“I booked a very last minute week of overnight boarding for my 6 month old puppy Puck. D and B were both great and clearly well versed in puppy training issues. Nice family home. Puck even got to sleep with their 11 child every night! They sent photos daily with updates and accommodated my schedule changing for his drop off and pickup. I will definitely be using them again.”

“Michael went above and beyond taking care of our dog when we were away on vacation. He got sick the night before we dropped him off. We told Michael about it when we arrived and he was more than willing to take care of him. Turns out that our dog had a what appeared to be a partial blockage. Michael without hesitation was willing to take him to our vet to be diagnosed. He then faithfully gave him his medication all while communicating everything with us. We are more than grateful. Thank you Michael!”

“Courtney and her family were wonderful sitters and took great care of my Norman! I received pictures and updates on how he did for the two nights he stayed with them. Very sweet people and I would highly recommend. 😊👍”

“Leaving Daisy for 3 weeks in a kennel would have broken our hearts. Instead she stayed with a wonderful family! Big thanks to Donna for taking tremendous care of our pup and putting our minds at ease while we were away. Great communication and plenty of pictures kept us in the loop. We will definitely use Donna again!!”

“Amber is a great dog- sitter! She sent us pictures and videos often, of our dog, with updates on his status. She took him on lots of adventures! He was so well cared- for! Thank you, Amber!”

“Julie is fabulous. Our dog is named Zipper for a reason, and the week she watched Zip had an additional challenge of historic rain fall. He returned to us happy and healthy. Julie treated him as if he was her own. We can’t say thank you enough for providing a place of comfort, safety, fun and love. Highly recommend her without reservation”

“Tereza did a wonderful job with my dog. Tater Tot clearly liked her, and I came home to a happily tired dog. She was very communicative and took great pictures. It's obvious that she played with him a ton and even brought him on a nice long hike with her pup. Her dog was very sweet and polite. I felt like my dog was in really good hands. I hope she's available every time I go out of town.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for over a decade from high energy (I have a border collie) to low energy (I also have a shih tzu), elderly, and everything in between. I'd love to make your dog's day by taking them on a walk or giving them an incredible play time. Same goes for your cats! Whether your pets love activity or simply want someone to watch them sniff in the backyard or hang on the couch, I'd love to bring a highlight to their day. Right now, Friday nights through Sunday are the times I have completely free to dedicate to helping take care of your pets. I'm hoping to add more times soon and options to board. As someone who searches for hours to find the right person to watch my pets, I know how hard it can be to trust someone new to take care of your fur family. Whether it's pictures, reassuring texts, following your instructions exactly, or all 3 I will do my best to make your pets as happy and healthy as possible. I offer drop in visits and walks, so please let me know what you are and aren't comfortable with and I will make sure they are well cared for while giving you as many updates as you'd like!
“Kristin was a kind soul and a Godsend for our dog when we had to make plans in a hurry. Our dog is nervous around new people but she didn’t want to leave! Five stars. :)”

“Anna was the perfect match for our dog. This was our first time using Rover, so we were a little nervous. Anna communicated throughout the entire stay and kept us updated with pictures. Our pup was loved and cared for as if she was part of Anna’s family. We are so thankful for Anna and would recommend for others.”

“Deanna is such a great dog sitter! She and her lovely family took such great care of Romee. Romee had walks, plenty of playtime—just a perfect situation. Knowing Deanna was taking care of Romee allowed me to truly relax and not worry a bit while I was out of town. I’ll be rebooking with Deanna! Absolutely recommend.”
“Jen took excellent care of our 10 month old, high- energy Aussie! She was communicative and provided plenty of activities and exercise to keep him busy along with her two dogs that he befriended! She sent pictures and updates while we were away. We highly recommend Jen as a dog sitter and would use her services again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
