'm very cautious when opening doors to ensure no one gets out unless there's a fence or they're on a leash.
“Melanie and her family were amazing… Daisy is exhausted from all of the fun that she had. She was kind, and sent pictures and made Daisy feel like family. We are so appreciative.”

“Keisha was very kind and loving towards CJ. Her kids loved CJ and was very attentive towards him. She kept him on his diet and he has no stomach issues. Thank you Keisha for being so kind and loving.”

“I am a repeat customer with bookings already planned with Holly. She is excellent and I would not trust Barkley with anyone else. You can't go wrong booking with her. Thank you again!”

“We had a scheduled weekend getaway and we needed someone to dog sit our furry family member. Somehow we came upon Lynn and we are definitely glad we did. She treated him like he was hers and every day we received pictures and videos of him playing, running, eating, and obviously having a great time. Lynn is someone we look forward to sending our pup to again as she immediately feels like an extended part of our family. What are you eating?”

“Thank you so much for having Roxie while we were away! I felt 100 % comfortable leaving her behind, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my family during our trip. Roxie came home and went about her normal life. Boarding would have left her anxious for at least a few days. Thanks again for everything; especially peace of mind :)”

“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Red Lion
Lauren and her family were fantastic! We were a late/last minute booking and had issues in our return but she was accommodating to anything we needed. Plus her pictures daily were so nice and made us feel like our girl was happy. And she came home happy. It was a great and easy experience and I would recommend her to anyone and will absolutely use her again for our next trip.
Michele seemed to get along very well with Charlie right away. She regularly sent messages and pictures to us which we enjoyed receiving because they were humorous and also gave us information on what and how he was doing. She was flexible and worked with him on his sometimes unpredictable eating habits, his fear of fireworks, and his quirky personality. Charlie is very attached to us, but we felt that he was content with being with her and was fine on arriving at home which is a good sign that his visit went well. We would be happy to have Michele watch him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
